  • This film about the Boston Marathon bombing is Peter Berg's 2nd biopic in 2016 about recent tragedy....I think the guy may have found his stride as a director. Here's my review of "Patriots Day"!

      twistedmetalplayer21 his reasoning for such low quantity is pretty poor too. i feel like he really doesnt do it as much cause I doubt he enjoys it anymore, but its been like that for the last 3 Years so it doesn't really matter.

      Except for Moonlight and Manchester by the Sea! I honestly don't understand why he refuses to see them. If it's because they're straight up Dramas, then I may lose a little respect for Jeremy. At least Chris Stuckmann has been reviewing everything.

    I was a spectator at the 2013 Boston Marathon, and I walked past the finish line about an hour before the bombs went off. By the time I heard the explosions, I was two blocks away. I just saw this movie yesterday, and the beginning was pretty hard to watch, but in the end, I really loved it. Easily one of my favorite movies of 2016, and a very respectful, moving biopic. Definitely worth checking out once it gets its wide release

    Hi Jeremy, I was touched and got sentimental watching this movie. I lived there for three years and 2001 Boston Marathon was the first ever marathon race event I watched live, I was there in Copley Square and love every minute of it and it got me to start doing running. Thank you Peter Berg for making this film, it is something we have to remember. Not the hate but the love. Not the horrific explosion but the unity. #bostonstrong

And for the people who actually experience this event of what happened that day I don’t think they could experience this movie because it would take them back to that day. Great movie but it’s hard to get though.

      20GRIZZ20 bc the case is still ongoing. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is still appealing his case and he cud later be proven innocent which wud then destroy the whole narrative of the movie. Or looking at it from the otherside, if the legal system is fair, tsarnaev shud get another trial but since a shitload of idiots wud have already seen the movie it wud just be more engrained within them that tsarnaev was indeed guilty when hes actually not. Im sure if ur case is still ongoing, and ur contesting it, u wudnt want someone to make a movie about u commiting the crime.

    The Pianist is, in my opinion, one of the absolute best movies ever made, but I've only watched it once, and may never watch it again. The experience I had watching it was so real and emotional that I want it to live as a memory of a passionate retelling of an historical event, not as a movie. Adrian Brody gave the best performance by an actor that I have ever seen and it shook me to my core. That's a movie I only need to watch once.

      It's starting to become really common to have a movie based on real life tragedies and that is kind of weird. What's next? Paris attacks? Brussels attacks? Nice attacks? Maybe, just maybe, only americans are willing to do movies based on american tragedies.

      goduxunike It's a difference in mentality really. In Europe it's a taboo subject to capitalize from tragedies even for patriotic reasons. On the other hand, such films really boost the Americans morale, they find them uplifting.

    For me it's probably the godfather. The film is a masterpiece but since it's so long and has a pretty slow buildup, I can't really see myself watching it again. That film is still fantastic though.

    • @alissa6
      @alissa6 7 лет назад +2

      I watch it all the time, it's one of my favorite movies, just fast forward the wedding and you'll be good. But if the movie bothers you for that sole reason, I wouldn't recommend you watching part 2.

    • @Jigsaw407
      @Jigsaw407 7 лет назад

      I never understood how The Godfather is considered a masterpiece. It drags like hell and that tampon face Don Corleone is so ridiculously overacted that I have to laugh instantly when I see him. Seems to me like a "the emperor's new clothes" kind of deal, where everyone just regurgitates how great it supposedly is without daring to point out the numerous problems the movie has.

    Peter Berg is the biggest current example of a director that really proved everybody wrong, when he started out with Battleship his name was pretty tainted afterwards and a lot of people thought he would just be the next big crappy action director but with these true story dramas it seems like he found his stride and a lot of people seem to respect him now

    • @bradwright9477
      @bradwright9477 7 лет назад

      KotorFan3231 The Social Network is probably the most inaccurate movie ever but it's still a phenomenal film. Just because a film doesn't follow everything to the last point doesn't make it bad. Every film based on real events will be inaccurate unless its a documentary

    • @KotorFan-zb1bo
      @KotorFan-zb1bo 7 лет назад

      Brad Wright no this film is also just bad. This is supposed to be a factual documentary. Social network was a film.based on a true story there is a difference. Those films are not the same. This documentary was innacurate misleading straight up false at some points. Very divisive and overall just terrible.

    How can a bomb be powerful enough to blow someone's legs off, yet does nothing to people standing right next to this person? Hollywood, that's how. In a B Movie with poor special effects this would be considered normal. In real life, this cannot happen.

    • @nineeleven9455
      @nineeleven9455 7 лет назад +1

      You are tossing words out like your grandmother’s fruit cake. Slow down and compose yourself. Big Brother has gotten you so emotionally attached to his narratives. Go take a look at the evidence. This event is so glaringly a false flag, it’s disturbing how people have fallen for it hook, line and sinker. Take a look at the mercenary agents that were on duty that day. That’s a good place to start. It was all a set up.

    • @nineeleven9455
      @nineeleven9455 7 лет назад +1

      You have no actual information on this subject so you resort to bar room bravado. I’m not afraid of you here or in person. You are too easy to take off your feet, just with words. If we were back in Germany during WWII I would be one of those who are facing off against the NAZIs and you would be saying the same thing to me then that you are saying here and now. It’s called being a NAZI sympathizer.

    • @michaelcranny6687
      @michaelcranny6687 7 лет назад +1

      First off having a grandmother that survived a camp...fuck you. Secondly you have nothing, the tinfoil theories have been debunked but police, FBI, and eye witness accounts. There were no actors despite what your kind claim. These were real death, real injuries, and real evil at work. The reason I say go and say it (Be sure to film it). Is because decent people won't put up with your crap. They'll become so enraged by your audacity that they'll kick your ass for calling their tragedy fake. Your kind are the ones too easy to knock down. As your only power comes from your "Detective" skills from your computer in your parents basement tinfoil.
