    Just started Barber school this year, and our kit came with the 6” and the 7” and the standard thinning shears . They actually work great! And I’m set with at least 3 pair for life.

    Been using the 6 inch swivels for a while and I love them. I do wish theyd come out with a double swivel though!

    congratz on the "ambassador" position... & we definitely need more focus on quality shears, as well as "shear work" here on u tube... i love clippers & trimmers like everybody else, but honestly i do 70% of shear work during my work day, & im a bit of a "shear nerd" so im very interested... god bless & thanx dude (& to respond to ur question, i mostly like shorter shears, like 5")

    I got these after seeing your review, I got the Matsu 7.15" I loved them. I went to swap em but shipping to Canada $40+ the cost of the shear , I think I'd just order a new pair rather than do the swap

    I’ve had 2pairs from them for abt 1 yr. Totally forgot abt to exchange program! Thx bc apparently not a lot of companies sharpen curved shears

    I use Olivia garden shears and they have the same concept lifetime guarantee when you want new shears its I think $30 I built the set of shears and thinning shears and they are like $120 I like them but thanks for the info on these shears gona tell my Co barber about them

    This is probably a stupid question but in between the time it takes for you to send the shear back and receive a new pair then what are you supposed to do? Use a dull shear or a different pair until your new pair arrives?

      No they send the new one first and then you send the old one back

    My wife and I run a salon and have bought name brand scissors from china for pennies compared to the retail prices.
    We even went to the factory in china.
    Same metal, same everything, no brand stamped into it. You can get 100 brand new pairs for the price of 1.
    We were throwing them away and now sell them used.

    What is the difference between the koa 40 thinning shears and the kama slice 21 thinning shears?

      The number of teeth and the kama is only sharp on the teeth side.

    Shark Fin.
    Period.
    There are more expensive options but I have yet to see a difference in material/quality

    The material of the metal isnt whats important. What is important is the ergonomics and the improved technology of the screw. Mizutani is expensive hands down but i would never use any other scissor at this point. I have used $50 scissors for 2 years earlier in my career and once i saved my wrists and hands from those terrible things i never looked back. Mizutani is king.

      I agree ergonomics are important. I haven’t had any issues after 8 years of cutting but I know it can happen. Still no way I’m paying $1000 for scissors

    hey brother seemed nice at the start but your pretty much dropping 400 BUCKS CAD for 2 shears and on top of that ur paying an extra $126 CAD every single year. So really ur dropping for one shear about $210 for 1 shear per year including shipping. not really a good offer. I was so close to buying until I saw all these hidden costs. very dissatisfied.

      Not really hidden costs just sounds like unfortunately not a good deal I’m Canada. I have a friend there and everything is more expensive including shipping. He says all the time he needs to move to the states. Can’t get anything there and it’s always stupid expensive
