"No you use your literal digit"
Well, in Latin and a lot of Romance languages digital also means "using your finger". The other use of digit comes from the fact that people used and uses their fingers to count.
I legit spit my coffee with 'I diagnose you with dead'. OP owes me coffee
Really really honorable that you mention Doctor mike's video. I personally don't like him that much, but i still think it's really humble of you to still sort of show respect. A great content creator and a great personality :p
Zack R. Got to have the high ground. Dr. Mike’s team disrespected him but Dr. Hope is just that good a person.
I'm glad you posted this so I didn't have to! ... There's something a bit wrong about Dr Mike's personality (or just wrong for me). Dr Hope does the correct thing by referencing Dr Mike ... They're both doctors on RUclips so they are bound to cover similar issues (as do Pilots or MRE reviewers). I'm subscribed to both, but much prefer Dr Hope's style.
@Amenon1994 dish the tea please.
Zack R. wait, they both had beef before? what’s going on?
Yes. More because dr. Mike doesn’t do research and thinks too much of himself. It started with the reacting to medical dramas. Dr mike did one and didn’t mention dr. Hope. Dr hope called him out on it in private first and then made a video about showing smaller creators respect and giving credit and mentioned how dr. Mike didn’t do this for him. Dr mike left a rather lengthy and self righteous comment on that video. Dr hope pinned it and it’s still there.
On behalf of 9 year old army across the world, I'd say thank you Dr Hope, for doing your part in PewDiePie vs. T-Series War

Amarianee is there a beef between the two doctors? I’m not caught up with Dr. Mike
@@andante4904 Not really a beef. There was just a strange bit of disrespect that happened a long time ago when Dr Hope and Dr Mike were new. So it's nice to see this classiness.
@@andante4904 Dr. Mike simply proved not only of being incapable of reading, but also to outright lie about what others said, while at the same time behave like a 12-year-old edgelord.
And despite this, Dr. Hope was mature, classy and informative all throughout. What a good man.

I’ve heard of that amputation with a 300% mortality rate before. What happened supposedly is that he was a visiting surgeon that was allowed to help or at least stand beside the table during the procedure. The surgeon performing the amputation was careless with the saw and slashed across the other man’s chest but only cut the man’s shirt. However the shock of almost being killed with the saw caused a heart attack which was actually fatal.
Its from a time before proper sedation. The only way to amputate was very fast and with a lot of force. So fast in fact that a man died from shock watching (the one you mentioned) , a nurse was cut and died from infection (i think), and the patient just didn't make it. Or maybe he didn't want to live with just one of his balls left.
Sooo, what I heard was that the Surgeon did the amputation so fast that he accidentally severed several fingers from the person assisting him. An observer was so shocked by the brutality of what happened that they died from a heart attack, the patient and the assistant died from infection.
I heard this recently and I can’t remember where ...
You're the best doc, keep going, you're doing amazing 💜💜💜💜💜

@Super Cool He didn't insult us, in fact, he protected us when he heard about his fan base being toxic to Indians.
All the things you're thinking are racist in the song are actually references to different things. Watch this:
www.quora.com/What-do-you-think-about-PewDiePies-videos-on-India
@Super Cool Plus he said shit abt T series not the whole India. tseries a company they dont giv a shit abt people or thier fanbase.. They only care abt $$$
@Super Cool It's a meme mate chillax, learn to take a joke it's not about patriotism at all. I'm Indian btw.
@Super Cool Are you not familiar with internet culture? Bitch lasagna doesn't even mean anything, it's taken from a indian meme and the "I'm half indian / jai hind" title was suggested by one of his Indian fans. The bobs and vegana memes comes from indian/pak dudes most of the time so that's why Indians are usually mentioned when referring to bobs and vegana, And also Tseries was a company started by selling pirated music copies back in the day so he has no reason to respect "Tseries" hell, he probably doesn't even listen to any of t series songs. Many companies get mocked by public every now and then, even youtube. Not to mention that Tseries promoted a song by a rapist and tax evasion they did so that's one of my reason to not support them. One last point is that it's about individual creator vs whole corporation, not Pewdiepie vs India, coming from an Indian.
"Yass" Jacksfilms cant approve it
you mean *Medical👏Meme👏Review*
MMR vaccination.
woah, this thing about "doctor language" is really interesting, i can see that (if you know how to use it) it would be easier for describing health states (instead of using plain enlglish)
Maybe not easier, since plain language would be easier since you don't have to learn anything extra, but it definitely could be faster
Yeah I'd take a guess and say it's probably easier and quicker to write down and read in regards to emergencies, so that patients who needs treatment can get it as quickly as possible. Other than that, it's like some new language you need to learn lol probably not easy at the start though trying to remember all the terms. Screw being a doctor, but I applaud anyone who becomes one!!!
You gave a shout out to a lot of people in this video. PewDiePie, Dr Mike, that medical meme Facebook page.

