Maybe the Payday candy bar ? Cheers...
Our liquor store only had a 1.75L or a 375 ML bottle and grabbed a 375 ML bottle to try and I am glad I did that instead of the big one. It is not bad but the JB black or double oaked is better. I might try mixing it with Ginger Ale or Coke at some point. I would happily spend another $5 or so and get Old Forester 86 or 100 or even Four Roses.
Purchased this for $20.00. I bought a second bottle after finishing the first sooner than planned. It's way easier to drink than I had imagined. This is the first JB product I have ever purchased. For me, It's an enjoyable sipper. How it's described on the bottle is just what you get.
I totally agree I'm 73 and I just love your voice it's as smooth as as an old aged oak barrel Kind and sweet
Yup! Just grabbed one. $20 all day here in Miami.
Bourbon Junkies just dropped a 9 way blind with this Jim Beam Black 7, ouch, Dan literally spit it out. But they aren't Beam fans, LOL.
This stuff is pretty good. Its taste reminds me of Old Grand-Dad, though they're certainly not identical. This is nice and sweet and fruity.
2:57 I think you mean Payday.
3:41 This is definitely a good bottle for someone who's just starting, or for that matter someone who wants to move beyond Jim Beam white label.
What you said here was exactly what I though about it. It's not very complex, but then I wouldn't expect it to be at $24 (what I paid). But, for that price it's an amazing bourbon. This is a great one to use as a mixer but it also drinks pretty easy.
I wish this was only $20 in our market. It's pretty solid regardless and 100% a buy for a bottom shelf banger that punches above its weight. Nice review!
I bought this to see what the hype was all about. Paid $19.99…I love this bourbon!
I may pick one up not sure I don’t mix so as a neat pour a bit low in proof for me. I do like the single barrel at 108 proof and it is very affordable.
It is smooth, but I’ll take a Benchmark at a lower price here in Chicago
Great review I’ll have to keep my eye open for it
Just bought some today. Here in Texas it is $33 for a 1.75L bottle which works out to be just over $14 for a 750ml size. Can't beat that bargain for an easy sipper!
PayDay bars good review thinking about picking up another bottle
Bout 35$ up here in WA
WA $'s suck, well it's the f*cking liquor and sales tax that sucks.
@@andrettski8686Yup, that's strange. There is another state behind the iron curtain & there is no sales tax on pkg liquor & the excise tax is in the lower half (~$8.10/gal of alcohol).
For sure great mixer, but use 4 oz for an Old Fashioned and 2 oz for a whiskey sour...from my experiments
Still not in Oregon, my question is can it even come close to KC 9? I pay $28 for it.
No
Comparable in quality. The winner depends on your personal taste preferences.
@@kuroneko9710 Well, I do like most everything Beam, so I got that goin' for me. 😆
It was called a Payday candy bar.... I enjoy it as a sipper. I like Rittenhouse for a mixer..
I thought it was a great low-priced bottle. With the prices like they are, this is a nice reprieve. Great warm-up pour before hitting the high-proof, complex stuff.
Best 1.75 bottle I've bought in years
Today is 5/25/24. The sticker price on Jim Beam 7 is $51+ NOT $20 mentioned here!! WTF???
Old Tub is on sale for $10 near me. Bib and half the cost what Jim Beam 7 is which is $21 for me.
Hell I might take this over michter’s, smoke wagon, and jb Roland tbh
Was the black shirt a thematic choice or coincidental?
For that price yes i will buy.
If you love the Beam line, BUY THIS BOURBON. A lighter Bookers but lower proof but at 1/3 the price! It will not disappoint !
Yep Payday bar
Salted Nut Roll In a bottle
It’s definitely a bargain bourbon buy!!!
Payday candy bar
1783 is the best starter bourbon!
If new riff was Bret hart…than jb 7 black is Owen hart…this is my new daily sipper…sorry early times, makers, weller green, n buff trace
100% her review would have changed if she saw the Bourbon Junkies video first.
I still haven’t watched it. But this is our channel and we form our own opinions on whiskey. We have our own personal palates, which aren’t identical to anyone. We would not change our opinion just because someone else liked or didn’t like something. Cheers.
@@TheAverageDrinker agreed. The Junkies commented on everyone else liking it so I'm sure they knew what it was and hated for that reason. Looking forward to trying it.
This bourbon tells more about most reviewers than they can tell about it.
Have a question that everyone refuses to answer about Jim Beam stuff, even if they admit they do not like JB White;
As you may know, many bourbon fans think JB White is a bad tasting product, including me. Also, do not like JB Double Oak (besides nose) & it was even worse with cola.
Products I DO really like are; WT 101, OGD Bonded & 114, EW line, Knob Creek line, Old Forester line (esp the rye), VOB 100, Elijah Craig rye & bourbon.
So, for people with the above taste preference, is there any chance that they will like this new JB Black 7yr???
Do enjoy Beam products, but so far nothing from the "Jim Beam" label.
