I just wanted to take a moment to say I really enjoyed this and I look forward to your videos. Helps me feel connected to places I can't always visit. You really get the flavour of places.
Ah, there you are ! Haza! Glad you're back posting and doing what you do so well for our benefits and delights. Especially here amid this frigid frozen tundra of a February Michigan morning.😁 Thank you MLB and team for another enjoyable informative Peripatetic Art Galleries Adventure.
The sort of 'diary of a visit' aspect integrated with the art was especially enjoyable here. I think that was a Claire Woods cloudscape I saw and I'm responding strongly to her work since you introduced me to it in your videos. A big early treat for 2023.
Oh wow, I loved all your recommendations for restaurants and such- and am a little embarrassed at never having heard of Death of the Author, since it sounds like it says a lot of things I already believe 😅anyway, thank you!
Hi, I also love Sofies work and I think She fits your sensibilities, feel, taste, etc. My eye saw Her piece as the strongest in the video. Congratulations Sofie !! Thank you !
your extended walk around diary is a good idea...adds value...you are so darn cute when you look back at the camera...where you were in London, such darn clean streets. Altmejd something definitely in the art water the last year or so, VERY Francis Bacon...Altmejd, Jenny Saville too...LOVED 4:10, 6:32...Uzoma very cinematic indeed. Fav was Uzoma: the color, collage, words. Silk screened? Jose Lerma. Yes. I've seen his work. Not sure where he can progress from here. Getting schticky. Do like the high collar shawl coat. And how he treated the ear. Lucky you. Kudos. How about that new tube/subway system? Can you talk about materials. Altmejd...what was used...clay? Polymer? 6:32...how and what materials?
I really appreciate this channel, I live in southern England and maybe would not go to the same exhibitions as Mary but what is brilliant is seeing these works through a different perspective, different eyes! Also seeing London differently; for example, White City, which, despite the beeb being there, was quite a rough area. Thank you 💗
I just discovered your channel, these are really lovely to follow along. To echo other comments, its really nice to be able to be invited into spaces that I would otherwise never have had the chance to visit (also makes the workday go by faster! - I work as a commercial illustrator for my day job and always look for visual inspiration)
I just had the idea that , if it won't be too difficult technically , you could show the name of the artist at the bottom of the screen the whole time , perhaps in a thin fond so the viewer can reference and remember the name .... what do you think ?
just a note hopefully you find helpful and useful, if there is any way to address the 'sibilance' in your audio mixing/editing it would go a long way. the sharpness of the 'S' sounds in the narration make it almost unlistenable especially with headphones. thx, love the channel.
When can we finally see real art again? I am so bored and annoyed by this banal, superficial and decorative art. It's time to show real, interesting art again, where you don't need supervised interpretations to see some nonsense. I would like to see original works by Helnwein, Odd Nerdrum, Anton Hoeger and some contemporary Spanish painters.
Thank you for your amazing videos Cheers.
As always a pleasure to wander the art world with you, looking to the next one.

Like hearing a angel talking about art. 😊
You are easy to look at and a delight to listen to.
Thanks for your videos.
Fabulous vlog and so helpful in planning my upcoming trip to London. Added several of your recos to my itinerary. Thanks!!!!

Very well use of the orange color on the tree landscapes.

A big early treat for 2023.
Her work is wonderful
Lovely video , I saw so much and it has given me ideas..
There's some cool pieces. Would have like to see the abstract paintings more closely. Good times. Have fun.
Thanks for sharing !! This will help me for my next visit to London !!!
You are very fortunate to see all these wonderful exhibitions. Thank you for sharing them.
Unusual and unexpected ways of expressing oneself! Most impressive exhibitions. Thank you!

Wow so beautiful. ❣️
I love to see not only your gallery hopping but also a cafe, restaurant and shops in London, and so on
.
Gracias Mary,
Great video as always. Thanks for the Roland Barthes reference. I must read The Death of the Author. Safe journey home

Thanks for sharing Mary! Hope you also get to go to the ticketed exhibitions at the Tate.
The current exhibits are great.
Jazz bg music make watching addictive
Super video.
Gracias ✨
thank you !
So nice 👍
Super ❤️❤️❤️
The other Sadie Coles space has a beautiful second fl. space.
How much was the shepherd's pie 🥧?
These swanky galleries are where my paintings would look really good 😃
Jose Lerma great.
The rabbits remind me of Donnie Darko
Agree
Indeed w Ray Johnson, Terrence Koh (my initial thoughts)
👏👏👏👏
Sadie Coles HQ feels like homey

Not hard at all! Thanks for the suggestion
Love Ya. Best Wishes
The Tate Modern, as with most London museums, is free admission. Only entry to temporary exhibitions is charged.
Nice

I wish I have my own art gallery here in Jamaica.
🙂❤🙂
May I recommend a movie for the occasion? Try “Notting Hill” (©️1999 Hugh Grant & Julia Roberts) 🍿 You may also consider a pilgrimage to Kensington Muse for a Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud vibe
I love this channel but there really is very little great art in the world.
Amazing, can you take me with you one day

Wow so underwhelming and pretentious. The Art world lacks serious talent. What has happened?
Thank you for the video. We can see how poor the art shows in London are. Really disappointing.
Who is 'we'?
There’s some great stuff on at the moment, in my not humble opinion. I went last week
It depends which venues you visit. Every gallery is different, depending on the tastes of the curator.
@@dansmith4984 Well, we would be happy to see your choice.

could there be a possibly less smug presenter?
