    Thank u so much for this. 💙💙
    I am a medical student studying in china but stuck in my home country since 2020. Even though i haven't got a HSK4 certificate, from my performance in school hsk4 exam, i got good grades (95%). I had to prepare for my medical subjects in the last 2 yrs so didn't have time to focus on hsk. And it's mandatory for our school to pass HSK5 to graduate. But there's gonna be a new pattern of HSK5 and 6 from next year which includes compulsory oral exam too. I was worried about this since yesterday. watching your vid has given me hope. I hope i can pass HSK5 in oct or dec. Thank u sooo much.

    Thanks, you worked really hard on this. I'm starting HSK 5 now, studying alone then with a little help from Chinese friends for parts I don't understand. It's taken me much more than 4 hours to do the first unit but hoping to speed up. Your method just shows what is possible, but it is extremely tough...slower may be better...eg space it over 4-6 months, one unit per week plus loads of extra TV, speaking, reading etc.

    • @knowasia

      I fully agree, faster is not nessecarily better. Also I barely passed the HSK 5 Test, so if you are learning to have a high score or to actually keep the things you've learned, I'd also recommend taking more time.

    • @knowasia
      @knowasia  2 года назад +3

      Hey,
      when I prepared for HSK 5 I learned them chapter by chapter, so after reading the text onece, I copied them all on a piece of paper and put them in my Anki afterwards.
      To study vocabulary there are 2 important parts. The first one is understanding the meaning, how to use it and how to differenciate it (this is something you should do right after the first time you learn them). The second part is to remember them (this is something you can do with any flashcard software).
      There will always be vocabulary that you can't get in your mind. You should then just use a very creative or even "studpid" way to momorize them., i.e. painting a picture or writing a poem .

    Idk how you guys feel but when I learn all in HSK 5 book the workbook kills me with new words, its like doing two opposite worlds. Especially I get lost with some useless names and phrases that even mine Chinese friends are not sure with it. I wanna preapre HSK 5 so im sure I know all characters needed for it, but I have a feeling its all so messy, by doing the workbook and book I need like 8 hours to finish all, 4h a day is really like a warm up for me :S (I passed HSK4 with like 220 score) so its not that I have a lot of gaps to fill

    • @knowasia
      @knowasia  Год назад

      I actually forgot to mention in that video. Since I took the Exam during covid lockdown, it was online. I assume by '"paragraph question" you mean the third part of the reading reading section. You should spend around 20 min on the this part. Honestly, for me it was the hardest part of the exam, don't worry if you can't answer all the questions in time.

    • @zulalcelik6215
      @zulalcelik6215 Год назад

      yes, I'm talking about that part, it's really a very challenging and time-consuming part. I guess I need to practice a lot, I don't know how else to solve it. By the way, if you are planning to make other videos related to the exam, it would be very helpful if you divide the exam into sections and make videos about how you studied the listening section, or how you studied the writing section. Thank you

    • @knowasia
      @knowasia  2 года назад +1

      Hey,
      I never actually took the HSK4 exam. I just looked it up, and if you were talking about the exercise where you have to bring the sentence parts in the right order, I'd recommend you to practice the basic Grammar rules again and also practice until you feel more confident. If you have a lot of time to spend, you should read more Chinese texts, so you get used to the syntax.

    Why do you say the textbooks only have 80-90% of the vocabulary? The 词汇 lists actually include more than the official HSK 5 list, and most of the texts actually include words from HSK 6 list as well. So maybe it's more like 110-120%.
