LOVE Four Roses Single Barrel! Cant rave about that enough. I can't get into Rare Breed no matter howvhard i try (have given away 2 different bottles of it). Really want to try the Peerless.

What about Calumet Farm 16? It's a "shelfer" that goes for just above $150 and brings you back to your grandpa's cabin/shack.

The toughest area is easily the $40 to $60 ... 1920 in north Georgia is over $60, so that's out. On balance, given how really good and consistent they are, I'd go with the average JD Single Barrel, which are usually also store picks.

I’ve been trying to figure out all the hate on this one. I revisited it after catching a lot of flack about saying I liked it. I really put some thought into it this time and I think it’s the little bit of barnyard funk as some people call it, but it’s like the rind on brie cheese, or the taste of blue cheese, mixed with pinenuts and a little oak. It’s definitely a savory whiskey versus a sweet one. It’s not my taste preference all the time but I don’t like blue cheese every day.

Best bottle I bought last year was a new riff single barrel bourbon store pick. Lots of deep dark rich flavors. Finished it off in 5 weeks which is lightning fast for me. Every time I reached, it was always the new riff. Got another one earlier this year. Still good, but no where near as amazing as the last one

I really can’t dispute any on your list up to a $100; above that is beyond my price point. My “daily” bourbon at $25 is Old Forester 100.

Bottom shelf guy here so never spend over $60 unless it's a 4 roses single barrel proof 😂

I struggle with anything over $80.00. Meant to be enjoyed and not break the bank.

My favorites, more for after effects than taste- $21 100 proof Old Grand-Dad, $26 100 proof Early Times blue top, $31 Bernheim Original 90 proof Wheat Whiskey aged 7 years.

I have all the lower tiers and pretty good suggestions. I my self dont have a 150+ bottle yet but have a few I will one day get. Exaple GTS and Purple Top for sure not shelf bottles but ones on list. Cheers 🥃

Hah, you guys tricked me with the prices. For 60-80, I guessed ECBP & you had it in 80-100. It's $70-76 between both states I regularly shop in. For $80-100 I guesses RR SiB & you had it in 60-80. It's $90-100+tax all over the country & pretty much never available. Hopefully I will make it to CO while they still have them.. Surprised 4R BP was not on here, unless it's not available enough, which certainly seems true.

Four gate is pretty allocated. Wouldn’t Calumet 16 been a much better choice? It’s usually only around 150/160, it’s available anywhere, and it is delicious.

There is only one bottle worth more than $100 too me. 4 roses store pics, that’s it…..

I love Maker's Mark. I'm an ambassador. The 2024 Heart Release is a great bottle. I truly enjoy it. It's a must have.

I don't mind it, but for my palate the Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Rye is clearly superior. Maybe I just got a great single barrel? Idk - there's an odd bitterness to it that holds it back for me.

Jeez, i seen it for $55 around me. This is the second channel that paid either 65 or 75. I better run out and grab one b4 price goes up. Bulliet 12yr rye imo wasnt that good. I use it as a mixer. Cheers

Never tried it, was wondering what the big deal was. Something I don't understand, a brother wanted a bottle of Basil Hayden bourbon for his birthday. Mike my little brother just took the bottle and put it away. And we aren't Mexican or Spanish nor are we French. Something strange about it. I'm wondering if it was some type of cult thing. Never again would I partake in so called family function.

I feel like you confuse the I-70 corridor with the rest of Mo. But everyone does, it's ok. South of I-70 is all homogeneous and kinda empty until very recently due to distribution sadly
