- John Goodman's remarkable career has run more than 30 years and the actor has appeared in more than 70 movies. Goodman stars as Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis in the new movie "Patriots Day," based on the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings and the manhunt for the attackers. Goodman and Davis -- who consulted on the movie -- join "CBS This Morning" to discuss the film.
John Goodman really does look like Ed Davis
I thought Goodman was huge. Ed is more huge!
@jhacksb1399 John is 6’2” so Ed must be 6’4” 280
The Patriots Day Screening will include a caption that says "Although based on true events, the appearances of the actual people except for some are fictional".
Good choice for portraying ed davis
I'm from Boston, and am familiar with Commissioner Davis, have seen him on local TV many times, and the funny thing is that I didn't even recognize the actor playing him as being Goodman. He really made himself look like Davis. He didn't look a thing like when he was "Roseanne's" hubby. Not sure how he changed his appearance so drastically, but he really was believable in the role.
@mthivier Goodman stopped drinking
despite your opinion this movie is real ...the event is real...and the threats are still out there
Jodi Buckman you're the only person in the comments that I like
Thank you Jodi
You are not alone
strange how plenty of people believe Washington had so much vested interest in 2 men to whip up some "conspiracy" to run some "black ops".
The movie is a lie, based on events that were also staged, to make you feel threatened and afraid. Threatened people welcome the blind security of a police state. Wake up.
