    I cannot tell y’all how much this video saved my game. I’ve been watching tons of videos on the golf grip because I’ve been feeling mine isn’t working anymore as I’ve gone from low 120s to low 90s since I started 6 months ago. All the other videos from big RUclipsrs just talk about strong/weak but NO ONE has mentioned not fighting your own anatomy. I literally stood up and saw that my hands do hand super strong naturally with my palms almost completely facing behind me. Never even realized it. I watch Grant horvats video and have been trying to implement a natural grip for weeks and it’s just annihilated my game because it’s not natural for me! Thank you guys so so much!

    Went from single plane golf back to conventional and this channel has been a huge help! Ball striking has been sooo much better lately and the scores will follow, almost broke 80 for the first time in 20 years, pulled the string and spun one off the green at my home track and came 6” away from an ace on another hole. Thank you so so much.

    Good information here, I think the grip is something that is natural to each person and I have bought into this for about two years now. I am one of the outliers where my palms face behind me when standing at address. I tried to have a 2 knuckle grip for years because I thought this was what must do to be a good golfer and did nothing but hit wicked slices. I have switched to a 2.5-3 knuckle grip and I am playing my best golf ever. Grip is so personal and there’s so many ways to get it done.

    Going through a grip change, actually a re-learning of what I'd been taught before. At 67, it became obvious, grip changes with time if we don't pay attention to it. I have been gripping repeatedly with a club at home to get over the discomfort of change. Makes it easier now to go hit balls when it feels more natural. I think this might be a really important question, when you grip the lead hand, should there be a gap between the thumb(pad) and the grip or should thumb(pad) pressure towards the topside of the grip and towards your fingernails, i think this is a really valid point because if i hold my club parallel to the ground with my leadhand and just relax my wrist, it will bend my wrist a lot more downwards if there is a gap. Please answer❤😊

  • @randallzahn1845
    @randallzahn1845 Год назад +1

    Where does the grip lie in relation to the pad of the left pinky finger? I hear you reference "in the fingers", but if the grip is really in the fingers, the left hand gets really strong when it wraps around the club. If the grip presses on the underside or palm side of that pinky pad, do you still consider that in the palm?

  • @tlavery59
    @tlavery59 Год назад

    One question at the 7:13 mark of the video you talk about a T-Line(perpendicular line) in front of the body and having the leading edge perpendicular in front of your body and having the leading edge aligned with the shaft. Is the spot in front of your body the spot behind the ball at address? You have great content, but I love getting into the details. Thank you

  • @batman48195
    @batman48195 3 месяца назад

    I also think that if you have a larger hand like I do then your thumb ends up more to the left of the shaft. The 2 knuckle check point is probably the most important

I follow all your advice and I’m playing the best golf I ever played so I don’t really want to change my hand position unless I can strike the ball better.

    I like the way you explained everything but disagree with the idea that a strong grip with 3 and a half nuckle like mine is wrong . I tried them all and find that the only grip for me is super strong . all i have to do is make sure i rotate through the shot to keep the clubface square. can hit fade and draws with a shut face at address. . Seen a few video where they agree with the the strong grip but your saying its not good. very confusing for someone who is learning to play . I think what i am trying to say is that its so individual that you have to experiment in practise to find what suits you the best. .
