That was quite hard to watch my pride and joy being disassembled 😊 Another great job by the Juice team. Sam and Leon genuinely care about doing a great job and go above and beyond every time. These fiddly jobs are never straight forward but you know you are in safe hands. Thanks again guys. 👏👏
Lovely to see another Keswick Green 110. I have one virtually the same (2008) but in a sub county spec (front window winders / no central locking…ugh!!). And i have the same washer problem!!
This channel should have at least half a million subscribers. The editing of these videos is very well done and the content is very informative. Keep up the great work.
I'm sure you only made this video to show as soon as my wipers go I'm fooked and have to go to a garage. As there is no way I'm doing this on the drive. Very good video tho 👌 👏 👍 🙌
Exactly the kind of job that I would have started and then thought, bugger, why did I open that can of worms! You guys make the biggest of ball ache jobs look almost simple! Great work as always.
About to start this job tomorrow and without watching this video would have been in a spot of bother I reckon! Feeling much more confident so thank you!
Great video, wish you had done it last year. My wipers failed while on holiday last August, the nut came off the motor which attached the cable to it, got it fixed with a ratchet screw driver, bit set and a gerber still works a treat now 😂 As you said dash is a daunting task but actually quite easy to remove Keep up the good work 👍
Perfect. My wiper motor caught fire a few weeks back half way to Bavaria (stripped it out two weeks ago and the motor had burnt out). Good to see how you do this.
quanto siete bravi !!!! conosci il defender in ogni sua parte . sto vedendo tutti ituoi video , ogni lavoro che fai ci metti passione e professionalita' . WOW BRAVISSIMO " J U I C E "
This is a really good video. Great that you can get so much out of a (simple) wiper repair and make a great "how-to" video out of it. Once again a great job that you have done.
Remove the wiper arms and Pull the spindle rubber back occasionally and wd40 the spindles whilst there turning then pack the rubber with aqueous grease and refit. I do this as a service task on customers cars, works a treat.
This is a great video! Would love to see one of adding a HVAC kit to a Defender. Our 1987 90 doesn't have one and living in the high desert we have cold winters and warm summers. It's definitely on the list of projects and would be curious to see it along with any kits you recommend for upgrading a Defender with.
At the beginning when you said taking the dash apart isn’t too diff to do I thought…yeah sounds ok, I’m ready for this. Then, seeing it all come apart I reckon I would panic like a turkey at Xmas!! Agree on the Coronation St theme tune…dreadful! Great vids guys…you make it look so easy 😂
Blimey if mine goes it’s straight down to you - which I need to get booked in for some other bits, oh and still waiting for the merch to become available 👍🏼
Thanks! Exactly the problem our 110 has along with the return switch. Pity the whole dash has to come off. Do you know what size rims and tires that 110 has? Looking for something similar. Keep up the great videos!
It's Defender 110 2016. This is Korea, but it is a very poor environment to maintain and upgrade the Defender. It's expensive to maintain and it's hard to buy accessories Is there any video of changing the right transportation seat to the left? If you have a roll cage construction video, please let me know. I'm an avid subscriber. I'm always rooting for you
Hi there from the US, What would a job like that cost in the UK. For example, what would that job cost a customer there. The removal of the dash, the removal of the wier components, rebuild and re install of the system and the dash, without the wiring repair portion.. Thank you!!
A great “how to” video that I wish had been available last year when I did mine. I also replaced the motor as a precautionary action. One minor thing niggles me though. The wipers doesn’t work on high speed. They simply stop wherever they are in the motion when I put the switch in high. Any advise on that ?
I cannot believe the design of the dash that makes it such a mission just to access the wiper system. That is just one example of the other deeply frustrating designs you find elsewhere on a Puma. Oh goodness me, no wonder the labour charges are so 'out of this world'.
As an engineer I am always asking the question, why do manufacturers never consider maintenance and replacement when designing and building cars. That is the most excruciating video I’ve ever seen. No criticism of you guys at Juice Motors, great video. Have you ever thought of cutting the two recessed ex vent panels out and accessing the motors from the outside and making new panels with seals and screws for future. Could the replacement be achieved from the outside??
I did this same job on my ‘93 defender 110, only to realize after pulling out the wiper motor that it was just a blown fuse! Start with simple first… anyway, my wipers don’t make a full cycle, but rather stop just short before returning to park. It’s still adequate, but rather have them go all the way across for better driver visibility. Any ideas why?
Guys, take apart the torpedo to replace the windshield wiper cable. You are heroes, not every firm will do this. It must have been a whole day at work! Well done boys. It’s a pity that I don’t live in Britain, I would bring you borscht with dumplings! )))
From experience , if you're doing this job use the genuine parts spindles , the aftermarket one's just aren't as good and the genuine one's aren't that daft a price.
Wow you just put me off such a job. I would have been convinced i could do that….. taking the dash board off is a little bit more than attacking it with a 13mm spanner. Why do they make it so much more complicated. Might stick to a series I
Oh my days! I thought my 300 Tdi dash was a nightmare to remove, when I replaced my wiper boxes and cable. Note to self - never buy a Defender with a Puma dash in it
What an absolutely bad design from a maintenance point of view, only Landrover could dream that up. It seams the more we advance in design, the more complex designers make things.. If works DO NOT FIX IT. The cost of this simple repair is astronomical with labour charges stripping the whole dash assembly out. Complete madness. 🤬🤬 Excellent tutorial on how to fix this repair 👍🏼

i never knew you could change the sprayer nozzle without pulling out the dash! This is bloody brilliant! thanks heaps!
Great video, wish you had done it last year.