Today I learned the medically euphemistic term for shoving a finger up a patient's butt. Now to figure out some scenario where I can casually bring it up in conversation. Thanks, doc!
You should host official Meme Review! Fellow 9 year olds let us make some noise!
Not used to seeing UK doc notes. Over here in America it would be 28F BIBA 3xday RLQ pain (+pain scale) N+V. PMH neg, G1P1 via CS. BCP, NKDA. We usually would leave out the ADL status unless the patient was normally unable to perform ADL and now could not OR was WC bound at that age. Admittedly, some docs do use the 9 area grid but most use the quadrants.
I LOVE the low key shade 🤣 being the bigger person and shouting out Dr. Mike as having done this first. RUclips likes to try and recommend his vids (likely because I watch you) but after his previous, less than courteous behaviour, those go straight to "not interested." 😊
What’s the tea?? Is there even a tea??
@@andante4904 it was a while back, before Dr. Mike really started reviewing medical shows (especially House). Dr. Hope had been doing it for a while, and in the beginning it was actually mostly House. This was before he had a decent number of subscribers too, and Mike was a significantly larger channel i.e. RUclips's algorithm would push Mike's videos over Hope's in recommended. Anyway, he never mentioned Hope, even in passing like, "Dr. Hope has a series reviewing shows and I thought I'd do the same," which is common courtesy. Most RUclipsrs will say something to that effect when they do the exact same type of video, be it beauty gurus, movie review channels, challenge shows, etc. Hope broght up the point and Mike/his team, blocked him and was just childishly rude about it. I think they ended up talking it out, at least being civil, but they're not on bestie terms. He made a video briefly addressing the issue, because a lot of subscribers were mad and coming to Hope's defense when they saw Mike's videos popping up. He was really classy about it imo.
@@Amarianee I was wondering why I suddenly started getting recommended his videos after seeing one of Hope's, I got them confused and subscribed by accident thinking I unsubscribed from Hope

I do appreciate your shout out to Doctor Mike. This is really cool! :) I like that you're breaking each meme down to explain it to us too.
There was one time I went to the doctor for a checkup after having vomited for an entire day prior. (My mother in law is the state nurse, and always likes it when I get checked just incase.) I was fine. I had been waiting for a hour, and he finally came in, sat down, began asking questions when a knock sounded on the door. A nurse opened it and said, "The patient in room 3 is code (special three digit number.)"
The doctor's face became white as a sheet, he seemed taken aback and he said, "Do everything you can to not let him leave this clinic and call an ambulance." And then, AND THEN, he felt like he needed to take care of me first. I just lifted my hand and said, "I can wait. I don't know what happened, but it doesn't sound good."
He thanked me graciously and called another doctor to take his place when they have time. I ended up sitting in the room for another hour and a half, luckily I brought my sketchbook, specifically for moments like this (and to calm my nerves before an appointment.)
I've never felt so much fear for a complete stranger I had never seen before. But when the Doctor seems worried, I can't help but wonder if my time would have been the difference in this stranger's life. And waiting longer is worth every second.

Could you do a video about the laboratory? I work as a medical laboratory scientist and in my experience we get a bad rep with quite a bit of the rest of the hospital. We are dedicated to our patients but in a different way. Also, a lot of the general public doesn't know we exist. I would love to hear about it from your perspective as well, your view of the lab, the "battles" between doctors/nurses and the lab, and how we could improve this relationship. Also, hemolyzed and clotted specimens. You are so great at explaining things in great detail, I think you would do a wonderful job at bringing this to light. Anyway, love your videos! Addicted! MEME 👏 REVIEW 👏
Memes were fun, bonus part was fascinating. Thanks!
Is this obscure language of doctors universal? Do they have different code system in the US or is it the same as in the UK?
I live in the Philippines and currently in my first year in medicine, and we use those abbreviations as well so I'm guessing they're universal.
@@nope3926 Cool. Good to know. Thanks.
universal and not just doctors. anyone in healthcare knows haha
Some are universal, some are country-specific, some can be even hospital specific (i.e. someone came up with a certain abreviation and other doctors started copying). Some may even vary between specialties, so a cardiologist might have trouble reading a psychiatrist's notes, and vice-versa.
And needless to say, different languages have their own abbreviations as well.
@@_ainyy I'm a biomedical scientist and I had no idea what any of those abbreviations mean. So not "anyone" in healthcare XD
In fact, most MDs seem to go to their respective lab personnel or nurses and then have them translate, usually in a hurry, which leads to an entirely new series of fun things.
I think the one that sticks out the most was something like "Previous untreated SLE, patient returns with unknown inflammation".
I loved the medical challenge - keep them going. The meme review idea was great too. All the best DR.
