The most I’ve paid for shears was $50 and they were garbage. If any beginners need an even cheaper option, on amazon I found a 6.5 inch shear from a brand called equinox. They are by far the best shears I’ve used might not be as good as these but if you’re really just starting not bad. Just giving an even cheaper option in case anyone needs it. Amen dude! I’m starting barbering school and in needs of shears. I was actually looking at the equinox shears on Amazon so that’s pretty funny cause these Fresh shears are way out of my budget unfortunately. The equinox shears right now are running for $31.
I think Kamisori or Kasho should be a good choice, when you can't get Hikari, Mizutani or Naruto. Hattori Hanzo, i don't know kinda gimmicky. But i guess they are an alright shears, but for the price better go for Hikari, Mizutani or Naruto.

That initial opening and then dropping and not closing all the way perfect. I've seen these things and they open and close cutting hair like it's not even there they are disgustingly good.

Probably 6” or 6.5”. Anything smaller is good for cutting over finger, but not shear over comb. Anything bigger will work for shear over comb but be pretty big to use over finger. 6” if I had to pick one

Everything I buy breaks. Unreal even gamma failed me sent them back 5 different times.
Hate to hear it. I must just not cut enough hair in my couple days at the shop. Most of my stuff lasts. Hardly ever have issues with anything
9:03 when you are cutting the first section bang area do you comb the hair straight up or a little forward ?
Depends on how I’m styling it. If it’s styled up I comb it up so it’s longer In the front.