An absolutely fantastic video fellas.
Thank you from Tasmania.
Brilliant job guys but what was the customer charged for what looks a simple job but was very complex
That's A LOT of work. I think I'd drive it without the wiper working before I took on that project. Good job guys!

Just what I needed! Getting ready for the Puma dash install in my ‘85 Ninety SW. Thanks!
Great Chanel guys, I don’t own a defender yet but seriously looking at trying to find a old one as a project.
Great video, I had the same problem with my landy, this vid enabled me to replace the faulty spindle, many thanks

Very informative!! Another class one Sam and Leon!!!

Hi I'm probably being thick here but what do you mean by aqueous grease thanks
@@theimbiber it's a grease used in water vulnerable areas, most motor factors sell it
Love the puppies! Oh and the work on the 110 was pretty good too!
how much does it cost including parts to have the wiper system replaced.

Please do more bids like these !!! Love it 😍
Great video. How long time was the actual replacement. Hard to guess in timelapse mode:-)
Class guys, really enjoyed it
How many hours did you spend on the job? I'm always wondering why the designers don't think about the repair time and costs.
I was wondering the same!
Blimey if mine goes it’s straight down to you - which I need to get booked in for some other bits, oh and still waiting for the merch to become available 👍🏼

Great vid and very helpful, thank you, I'm doing just this job now, can anyone recommend a good supplier of the parts needed please?
Hey Sam , will you and your team be at billing show this year ?
Yes! Absolutely! Make sure you come to say hi!!

keep up the good work guys. now heres a question for ya can i ask whats happening with old red?are we gettig anytime soon?

Great job gentleman.

Will you be doing any Rover V8s in any of your defenders?
nice job! apologies completely of subject but what is the radio in this 110 ? I'm looking at getting a flip screen for my td5 dash.... :)
You don't have one left hand drive for sale cheap I like this 👌 😀 👍 😄 😉 congrats 👏
“Handy tip, test the mechanism works before you put the dash back.”
“We didn’t test it before we put the dash back.”
😂😂😂
I hope soon juice motors team make one defender 3.9 v8 build 😁
What type of Bosch wipers are you using? I'm looking for a good upgrade for my 300tdi but not sure if the wiper arms are the same as the puma arms?
I can only imagine the Labor cost involved here.
How many hours Labour would you book for that for the two of you?
That’s an amazing color on that Defender! Is that a Land Rover color from the factory? Or custom?
Cheers
I think it is Keswick Green, a Land Rover colour.
@@sheldonvictor412 Google says you nailed it. Thanks for sharing!
Wow so much easier pre-puma
Great video!
Test the wipers before tightening! A case of do as I say, not as I do and I thought you just forgot to film it!!
Any videos of old red coming please
Need a puppy introduction!
Why would anyone design something that takes 2 blokes most of a day to do this? Only land-rover...wonder if the ineos grenadier will be any better?
Done my twice on a td5 defender 18 years old now
When you were putting the dash back in, the air vents were exactly where the headlights would have been on the defender visible through the windscreen
what media player it's in the dashboard?
What would this cost to do!
So that's what £380 worth of Labour looks like .... LOL.top content 😎❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What’s happening with ur red 90 the big build
So much time & effort just to fix a wiper! 😀

The snorkel tube is the wrong way round, the bend should be at the top.
Thanks! I hadn’t even noticed that. Changed it round at the weekend, looks so
Much better! 😊

Lovely !,
Holy cow! I would have just bought RainX and have left it alone. Haha.
It’s a lot easier on a 300 TDi and I fitted HD units from EDDL - Quality kit !
A lof work for changing a spindle.
I would love a job here
Haven't heard the Coro theme tune since ma Gran was alive, 20 years ago. Definitely a depressing one, unlike the Eastenders Banger.
Flamin’ ell that is a tune 🔥
If mine goes I think ur doin it🙏
🤩
Oh my days! I thought my 300 Tdi dash was a nightmare to remove, when I replaced my wiper boxes and cable.
Note to self - never buy a Defender with a Puma dash in it
Same old system as the pre-BMW mini's. Great unless you had rain and wanted to go any faster than 45mph..🙄
Also used on the TVR’s, believe it or not 😱

Thought it was a PITA doing it on a TD5, this looks much worse!
looks a nightmare job to get into it
