Especially if it happens several times in the same stint. Coughing in a mask - not nasty at all - keep that mask on!
Imagine someone complaining about being "forced" to wear a seatbelt while in a car, and being angry that there was no option to have your car "opt out" of an airbag. Surely these are insidious government conspiracies to do . . . something . . .

Chronic illness here too. One thing most folks seem to realize is that they, like us, can adjust and have a meaningful life from home. Also, unlike ours, their situation is temporary. One thing I was hoping would come out of this was the development of more resources available to folks in their homes. We've got better telemedicine already, a good start. Have a better 2021.
I’ve had a call come down to the ambulance for “pt states they’re dead”, got there, found them lying in the street, the patient was convinced they were dead, vital signs suggested otherwise. And now I can safely say everyone walks, even if they’re dead. Good news was our local A&E sorted the patient right out

Yeah, not comfortable. Better than death, bro.

@@LadyNikitaShark pretty certain some glass could be better at it than others, or my optician insisted on putting in a cheaper glass that was a complete nightmare to get clean after they got wet or foggy. current ones are more convenient than that but they still get really foggy. i don't think i ever asked specifically about less foggy glasses. but my current ones doesn't feel nearly as bad as some older, and not as good as my first ones despite supposedly being similar, but there has to be ones that are better.

That reminds me of being taken to the ER by ambulance one time, for a serious leg wound from a stupid fall, and arriving at the same time as these horrific car accident victims. After almost 6 hours of waiting, my 15 leg stitches were administered by a very nice pediatrician who had volunteered to help in the ER for the backlog. I think she said I'm the oldest patient she'd treated since med school. I was 24 lol. Later, when I had the stitches removed at a local urgent care, there was admiration for the work, they said these were the smallest, cleanest, closest together stitches they'd seen, that probably 10 would have worked instead of 15, but that really minimized the scarring. Lesson being, just because a doctor is a specialist does not discount their skills. That gynecologist might be the best intubator on staff.

That CT Scan meme hits so true. I have a chronic headache, still under investigation (even after 7 years). The very first thing my GP did was to book a CT. About a year later, that practice closed, so I had to get a new GP. Instead of looking at the history, and despite me saying I already had a scan a year earlier, they booked me for another CT. And I can tell you, if you got constant headaches, a CT is not a pleasant experience...
I do get people pulling their mask down to talk to me occasionally when I have to say "what??" once too often. (I'm a bit hearing impaired and grocery stores are one of the places where my operational ear has problems.)

Carried on a work in a healthcare setting for those two days... so yeah... also, I’d had my fist dose of vaccine 7-9 days prior to exposure to the virus (not long enough for the vaccine to have built up immunity) and I know exactly which co-worker I caught it off of... such fun...
