What's interesting is people have no concept of what we pay for tools. You should ask about other items as well. I blow their minds when I say the combs I use are almost $15 each.
customers are only on the chair 30-45 mins. They dont see what goes on for the rest of the day. To them we barber just cut hair lol.

I agree that 6.2 length works pretty great! I have a pair of their Sword type in that length, and they’re my best all rounders. I can do wet, dry, or scissors over comb, all with one pair. No need to swap constantly unless I’m texturing! 😍

the customers sitting in our chairs day to day have NO IDEAL what quality tools cost ...ive actually had to stop someone once from reaching for a pair of my shears to open their kids candy wrapper! ...if they knew how much they cost they wouldnt reach for something that A-doesnt belong to them & B-is gonna make the cost of this particular haircut go up by several hundreds of dollars

It's all about Hikari, Hikari are big boy shears! Mizutani are middle of the road compared to Hikari

Try to make it yourself or find anyone who can make it exactly the same procedure,quality,material,design,craftsmanship,precision and cutting performance as that shear then,Let see how “cheap” you can do…don’t forget to add labor cost of that long hard and precise work too.

I've have 7 pair of hanzos, they are absolutely the top I've also used mizutanis and bmacs they are the top companies in the business. I prefer hanzos for their services and plans. #hanzonation
