Dutchy, i think the problem wasn't that you were necessarily excluding other labels from the acronym, but giving straight allies a place in the community, when even if you're straight and support the LGBTQ+ community it doesn't make you a part of it. that's kinda like saying a white person who is anti-racist is POC just because they support different races, if that makes. love your videos but 'allies' not being a part of the community isn't really something that is 'just an opinion' no hate at all to you, i just wanted to point this out :)

I assume an ally is a cisgendered hetero person, and they can still get married despite being an ally, they can go to any country they want and hold their partners hand without the fear of being k!lled for it. Supporting the LGBTQ+ community should be the norm and not something special, Allies are more like guests, they're awesome, they're welcome but they're not part of the community because they're cishet. And I feel like a true ally wouldn't need a place in the community or a part of the spotlight. And you won't be able to change my mind on that. On the other hand Asexuals, Aromantics and Agender people are a part of the community but that gets forgotten because people say the A is for ally, and that's why I wrote that comment,

My favorite part was the "Beard". Beard may also means that both people can be homosexuals but they present themselves as heterosexual couple in front of other people who don't approve of homosexuality. I am 100% straight guy, but I wouldn't mind be a "beard" if I have a close female friend who is a lesbian and must hide her sexuality.
