  • There is no doubt that Arthur Shawcross is a psychopath. Found guilty of killing 2 children and 11 prostitutes his tales of cannibalism and mutilation have made him one of America's most notorious serial killers. That he killed 13 people by asphyxiation is certain.

      @@AdolfIlCinicoGranting any form of pleasure or comfort to that despicable murderer is absolutely ludicrous! It's beyond belief that someone would even consider it. The fact that his granddaughter had to meet him is a travesty. She'll have to live with the knowledge that her grandfather was the most prolific serial killer in US history, and that's simply unacceptable. It's a traumatic experience that should have been avoided at all costs. That image will haunt her forever, and it's an injustice that she shouldn't have to bear it.

Cannibal Corpse used a sample of Shawcross describing how to prepare and eat female genitalia on a song, coincidently. The 27 year old listed as the cocaine addict, was a mother of two, long estranged from her family. A quiet person, who spent her entire teens years looking after a younger sister with spina bifida (that sister died prematurely). Ann 'had aids', and was pregnant at the time she vanished . Apparently, motherhood and the sister's death drove her over the edge, later made worse by drugs of all kinds. And this was barely scratching the surface of her story.

    I hate how the government tries to justify all these murders just because he was a run away with trauma, theres a million people out here with bad people in their lives that don't decide to become serial killers.

    • @Froggele
      @Froggele 2 месяца назад +2

      It’s not about justifying or excusing what people like him did. It’s about finding risk factors for violent behavior and trying to intervene as early as possible. It’s statistically proven that childhood trauma is a major factor for developing mental illnesses and showing destructive behavior (against oneself or others). Why do people like you not understand how important that information is and that we need to further study these people? Protecting children seems to be the most important thing to prevent future crimes and we already have proof how certain neurological damages cause violence from studying the brains of footballplayers for example. Maybe some day we can heal those neurological issues.

      At the end of the day this guy was a sociopath no matter if he had brain damage or not. There are plenty of examples of serial killers that had perfectly healthy and normal childhoods and many children who were abused who didn’t become serial killers, I bet the vast majority didn’t. Most people who experience trauma become addicts and suffer severe mental illness. This man was a monster and was born as one . I have no doubt.
      I think at the end of the day the logic that the defense put up has its merits and I think there’s some legitimacy to it but the fact that it isn’t a feature that is consistently repeatable with other people with similar traumatic experiences shows at best correlation not causation.

If someone proves to me that there is a satanic character who lives in a fiery hell below us and torches you for eternity for sinning on Earth, then I will stand corrected and withdraw my statement. If not I will continue to embarrass religion for what it is.. Honestly it is not right to teach kids about suffering a violent eternity in hell for not giving yourself in your entirety to Religion. So as it stands I will bash whatever religion I want because it is a prehistoric outdated way to look at life (especially with the breakthroughs in quantum mechanics) and it is a disgusting system to teach kids.

      well the blinking like that is actually very common with people not used to haveing a camera in their face.
      in fact TV people go to classes to learn NOT to blink as much and that.

    This is one of the most clinical minds of the killer i seem to of come across ....truly truly chilling how these sort of people function at a very organised and meticulous method of mental capacity ...wots more chilling is that ther far happier and glad to be alive than the normal god fearing good people with hearts of pure gold .........

    They really messed up giving him that plea deal after he killed those 2 kids. I can't believe he only ended up getting manslaughter and doing 15 years after he killed 2 children. That is disgusting and freed him up to kill again when he was released. That was a shameful sentence, disgraceful.

    Serial killers are successful not only due to their sharp wit in avoiding getting caught (at least in the beginning), but also by family who will keep the secret and the incompetence and corruption of the police and/or authorities.
