Dumb Enough to Buy Our Dream Car?!

- You would think that a mega-built Jeep Wrangler with a 426 hemi (or better yet, a 840hp Demon engine) on 40" tires would satisfy our automotive-obsessed souls...but no. Our dream car may not be an off road monster, but it is one of the most iconic cars to exist. So when an opportunity to buy one presented itself, we did the opposite of what any responsible adult would do - we bought it.
And then instantly modified it.
Hope you all enjoy the video!

Would definitely have to call this the exchange student whenever you guys get one!! I never heard of that metal, thanks Chris and Bec. Someone did a great job with that table!!❤❤💯🤙
Please send it in the pp 🍭 lol ok 💩 oppopplpppppl
Inconel is a super high temperature metal used in jet engines.
@@georgekerr8804 I was checking it out pretty cool stuff
I still say you guys need to add a separate channel or add more shop vids for these two. some of my most favorite fab and shop vids.
The smile on Kevin's face and his reaction says a lot !! I watch a lot of DDE videos but Kev's reaction to the exhaust sound is so genuine! You guys came such a long way in all the years i've been watching you and all the work, all the events and long hours you guys have put in to be where you are today is amazing. I don't get it tho, you should have so much more subs by now so i'm trying to spread the word about your channel and sharing videos as much as i can!
I thought about the same thing only 222k subs. Doesn't make sense. EVERYTHING ON THE CHANNEL IS SUPER COOL...🤠🇿🇦
Bro Chris!!!! You’re the best! So dope on the channel. And beck is super gorgeous!!! I love this channel! Gorgeous ladies who are into mechanicing and wheeling! And sick rigs and rides. Love you guys!!
Holy Exhaust! That sounds beyond beautiful.
Thank you guys, pretty cool video, loved Kevin running to the car and take off like a little kid with a new toy. 😀
There are too many emotions to put into this comment....... My FARVOITE car! I hope y'all made the purchase. Chris and Beck have been an amazing addition to your team. Keep it up!
Love how litebright always tells the haters how it is. There's always that one that thinks he knows better. You guys have inspired a lot of people keep up the great work.
It wouldn't hurt to have finder blankets too protect the finder finish. Beautiful work guys, you two make a great team 👏.
The exhuast sounds awesome. Even if you're not into them, you have to apperciate the craftmanship.
Awesome! Super happy for you all! What a fun new toy added to the lineup.
12:28 Oh the joys of working on exotic cars.
That. Sounds. Incredible. With that new exhaust, the sound ranks up there with the LFA.
Congrats y’all! Car sounds sick for sure.
Chris can do anything! Great job
Chris... "Who's the idiot that owns this Ferrari?" Brittany and Bec slowly turn to look at... Kevinnnn! 🤣😉
So Very very fun you all! Nice job to the team!
Nice, the 458 is my all time fav Ferrari. Congrats. And as always, love the shop videos from Chris and Beck. Don't change.
Great job. Awesome video plus all four of you rock and jelly!!
Knew it when Kev rented it. You guys rock. So much fun watching you build the stable.
Always a awesome video when Chris and Beck are in the shop. Kevin looks really happy with his brand new car. Awesome video Kevin and Brittany. Damn that car sounds amazing. Definitely a dream car. Lite Brite Nation for the win.
#positivevibesonly
Badass car Kevin
The Ferrari must be because of Bilstein Nurbergring drive.
Nice. The 458 is my favorite car of all time. It's just the best looking car I have ever seen. Plus mid engine 😍
You see guys, the boss from up above blessed you with the good deeds you’ve done helping those motorists got stock in off-road last week..
I'd never buy an exotic, but I sure do love the sound of the exhaust when it's revved up. Oh, and look at that, a whole 3 inches of suspension travel, haha!
Brittany hit the nail on the head......EARGASMIC! Attention all automakers that pipe fake engine sounds into their cars. If you're gonna fake it, make it sound like this please. 😁
I was in Siena last month and though we didn't plan it the Ferrari tribute to the Mille Miglia was in town. Imagine hundreds of Ferraris both stock and modded, revs echoing off the narrow walls as they drove right next to us. I used the exact same word as Kevin in this vid to describe the sound, Glorious. Ferarri exhaust note has got to be the best in the automotive world!
Love your vids and watch all but my favorite is the "bloopers" and funny stuff at the end. Keep being awesome!! :D
Love seeing people living their dream.
