Extended musicless version is now out as per some request: ruclips.net/video/DV-iSwDfKLY/видео.html It's 9 hours long so it should be more than enough for sleep purposes (if it isn't then I feel sorry for you). No visuals, don't feel like recording and editing that many hours of footage sorry If I make more of these expect extended edits to be available from the get-go. Yes I'm aware candles aren't crackly, however very small fire sounds are kinda hard to come by (or maybe I just didn't look hard enough idk - most of this was made out of boredom over the span of a weekend and I didn't expect this big of an initial reaction lol) - this sentiment has been moved here for visibility
@ashoka7273 There are times where it feels a lot like one, and others where it doesn't at all. This game can go from comforting to feeling like something is hiding and you might encounter it. I'm not explaining really well, honestly, and the best way to understand is by playing it. It's one of the most unique games I've ever played, and this is one of the reasons.
@@Rickoto I think I get what you mean! So it's more like... psychological horror? Then maybe I'll be alright playing it. As long as there isn't graphic stuff or moments that are supposed to scare you, like minor jump scares.
@@ashoka7273 It's honestly up to you to decide if it's too graphic or not, but I think it'd be fine, really, the most graphic things are gonna be is just a lot of red pixels. I don't remember any jumpscares playing throughought. I won't spoil you too much because I honestly don't know how much you know, and this game is all about experience, and you can just quit the game if it's too scary. Have fun trying it out if you do !
@ashoka7273 I think you'd be fine playing it, honestly. It doesn't get too graphic, and you can just leave the game if it's too much. I don't remember a single jumpscare, and I don't think it's deliberately trying to scare the player. Have fun trying it out if you do !
really loved this! great choices loved the electric buzzing for lamp world and the droning noises and splashes for sewers. i'd honestly be really interested to play the game like this to see if it would make the environments feel different
Eerie yet peaceful, these were really good picks. It really does make yume Nikki have an entirely different feel with these "real" environments. I cracked up at keeping dance party music tho 😂
@@ahmadsalama6447 maybe it came off maliciously, that was not my intention though. If you want something done, diy or organise it - we live in a world that allows that more than any other
8/15 edit: it's out why are you still reading this 8/14 edit: Extended edit is currently in production, it's looking to be several hours long so please be patient. Will leave a new pinned comment when it's done. Extended edit coming sometime next week - keep in mind that these 6 second snippets are all I did so I'm gonna have to re-edit all of these to work as extended loops. Don't usually do requests but might as well do this one ig (music will be edited out so don't worry about jumpscare picnics) In the meantime you may be interested in normal nature/wind/general real world ambience recordings, a lot of the stuff here is exactly that but lightly edited to fit the mood/setting of each area.
i suggest making candle world sound more like multiple little fires instead of one big campfire. otherwise super cool work dude i loved pink world's soundscape especially
can you make this but w/o the party area music scene, and extend each area by 10-20 minutes? I'd love to listen to this while I sleep but I got jump scared by the party area music scene
It’s what it says on the tin really - life doesn’t have a BGM the way video games do, so the BGM tracks are removed. Her dream worlds feature things from real life, much like real dreams, and the audio presented was based on such real life things like vacuity, weather, and fire. That’s why there’s no audio for Toriningen or Uboa, because they don’t exist in real life.

This truly was a Yume Nikki with realistic ambience
Honestly, if this was what the soundtrack of Yume Nikki consisted of, the belief that this was a horror game would be much more warranted
Wait, is it not? I've never played it for that reason

2:44 Loved the sudden jumpscare of picnic music lol
Yume Nikki but it's raining everywhere
да
so you think brown noise is all rain? damn you hikikomori or what
@@asadared6514 and wind
Candles wouldnt make that crackling sound no way bro
that was the only thing that bothered me lol. usually that sound comes from firewood snapping

This kinda makes me want someone to mod the game to have these
This really makes me want someone else to do all the work for something I want to have
Yeah, why not, is that like a bad thing in itself?

I’m almost positive the sewer sounds are from Half-Life 2, they’re so iconic
Great work!!!
That's correct and it fits so well

Ageed this would be awesome to sleep to!
I love how the toriningen party still remained the same 😭
thank you so much for making this video, i love re-visiting the games i played as a child :)
i actually really dig some of these lol, you did a good job
AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oddly calming..
duuuuude. i need extended versions of all of these and a way to put them into the game. (could probably just swap the files out) this is PERFECTION.
+
he really went to those dream worlds to get the actual ambience
I would listen to extended versions of these 100%
Lore accurate Yume Nikki
I was just imagining those sounds while reading the light novel.
I fw this, reminds me of yomawari bc of the calm but kinda eerie atmosphere
Really cool edit! Its always great seeing more yume nikki content
2:32 This sounds even better than orig
i presently revisited the game, what a coincidence
id love this as a mod
This is incredible
This video is underrated.
dude, i need to play this NOW!
Actually dope.
This is beautiful
Do what you did with the Mars monster and add the background music to these ambiences
It'll add an entire new dimension to the game
this is so dope
Need this as a mod
Well, we could say that it would be like that if we were really in the Orinoco World.
Good job (I . I )
Goated
love it
Beautiful video!
This is so cool🤍
Great work
switching backgrounds in littlebigplanet be like
are candles that loud?
i just expected silence bc its a dream lmao
wow, nice work!
3:00 does anybody know a guide on how to get here? I never encountered this place in the gameplay
Bro, sounds cool. Can you make mod with this sound?
Good video
Normal
lol, it's not possible to make "realistic" ambience in Yume Nikki because YN is the opposed of realism
Ah, yes
Noise → realism
Was the 69th like
Nothing in the game is even close to imitating reality. How can you call this "realistic" ambience?
