  • On the 9th episode of the Sit Down, Jeff and BlackJack delve into the wild tale of Whitey Bulger. Bulger assumed control of the Boston Irish Mob through treachery and murder. He also lived a double life through the purview of the federal government, evaded prosecution and then evaded capture for 16 years until he was caught and then met a violent end.

While on the lam during the early 2000s, Whitey also took time out to star as Red on That 70's Show.

One of my favorite RUclips channels. From Boston. Read almost every book about him & Boston area crime. Im pretty sure it says Connolly met Jim in fall of '75. Flemmi was informing to H. Paul Rico since like '65. That's why unindicted co-cons. w/race fixing & Flemmi helped w/Anguilos. Great job Jeff👍!

Good show guys. You have one of the most accurate explanations of what Whitey Bulger and the John Connelly ordeal was. I know this because i was hanging out a lot with Whitey my last year of a 6 year bid at Coleman USP 2 in Florida.
I did a interview with Jimmy Calandra on his YT channel Nov 20 2021, Type in " Doing time with Whitey Bulgar " ( He spelt bulger wrong ) if you would like to see it. I am not getting traffic to his stuff just making it available to whoever is interested in Whitey.

This was very well done thank you for this ! I am from Somerville , MA . My family remembers how Somerville aka Winter Hill a as during the 60's , 70s and 80s .. Whitey Bulger - the whole Winter Hill Gang have been a fascination of mine forever and I just recently have been reading and researching about this so much in the past couple of days and this was extremely well done Bravo 👏
My grandfather was friends with Howie Winters. I remember him telling me one day when i was a teenager , a story that he never wanted to talk about .. it shook him up so badly and traumatized him so much that when he told me he was physically shaking ... one day In the early 70's .. He had been doing some things with my mom who was about 12 at the time and he stops at a spot so my mom can pick these flowers or something for my grandmother ... just pulled over on the side of the road it was near an open area and they get out of the car to pick these flowers, I guess , for my grandmother .. and they see a man who he said was Kevin Weeks in a long white button down lab coat type thing on an obvious weapon in his hand and a man completley tied up, duck taped on the mouth , .. and says to my mom " Run" .. and they run to the car and go back home completley scared to death . Never wanted to talk about it to ANYBODY understandably.

Lol!!! I needed a desperately real funny laugh and I just got it with this green underwear, green garbage can, or rather garbage bag thing that Jimmy did! This was great! You know I'm thinking back now to his death over there at Hazleton, and I hope that this ain't something that someone's going around bragging too much about, because for Pete's sake the guy was over 80 years old, and I mean, well you can put one and one together Jeff iykwim.💯😉👍😇

The thing about being a rat, it's going to benefit you. Friend or foe, he was a rat. Smart or not. And yes, there's more ratty rats out there

Was in 2 separate medium fci's and there were definitely geriatrics. Mehdoff was in a camp because his was a white collar crime and I'm assuming no (violent) priors. In fact, a super max would've been the safest for him.

1:25:50 Other guy is kind of crazy with all the love he was throwing for Whitey the whole vid and saying he'd "shed a tear for him" lmao. How out of it do you gotta be, Bulger was street for sure but he was wayyyy past alot of the mob/street type guys that were out there; a broken man but also a real cruel fork-tongued sonofabitch.
