And now seing your video, I'm considering cancelling my hairtransplant, and don't mind me losing my deposit... Thank you for your answer, Cheers, Chris
Yesterday I got my FUE treatment in Spain, not cheap but service and attention to detail was outstanding. They took care of my donor area as I requested and the process took 9 hours as my hair has lots of tornado shape growth behavior. My surgery was performed by the doctor itself with the help of two assistants that took care of me and the grafts being extracted and preserved in correct way. I am so happy I did it with them.

Yes. I got lucky and unlucky at the same. The density is pretty ok and I can style my hair in any ways now but donor got overharvested. Naturalness of my frontal hairline can be discussed about ...just look at my 2 year update.and judge it yourself. You cant really see the overharvested zones with your bare eye but if you are a hair transplant doctor it will be obvious to you.

steve phillips that clinic does have nice result but they mainly do FUT and it is really not a good idea at all to do an FUT after already doing and FUE. Now , if a person went to do an FUT for their 1st procedure and later on did an FUE then there would be no issue.
Great video Matt, although I might disagree with you on Manuel vs motorized extraction only if a surgeon himself does the extraction and is skilled, it doesn’t matter they both yield similar results from what I’ve seen, even the top Ht surgeons like Dr Couto uses motorized now, it’s only a problem when it’s cheaply-paid young tech who are in a rush because they do several patients a day.
Thanks for the comment Vic. I think I added also, that automated extraction needs to be done by an experienced person who is following a specific pattern by the extraction and pays attention to homogenization of the donor area. I know, most of the Spanish HT doctors (Dr. J.Couto included) know how to use this device with pretty good results! Thanks again!
It’s as much about which system the surgeon is comftsble using. Ive seen excellent results using both methods. And dire results from both too. What matters is surgical experience. I would recommend that you always follow the surgeons advice to obtain the best results. There’s nothing worse than a surgeon doing something he’s not entirely comfortable with simply because the patient demands it.
Safe zones always will be the best places in order to get a surgery sometimes when you pay cheaper you’ll see bad results !!! They do not care about the donor area and they can make up to 10 interventions daily by techs guys we need to be aware about ourselves !!! And thanks for this amazing and clear video !!!
The really good guys that do transplants in here don't advertise They are booked solid months in advance and usually charge more than 15k euros There are some good results from the "package zone" but the technicians that are good are scouted for the more expensive clinics or they raise their prices over time Actual doctor from Turkey (all thou I am a neurophisiologist, I have quite a few friends that are plastic surgeons)
Matt are you always concerned about your hair? Can you share some pictures of 'how over harvested donor zones looks like'. I mean some donor area seems to be look ok but actually they are not.
I made mine for 1500 euro 3 weeks ago. I have strong donor hair, the clinic was ok I think, done by assistants. Now I hope I didnt make a mistake. But the hairline looks ok with zig zag shape and symmetrical still.
You didn't mention graft transection in Turkish clinics. They say they are implanting say 4000 grants but in reality, they are only taking about 2500 grafts then splitting them up into 4000 to make more money
I wish I watched this video before having my hair transplant 2 weeks ago. You're right.in the certificate they indicated 3050 grafts...but I took a pic and counted everything more or less 2000 grafts only...they wanted me to come back for another session..wtf..it's all money
The doctor showed up for 10-15 mins only...Everything was done by a technician they don't even know how to speak in English. Transfer hotel, food was good...but the procedure very low quality
This is a great video. Do you have any suggestions on clinics in the safe zone? I’m looking at MedArt Hair or Smile Hair Clinic .. any recommendations?
Still rather have it done in Turkey even at that price bracket. They have some of the best clinics and experience there. The clinics here start at £8k+ for decent quality.
Matt, I'm in Istanbul right now. I have visited a clinic call Este Favor, I didn't really like the consultation. Apparently, there is no doctor there during the surgery which would cost 1,350 euros. What clinic do you suggest here?
The photo you used for the “cheap Turkish clinic.” At 3:34 was incorrect. This is actually a photo of a hair transplant result of a tv reality star from the uk. This hair transplant was actually done at a clinic in Liverpool, not turkey. Do your research.
@7:11 Hey Matt, do you have any names of these particular clinics where doctors do the work and there is more manual extraction? I can’t seem to find the pdf file you used to sell at your older website. Also, I think this is one of your best videos!
Hi Matt, Nice report, and pretty accurate overall. I will have to disagree with one point, which is regarding donor harvesting with motorized punch. This can, but does not necessarily, lead to overharvesting. I'm a HT surgeon in the USA, and many of us who have done FUE for close to 20 years started with only manual extraction and later moved into manual and motorized, depending on the patient and the goals of the procedure. I believe that instances of overharvesting using motorized techniques are largely due to inexperience, of both techs and doctors, or too much emphasis on high volume of grafts in a short time and/or too many patients at once. We may not make as much money as the high volume /rapid procedure clinics, but we are certain to preserve the precious donor resources of our patients for the future as well as to avoid the "moth-eaten" appearance such as the photo you showed. BTW, it is possible in most cases to repair those ragged, overharvested areas using both scalp hair and/or body hair. Thanks, T. Bridges MD P. Mwamba MD MyWHTC. com Brussels/Atlanta
Hi Dr Bridges. Appreciate for your feedback! Always glad to see HT doctors/surgeons engaging on RUclips and providing some valuable inputs. Yeah, inexperience is much more likely to cause a bad result than using a motorized tool of course.I probably gave motorized devices a "bad name" in this video because I was talking about about them in conjunction with Turkish clinics... This of course doesn´t make these devices evil. I am sure there are skilled doctors like you, who use these devices in a proper way because of many years of experience.
@@letsgethair Right, Matt, very accurate reply indeed. There are very fine docs in Turkey who do great work. My biggest concerns are some of what you described, the "super high volume, minimal to no physician involvement" clinics. It MIGHT work out for the patient, but statistically more likely won't., as you implied. I hear that government subsidizing of air fare, hotels, and even surgery has allowed the price per graft in Turkey to go way down, which is nice for patients, IF they are able to settle on one of the high end clinics. Even then, it's a big financial investment for the individual! Unfortunately for those of us practicing in the USA, gov't subsidies will likely never happen here! Thanks again for informing people with your vids!
I actually had an excellent result from a "package" clinics. My counslation was in a different day. THEY HAVE DOCTORS. judging clinics by prices just plane dumb

