Le Marais is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris, and home to some of the best art galleries. In this video we’ll explore some of my favorite spaces as well as some of my favorite restaurants that I always have to go to when I’m in town.
Details about everything mentioned can be found below, as well as a link to a video documenting the first part of my trip…

Beautiful evening ❤
🥰🥰🥰
hmmm..that was extremely enjoyable...thank you...
Viva la MLB and bon soi, just gorge! Civilized.
Wow! Really loved the Bauhaus portraiture; color palate and subtle cubist rendering of facial planes. Thanks for sharing! *Liked & Subscribed*
The reason why I see all these videos so carefully and I also pause long time, is because Im an artist myself and I love to steal ideas from other artists and make them better. Thank you for upload and I preciate so much. 🎉
Honest.
Always so interesting and valuable ,each videos ❤❤❤❤
One of your best videos ever - thoroughly enjoyed it.
So glad you did!
Frame that dessert menu !!!!!! TOO COOL !!
Thanks for showing Mama Anderson. Love her and follow her exhibits in NYC. You’re the best.
Perrotin, Thaddeus Ropac, and David Zwirner. Cool.. Stems Gallery and Skarstedt r also worth visiting.
Yes Yes yes! Thank you form, San Francisco.
Thank you Mary Lynn for the films you make and the explanations you give about the art works in the galleries. You opened a new window to the world of art for us, which is very valuable. thank you again
Chen Ke....sooooo enfluenced by Tamara de Lempica 🎈
Thank you for sharing
Great video as always Thank you
thank you so much. xxx
Thank you for an interesting and stylish walk... PS... You're great. I always enjoy watching your stories.
Thank you for explaining the art so well. I appreciate your insights and expertise once again.
Thank you Mary for this your beautiful walk through Paris and its most prominent galleries
Paris l Amour l art et la joie de vivre
Beautifully filmed, edited and narrated! The power of the first artists’ work hit me the most. Thanks for sharing your gallery tours. Cheers-Greg
So glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏼
Some ladies have that yo no se que!!! she is one of them to my eyes!!!
I smiled at Chen Ke's B3 chair by Bauhaus student Erich Consemüller. Also, Laurent Grasso's work reminded me of the famous Leunig cartoon of a person watching a sunrise on TV while ignoring that out the window was the real sunrise.
Beautiful video
some really impressive painting shows here. Particularly love the bauhaus gals reimagined. As always many thanks for taking the time to film these exhibitions
I think the rain the shiny streets the lights are beautifully atmospheric.
thank you for sharing
Great video as always, love the work of Mamma Andersson. Can't wait for the next video!
It's nice 🌷🙏
Thank you for sharing these videos. As a person who used to live in Paris and an art lover, I definitely enjoyed your art gallery visits and walk around the city.
Nice 🙏🍀❤️🍁🍂
Thanks, as always, for posting. I really liked Chen Ke's works and Lisa Brice was interesting, both of whom I've never seen before. And the food made me hungry, so I'm heading for dinner, unfortunately not to those restaurants you stopped at.
Inspiring video and Chen Ke's paintings were absolutely stunning.
People forget (or, don't know) that Paris does get rainy and gloomy...which is why If/when I do visit France, it'll be the South of France - where the sunny, cheery climate is very much like the climate in the California city where I live (Santa Barbara...with L.A. a stone's throw away: only occasionally rainy and gloomy) 🙂
Of course, our cities have art for whatever climates we're dealing with (one of art's main roles in our lives).
Great filmed and introduction. Enjoying this gallery tour. Thanks!
Bravoooooo
I loved this. My favorite artists were Chen Ke and Lisa Brice. The dining experiences looked absolutely divine, and Paris by night was simply stunning! 🧚♀
I like the first sculptor, not a fan of the later paintings, thanks for showing us around the restaurants look amazing!
Bravo Mary , spot on concerning the art and the choice of restaurants . L'Entrecote ( real one ) in Saint Germain des Près. Allez bonne route, et qui sait?
Love to watch your videos. I'll be back in Paris at the end of this month, so these are such a great recommendation and tips to do. Hope to see you back in CDMX soon.
