Wow this was so cool! It makes me really happy and flattered that you found some inspiration from my sheets ❤ I really love the way you've built it up - especially with that demographics tab!!! That was epic ⭐ Thank you for showing how to do it too - I'm mostly familiar with the vlookup functions but not much else. Actually one of the things I like the most about having a sheet is that you're able to keep track of the degrees, as you pointed out too. It's driven me nuts in the past because it's not saved anywhere in game what major a sim had 😂 Loved seeing this and the way you're bringing in Downtown into it as well. I had a proper look at the layout for the first time starting to film my 100 bc and realized what a cool map it is 🤯 It reallt has a lot of space and interesting sections. Such as that loop you're working with, but also down by the water, there's this dip where I think you should be able to put in beach lots 🤔 Anyway, loved the video and your sheet 🥰 And congratulations on soon reaching your 1 year anniversary. I was the "Excel person" at a previous job so picked up all kinds of random bits of know how 😂 It's so annoying to lose track of degrees! Especially as I almost exclusively let them choose their own, I want to know what they originally planned compared to how their lives turned out... Downtown is so cool! I love sending my sims to visit the lots, and the Downtown events are SO GOOD for unexpected drama, but I never saw how many cool little houses there are 😍 I built a council building already for social aid, but a beach bar would be so fun! ♥

a venn diagram of spreadsheet nerds and simmers is just a circle i love your videos sm!! ur so down to earth and im also getting back into the sims 2 since i played it as a kid. haven rock is such a cool idea and it makes me wanna do something similar!! love the gay bar/club idea too id love to see a speedbuild/tour of that!! its nice to see some representation in ts2 community :)) luv the videos
Sims and spreadsheets, you're a woman after my own heart! 185 sims in Pleasantview alone is pretty impressive! I think I have roughly 250ish in my uberhood right now, I just roughly track by hand. Congratulations on your wedding as well!
That's so impressive! Uberhoods are great, I wish I'd started that way... though I have a strange urge to add Strangetown, those sims are too iconic to never play 😅
Oh my god you've changed my LIFE, my Pleasantview is about 100 years old too, and the whole time I've stuck to rigidly playing in the rotation order from the Prima Guide (any new households just get added on the end!), I cannot BELIEVE I've never thought of just playing them in whatever order I feel like! I've struggled with it sometimes where because it's been going on for so long now, I end up with households grouped together in very similar stages of life (like a uni cohort graduates and all get tacked on the end one after the other), and I was going to try to solve it by just reshuffling the order, but this is WAY better, thank you!!!
I'm so glad I could help! I never even knew about the Prima Guide, I would always just play my favourites first and work around to my least favourite 😅 But I almost never played a full round in one go, I like checking in with other households in case I need to make some other choices in the first house!

Wow, that is a huge amount of sims and your spreadsheet is so long 🥳 with so many sims it makes so much sence. i have 71 sims livng in my bacc neighbourhood, and this round is growing so fast. i did some math, to reach the goal of 50.000 in population i need a minimum of 345 sims, so that will be a journey 😝
Ohh, the countif function is such a good idea for the demographics, I'll have to see if there are some spots on my spreadsheet I could use that... And you definitely didn't bore me to death talking spreadsheet haha. You could always have a column just for "rotation" which has like the day of the week / season or something for when you hop around, could be a cool idea. Also YES, Downtown is actually really cool!! Yes, I will! I mostly got overwhelmed by the rules, was too keen to start so threw together what I could understand and picked up other bits along the way! I've got most of the rules in my spreadsheet now, so I'll make sure to go into detail ♥

I've just got to me second summer so starting round 6 on my new Pleasantview save. I may end up needing something like this too, coz oh lord do the family's spread out and intermarry quick. Gunna see how long I can go before I need to either A) restart because it's completely overwhelming or B)actually sit down and do a spreadsheet to keep track of everything. Side note: If you are still doing your videos on how far each family has come, I'd be really interested to see both the Burb and that family you mentioned adding for genetic diversity, I'm not even gunna try and spell it but it started with P. Also just curious, you have downtown have you had sims marry any of the Tricous or come close to becoming vampires?
The Burbs are a great shout, I will definitely do them next! Pleasantview can get overwhelming quickly, I don't think I new restarting was an option, and by the time I knew you could restart the hoods I was in WAY too deep to want to lose any of them 😅 When I got my new computer the first thing I did was figure out how to bring my save across. I was always worried about the Tricous because I didn't understand them, but now that I know more it could be a really good idea to bring them in! I do think I managed to marry one of the many random kids into the Broke family, her name was Rose Jeffress but she's definitely one of the Tricou brood
@@Katie_Catastrophe To be fair... I only restarted coz it had been FOREVER since I booted up the sims 2 and coz I hadn't been keeping track, I had no idea who a lot of sims were and what had happened to a lot of the OGs. I'm not very good at screenshots so documenting is hard

It's actually really useful in remembering who is related to who when you have sims like Don having kids that all have different surnames and there is the post uni baby boom.
