Obviously he was withholding certain information to protect himself and his informants during that interview, but the man was more honest than I expected him to be. It's crazy to think this is the same guy who became childhood friends with Whitey.

The two of them, she and her husband were as clean as anyone could get just trying and then managing to buy, open and maintain a one-off small business so they could work for themselves. Then Whitey and his goons showed up. The Irish mob that was based in Somerville and South Boston had serious internal struggles in the 70's and the fact they had killed off so many of their own in the 70's, it left Whitey an opening when he got out of prison and came home and he immediately started letting everybody know he was the new force to be reckoned with. The Angiulos from the North End should have taken care of him.
Connolly's first federal sentence was 10 yrs for obstruction of justice. While he was serving that, he went on trial in FL for 2nd degree murder of John Callahan, which he was found guilty of and sentenced to another 40 years.