When I saw the first shot I was like no way did they do this no way, no way.
Kevin say bye to your drivers license 😂😂😂👍
Great job Chris & Bec it sounds awesome
I just want to state for the record… Daaaaaaaaym!!!!11111oneoneone
It sounds like quieter version of 2003-2007 formula 1 car. Same tone and everything.
You know you got what you want when our hairs on back of our necks stood up with every rev of that magnificent piece of engineering.
Good thing you are expert fabricators. Great video.
Inconel 751 This Nickel base alloy material is used for exhaust valves in engines that reach very high temperatures and its use is growing with the application of turbos and superchargers. High-performance marine engines use a lot of these valves. This is the first exhaust I’ve ever heard.
It’s current primary use is in jet engines.
That things sounds freaking awesome 👌
That’s definitely what an exhaust should sound like. It sounds badass!
Chris and Bec what a team!
When I was a machinist, we made many aircraft parts out of Inconel. Wasn't to bad to machine if you had the right cutting tools.
I work for the largest aerospace co. in the US , we’ve got 3/4 of billion $ of Inconel laying around in the form of jet engine parts. To say it’s miserable shit to work with is a understatement !
Worked with the stuff for years. What a miserable alloy to work with. What always blew my mind was it’s weight per volume.
What an awesome new toy, I am sure you will have a great time driving across the country in that
Awesome love the mixture of topics and always a cool seeing Chris and Beck
Congrats. I miss the naturally aspirated Ferrari V8's. The 488 and F8 never quite captured the same magic, even if they're better on paper.
so awesome. congrats on the newest car.
I'm so jealous, but I'm a positive supportive way. Nice car, great mechanic work and just.... wow!
Awesome so happy for you two! My dad just sold his old Ferrari to Denise Collins year ago ,,,and he just posted the finished car in video
Kevin now you have to experience your Ferrari on a racetrack! Might I suggest Laguna Seca? That's the only way to really appreciate all of that beautiful Stallion
Well! I must admit that is the first time I have seen a bare Ferarri butt!!! LOL I did enjoy this video because Chris and Bec always do great work and it is always interesting to watch.
That is not purring, that is ROARing.
i think no matter what the video is its always great, just love this channel. even bought some merch.
Poor Jelly had her whiskers torched . How long before her hearing recovered ?
458 is my favorite car! That sounds beautiful!
Not sure why he wanted a Ferrari but boys with their toys! Nice job Chris and Bec fixing and swapping out the exhaust! What's next a wide body kit for it! Happy Trails to all of you!
Wow Kevin wasn't Satisfied by the new AMW Noise had to have Frairie and even more coolness just cool 😎 and Chris you and Beck are the dream givers good job on the car.
More Chris and Beck! Cool work.
Bec, I think you need that motor in your jeep...lol oh that sounds is music to my ears.. great job.
Great video you two make a great team.
Beck and checkered flag, nice combination 👌!
*I worked for INCO, now retired, one of the largest Nickel mining complexes in the World, that played a part in Inconel's development. We use it in some of the acid processes and it is very, very expensive. I think it should change colour after it's heated* ...🙂
Best present chris ever got lol.
That is what you call Jack of trades and master of them all... Nice work Chris and Bec...looks like it is Christmas in July for Chris and Kevin
beautiful car, Wonder how much a shop would charge to do that job.. I can only imagine. thanks for sharing.
Putting that OF money to good use I see! Congrats!
The white sock treatment LOL
Si.ply sounds ds awesome and amazing....great upgrade....Chris & Bec wonderful job....shop videos are wonderful...Jelly was wondering were the noise came from....lol....eagerly awaiting your next video.....Safe travels
That welding table came in handy already.
Great job guys!
Sounds like some intake tones now, sounds great and much better than the old exhaust.
Definitely has that Indy car (F1) sound. I can empathize with things not going as smoothly as planned. A rounded off exhaust flange nut for me. A little work with the air chisel and it finally got removed. Of course, had to rethread the stud.
Nothing I get from Rock Auto ever looks that good. 😔😂
You guys guys are awesome 😎 love you all, been watching for some time now. You should come to Washington to reader pit, it's in sultan Washington. Great trails they just built two years ago
Love the sound.👍😀
I love your guys' channel.
Love this video. Great video guys.
Luv ya! Ed's nugget will be here soon!
