Doc Swinson’s Alter Ego Bourbon goes so well with a cigar. It’s basically a cigar blend without the name.
Eagle Rare 10 year old, Kavalan Solist Port Cask, Lagavulin 16 year old, Lot 40 Dark Oak (double barrel where the 2nd barrel has level 4 char), Bladnoch 19, Balblair 17, Glenfarclas 15 or 17 year old, Bowmore 15 or 18 year old, Glenallachie 15 year old, Nikka from the Barrel whisky, Johnnie Walker Black, Old Perth limited edition PX sherry release. All have bold flavors to match a good cigar.
I'm drinking some taylor small batch and smoking a Oliva Series V melanio

I usually drink peated scotches when I am smoking cigars. I also enjoy High West Campfire while puffing away.
I’ll suggest a sherry-finished whiskey like Naked Malt, Isaac Bowman or Angel’s Envy or port-finished like Quinta Ruban. All great with a dark cigar!

It’s a scotch not bourbon but I recently had a Padron 1926 with the Dalmore cigar blend .. might be my fave pairing I’ve done in awhile. Agree rum finished is so good with a cigar cheers 🥃😊💨

I think the Joseph Magnus is the bottle I would like to try above all others.... Maybe someday.... Only have 1 pour left of my Smoke Wagon.... Bummer
I have yet to find the JM cigar blend .
I enjoyed this video and discussion. In my experience, wheated bourbons don't pair well with cigars at all. Cigars make wheaters taste "musty." Just my experience. As far as bourbon goes, regular Buffalo Trace pairs well with cigars but most bourbons seem to get overpowered by them. Most Ryes pair well. Irish and Scotch (Especially peated) hold up well. Cigars; Anything Plasencia, Fuente, Southern Draw, and Tabernacle are my go-tos. Cheers!

Just had Smoke Wagon for the first time, a week or so ago. Loved it. For cigars, any Wild Turkey product. And for mid range cigars - Punch, Macanudo, Sancho Panza, and etc - I like to dip the tip, so to speak. I find anything more than 15 seconds can cause the wrapper to crack. I can tell you what I don't like with cigars is just about any Islay. The "smoke" just isn't compatible for me.
Classic laddie is excellent with sticks but my fave bourbon with cigars is the russels 10 haven’t found a cigar that doesn’t pair well with it
