Three left hand grip errors

when I grip it like this, there is space inbetween my palm underneath my thumb and the grip. Is this correct? I thought the left hand needed to be on the club to stabalize it.

Yes that’s correct. In fact you’ll only have the pad on the end of your left thumb in contact with the grip.
