My pops was a car fanatic, two nights before he passed I drove him home from wjat would be our last dinner together. I opened the Type R up on a cool winter night with him smiling (probably thinking how bat shit I am) but he told me it's a great car and that I must keep it... which came as a surprise from a man who owned and raced some serious machinery in his lifetime. I still have my R, i will never let it go (it's boosted now- wish he was here to experience it now)

Gangrel X I also learned to drive stick at 11. My first car was a manual. I got the hang of it pretty quickly and didn’t stall right away learning as a kid but at some point it happens to nearly everyone once or twice. Every car is different.
7:03 and this happen a lot off time, but if you drive a Honda with 8000+ rpm there is no problem, driving in 4th on 4000rpm, low to 3th and still have some rpm to get to the red lines 😂😂😂, petrol engines starts with power where diesels stops LOL

This was beautiful. I got this in my recommendations and reminded me how much my father loved his old em1. He had to sell it since my family was expecting another child and so he sold it to get a 4 door, man was he sad; even more sad when he found out the person he sold it to crashed it. Now, thanks to this Im going to find a civic and replicate his old em1 because why not?

I let my wife and daughter drive the 9th gen today to go to bowling. Makes me appreciate the 9th gen when someone else is driving l. Lol. Straight pipe rumble and pops. 1st gear leaving the parking lot. Pop papop pop pop. Music to my ears. Daughter loves it too. She's 5. JFK kid of the future. I ask her what sound does Mama and daddy's car make. She says bwah pop pop pop. Wife owns a 2010 Mazda 4 minivan 5spd. Straight piped. Oh man! Peace and Love from Canada.

Protip I learned from a friend who is in EMS, make sure the bottom part of the seat belt goes around your hips, if it's rested like that on your stomach it can cut thru you like a hot knife on butter if you get into an accident.

I'm an EMS worker and thats kinda true. Its always better to use it on your hips, but its only going to cause 1st degree burn even at like 40 mph. But, it depends on the accident of course.

We went 240 km/h (about 150 mph) in his Saab 9-3 Aero and I was so tense that my butt hurt bc that thing didn't have no brakes at the time 😂

I own A VW mk4 and man I really understand what he means by no power uphill.. and no torque on highest gear low rpm. But the feeling of droppind one gear and slowly flooring it to feel that torque. specially at roundabouts. Best feeling ever

Man listening to that motor I’m like “go go go more more” this was great man. I remember being in a 69 Chevelle 4 speed 396 super sport with my dad. My dad was driving it like a old lady I said “dad this things a big block can’t it get out of it’s own way?” He downshifted and punched it, damn near snapped my neck. The next ten seconds we both had big smiles on our faces. Good times man, cherish this.
My father is not impressed with the dark, obnoxious cars I've built (those are his two biggest complaints lol).
But he taught me how to drive, both when I first got my permit, and again when I was learning manual.
My heart goes out to anyone who never got this experience, because it means the world to me, and is something I will look back on when I am old and ready to go.

While not a very quick car in even vtec, it still makes me smile hearing and feeling the crossover difference. It's a fun car as a whole package with it's nimbleness and zippy nature of the throttle response and gearing.

I'm humbled when folks enjoy FWD Naturally Asperated cars in this class. I remember when I bought my first Modest fast car, an SS Cobalt. I thought it was fast and that ignorance was absolutely bliss. I had more fun with that car then then I do now with my c8 and modified Subaru and Bimmer.

I think it's funny how people who drive these cars for the first time aren't used to the revs. I took my friend out in my GSR EG and he was blown away by the sound at 8,000 rpm. At first he thought 6,000 rpm was the redline, I told him he still had 2,000 rpm more to go before shifting lol. I love impressing people with what these little engines can do.

I've driven a honda before. Dropped a gear and pinned it.... And got passed by a fucking Prius. I was like, "oh hell no, i need my Nova" 1976 chevy nova with 500hp to the wheels, 250 shot of NOS and open headers. Now thats a real car

Wish my dad were more like this; i tried this and his "knowledge of driving" forced gear shifts and sped over speed bumps. He takes no responsibility and backseats unsafe car repairs that resulted in 2 highway collisions from giving me "advice" based in saving money (aka only take care of the engine and transmission, everything else is a waste of money). Surprised I wasn't in another one of his road rage pissing contests. Bless sane parents.