The Nugget is done. Matt posted Ed's smile this morning.
I think of myself as being kind of lucky. My dream car is the Jeep Gladiator. Sure it is not a half million dollar super car but If I could only drive one vehicle it would be my Gladiator. If I could only have two vehicles # 1 my Gladiator. # 2 a built to the hills JL much like the StepChild. #3 would be a 73 Buick Rivera with Ferrari restomod guts and nuts. Lite Brite Garage Thank you for your time.
Inconel (CuNi) is a copper nickel metal… more copper than nickel…there is also Monel (NiCu) which is more nickel than copper… both great sounding… high pitch and it carry’s through wind… I use these metals when I make fishing bells for open ocean fisherman
I used to work with inconel to make heat exchangers. Trust me it definitely will rust over time and it is a biotch to weld.
I'm guessing Ferrari's are a pain to work on, this video shows it....... Chris and Beck ROCK!!! Im bring the RAD FIAT to race..... LOL
Jelly Belly totally approved of Chris's work!
Now I have to go research this magical alloy.....
In Kentucky it doesn’t have to be fast, just loud. Lol Mod one. Straight pipe. Lol
Awesome car! Do you have to follow the Ferrari rules of ownership? Fun video and looks like you guys are always having fun!
Ahhh, the sound of a Ferrari! With such an awesome exhaust system.
ANOTHER SWEET NEW TOY!!
Man that is definatly not off road ready, but I think it will sound great!!
Sweet Ride!!!
Now that you have entered the super car club you should collaborate with Stradman and Summit life there in Utah. I agree with Jeff on the name Exchange student is awesome
Chris, Inconel is not lighter than titanium.
I work with Inconel 625 and it’s almost doubled the weight of 6AL4V titanium.
Inconel and Hastelloy are both super alloys designed for high temperature applications.
Titanium is 4.33 g/cubic cm, Inconel is 8.44 g/cubic cm, and Hastelloy is 8.22 g/cubic cm.
Inconel is a pain to machine.
What he meant was it’s stronger and not as brittle in high heat and high vibration situations so in this application it can be thinner which will be about the same weight or lighter due to how much material is used. The reason we didn’t go with titanium is from all the failures we’ve seen of exhaust hangers ripping off the titanium exhausts and didn’t want the weight of stainless. This inconel stuff is crazy expensive and I don’t think people understand why. It’s crazy a small company is making full exhausts out of it
@@LiteBrite
The primary reason that titanium exhaust systems fail, is manufacturers don’t understand the post forming and welding requirements.
When titanium is formed, the working stresses are transferred to the surface. To remove those stresses, titanium requires an elevated temperature stress relief in an inert atmosphere. Prior to stress relief, titanium requires a chemical etch, normally a mixture of hydrofluoric and nitric acid. The inert atmosphere is a vacuum furnace that has been purged with argon. Few companies can afford their own vacuum furnaces, or the cost to operate them on a onesie, twosie baisis.
Like I typed, titanium is expensive to process and it’s these steps that add dramatically to the cost.
Don’t get me started on carbon/graphite reinforced composite materials, though you have one of those trinkets from the old exhaust tip surround. Junk!
I am mildly concerned about mig welding what appears to be stainless steel, when in a previous video you stated you didn't have nickle wire or mix gas.
What brand are the headers? They don't appear to be Kline.
Got to drive that again through a tunnel!!
I'd make that my ring tone😆 So sweet
Aston Martin Vantage V8 sounds even better than Ferrari, at least in stock configuration... Nice work on this exchange student!
What happened to the demon Child build
The Ferrari must be because of Bilstein Nurbergring drive. Kevin was looking for a super car.
…or, Bec could just lift it..! Skateboard? LOL! Eyes and skills of a fine Watchmaker, Chris. Good obs on that Header! No wonder the owner has issues. Do all that work and your friends show up to steal First Drive? How many times can Kevin say OMG! Did Brit really say “Orga…”..nevermind! Another toy for the neighbors ears! How long will UHP let you keep it..? Bec-In-The-Box! But Jelly steals the show staring at the Ferrari sounds! LiteBriteNationWhatHaveYouDone!
Chris, Master Mechanic is an understatement for you. I don't care for Ferraris but this video was awesome!
Now it sounds like game Need for Speed! 😁
But poor neighbourg! 😬
Even if i won the powerball id still be nervous to drive that car.
WOW! That says it all.
