You forgot ChatGPT! I've learned a lot of vocabulary and grammar 语感 from chatting with ChatGPT. It can translate things that Google translate and Pleco don't know, you can talk to it to test your pronunciation when you're still a beginner, and its pronunciation is really good compared to other ai TTS. You can even long-press on its responses and have it read them aloud as many times as you want! I'm frequently talking to GPT and copying its responses into Pleco's clipboard reader from my phone.

Re: Chinese dramas... I'm finding that dramas with child characters often have dialogue that is closer to my level. It also helps to watch modern dramas rather than costume ones if you're building a working vocabulary. Secondly, RUclips has been flooded recently with micro dramas, basically short form works filmed for Douyin, aka Chinese Tiktok. These are stitched together into 2-4 hour-long 'movies', usually with less than perfect subtitles or only Mandarin subtitles. The advantage of these is that they're very repetitive; the same basic script is performed by several different groups, so the dialogue and vocabulary is quite similar. The pace and speech patterns are also generally more typical of the average Chinese speaker. Finally, I highly recommend Reset as a drama to watch. It's a very interesting and enjoyable drama.

The key to remembering things well is to connect them with emotions and situations. You can make use of movies or books that you like. For example, if you enjoy reading Harry Potter, you can remember the word "隐藏" (meaning: hole up, hide)like this: Harry, feeling powerless, hid (隐藏) under the invisibility cloak and watched as Professor Dumbledore was murdered. The situation at the location (阝) or on top of the tower became urgent (急) as the Death Eaters rushed in. After being killed (戕) by the Dark Lord's servant (臣), Dumbledore fell onto the grass (艹) below.
