@@RaleysSmallEngines The bolt that holds the brake on the right side of my deck stripped the threads. The only way I knew how to repair it was by slightly enlarging the hole, and putting a locking nut under the deck. My sisters grandson uses the mower, and told me the belt came off again. Is my problem that the deck brakes need adjustment, or that I had to jury rig the bolt that holds one of them? I thought I was careful to leave enough play in the bolt for the brake to work. I'm not sure about the brake linkage adjustment. Any advise would be helpful.

Nice video T-Bone and Mrs. T-Bone. I noticed when you were putting the first rear deck mount on (left side) it was backwards, the right side wss correct. I must say you've made my mind up about getting and electric winch as my little helper. Just getting to old to be using brute force. Like you've said many times before, " work smarter, not harder. Again, thanks.😎✌

Just did your Niki carb swap on a intek single cylinder BS. BS new carb a little pricey. But that’s ok. It runs better than new. Had to file a little on the intake side plastic. That’s it. Pretty much a bolt in swap. Thanks for your help T-Bone. Hats off to ya.

My John Deere 325 keeps throwing a belt. The one on the engine driving the deck. The tractor has an electric PTO clutch. It's an older 48" deck. The double stack pulley on the deck looks fine. Spindles are o.k. & no issues with the deck belt itself. I've replaced the worn pulley shaft, for the double stack pulley. I also replaced the worn plastic bushings. It has a new belt. Still throws the belt ! 🤨😖

Love your channel ! ,,,,, I have learned a lot from you, great info all around ,,,,,,,, I am currently in the process of putting a new engine on my John Deere Z445 ,,,,, the engine is a direct replacement for the factory engine (Briggs V-twin) ,,,,,, what should the engine mounting bolts be torqued to? Most importantly, what is your break in recommendation procedure ? I am using Driven brand break in oil ,,,,,,, What would you advise to do from the first start ?? How long should i let it break in before putting full load on engine ?? How long should i leave break in oil before changing to regular oil ?

I don't think I do, but good suggestion. Remove rear engine cover, Disconnect wire from coil and test with an Ohm meter. Disassemble handle and ohm test switch. Then you will know if it's a broken wire or switch. Most of the time I find a broken wire inside of insulation. Hope this helps

I have a 21HP B&S on a Craftsman rider. During the last mow the engine began operating at a much higher RPM in the "run" throttle position . It was not surging. Engine rpm would reduce when throttle backed off. Check of RPM in run position showed 4000 rpm. It would run at about 3500 at low throttle. I didn't see any of your videos that address a "High RPM" situation. Governor assembly appears to be OK and intact and operating at various throttle positions. Any ideas?