I think the work of art in this video is you 🌹
I love the orchid island,, your leather pants are super cute
Thank you 😊
Always a pleasure to watch Your videos and an inspiration for own trips; I just visited the Vielmetter complex in LA because of Your video some time ago
Amazing! I hope you enjoyed it
Good
Don’t forget to pass by our beautiful gallery space in Le Marais (Bigaignon at 18 rue du Bourg-Tibourg… we took over Galerie Nathalie Obadia’s space a few years ago)… and come and say if you go to Paris Photo (booth E8) 😊
Of course in the movie Midnight in Paris the city was at its best in the rain ☔. Hopefully one day you get to Martha Texas for some good old minalism. You are a great tour guide. 😊
Hopefully one day! It’s on my list
Interesting survey. Yep, it's rainy and overcast in the Ile de France. Pretty typical weather if one spends much time there.I liked the first sculptor, Chen Ke and Lisa Brice. Painters a bit on the lightweight side but engaging nonetheless. My favs were the building and empty auditorium by Chen, and Brices Bar au Folies Bergere for the obvious reasons lol. Oh, I thought that was you a couple of weeks ago walking east on Bleecker rocking your chic black leather pants! The goat salad looks yum and the steak frites amazing. The steak with roquefort sauce is a classic as well. Chocolate, can't go wrong. The Charlotte framboise is pretty incredible as well. I dunno maybe you'd be up to just do a Paris food vid !?..........Bien, allez!
Obviously you cut that last gallery too short cause you had that restaurant on your mind. Shameful ;)
What a great trip
Thanks for that great tour of the galleries and of Paris .
bom dia . A arte contemporânea é realmente magnífica .
I am inviting you and your viewers to Jamaica to see an art exhibition at the National Gallery of Jamaica. I will be in it.
Chen Ke fresh and interesting use of lines, color and lighting. Your favorite piece with the mask reminds me of a Vogue shoot that never got published because the models were wearing this masks that seemed very dark although the backdrop of the photos were very beautiful. Sort of that beautiful meets scary.
void makes manets painting look amazing.Look at Maurice Dennis painting see what it evokes.
Your videos are truly amazing and I like your narration. ❤ Apart from art exhibition walkthroughs, do you collect art too?
There is no doubt about why artists love Paris
Hi! Really like your videos ❤ tell me, do you ask for permission to film in the galleries?
The haughty blonde woman making each scene about her, and rightfully so because she is beautiful is the best part. Its nice to know that someone is living their best main character life, each now moments with some weird or terrible art behind her amplifying her glory. She would look like Chardin's turnip peeler compared to Marie De Medici though, i hope she has rococo art in her bedroom at least!
i grew up in marfa texas.
I feel like the VR pieces misunderstands video games and the interactions of humans within them.
París Pærisssss

So much in this hit the mark !!! Thanks
@@photosadhu 🙏
How are you able to travel around and visit galleries so much. Are you wealthy with lots of free time. Does the income from the youtube channel cover the cost? I would really like to know.
The income I make from RUclips and instagram is about 2.5% of my income. I studied engineering and have a job working in tech. I use my vacation time (which I’m fortunate to have) to take these trips
Ah a crumb of Tiepolo! It must actually be hard being a woman in the fine art, well, contemporary art world since it is mostly women now, i cant imagine the fights that must go on behind the scenes as the fight for dominance is fought in fine gowns and over goat cheese, and how many goat cheese salads have you really had?
Il commento va fatto in francese, non in inglese, siamo nel Marais !
Эти помои нельзя называть словом "искусство ".
Это деградация.
EVEN better..get a croissant and watch some water flowing or some nuages passing ... you gain more from life then this :)
I like your video style, it reminded me of Last Year in Marienbad (1961) - Alain Resnais; a bourgeois in search of easy exaltation of the senses, visual and taste. You are not looking for an intellectual one because this modern art is meaningless.
Thankyou for sharing. I don't get the last artist. The Manet bar painting is a satire of the work? Looks sexists to me. Why doesnt she just turn the table and paint nude men from the female gaze? Or is that too easy? Perhaps women are not interested in men that way, but i find that hard to believe.
Mary, enter Islam and success
All this babbling is so cliché about Paris... but thanks for visiting the galleries.
skip the "art"... go eat something :))))
Besides the classical artwork where in Paris you find the best of all the time you do have many gallery and Museum where the modern art and contemporary art Is at the top. Nowhere else in the world this choise this level and masters exibition. Perrottin Is really unbelivable for the collection we have here. Magic and unique not the common or the Seen already BUt masterpiecies of the modern. Paris and perrottin 10 plus for idea and quality. Magic art
Exquisite voice