Dude, if we sign up for a free 1 on 1 with you will you actually tell us the good clinics? I know you got to make some money but I don’t see why you can’t say which ones fall into each zone. Is that all we’re paying you for to tell us which clinics are good? Or are you actually providing value?

@@josealvares9625 I am also considering on getting my HT from that clinic, but can I go with the cheapest package, which is 2100 euros. This means that the doctor won't do anything.
Hey man what is the micromoter? Do you mean like the artas ? I don't know but I'm guess that there still is clinics that charge 6-10 for the same as the package zone?
I'm getting mine done in 3 weeks from Turkey for 2000 euros all inclusive. In the UK I'd have to pay 8X that amount so we are left with no choice really. I'd rather take the risk tbh worst case scenario just jump back on Minoxidil for the rest of my days.
You can't just use minoxidil forever brother. Not talking about the side effects. The minoxidil dependant hair follicles will fall off themselves because you didn't address the main issue causing your hair follicles to fall in the first place, which is DHT.

Does anyone have an opinion on who is better Cinik Clinic or Hair of Istanbul (ignoring the obvious marketing difference/ hotel accommodations). Which one appears to have a better outcome?
Dr Cinik has worse reviews due to how many patients they have in 1 day. Many have reported up to 10 patients with them on the day. Unless your paying Dr Cinik to do everything not worth risk. Hair of Istanbul has less patients per day & better reviews but they are not in a hospital so beware. If you have the money Asmed is the safest bet in Turkey.

I got shit results from FUT, having 2 done with only whispy hairs on the top of my head that covered nothing. Not even the frontal zone. Then having a linear scar you can't cut within a 2 guard. Went to turkey and I can see the difference in the graft count compared to what I was promised by American doctor. They also grafted my scar as well. This is a ploy to scare people from going to Turkey because people are figuring out they can get great results over there and American doctors are feeling the effects of it. I'd rather have over harvest look compared to a big scar.
Yeah? I've been on Finasteride for a year. Had some success. It's slowed down the recession considerably but not completely halted it and so it's been advised that I take it in conjunction with minoxidil. It may result in me going bald in the end but worth trying if it delays the process.
itchiness and red redness 10 years ago last used it. i dont care anymore I would rather stay bald than go back to it. even on less % density would cause me itchiness

MATTDOMINANCE hey Matt,, if you’re in Germany there’s a really good hair surgery not far from you .... joe Tillman reviewed them on his channel ,, that’s if you go for another transplant... all the best going forward.... hattingen I believe in Switzerland ,, honestly check there results there amazing
steve phillips that clinic does have nice result but they mainly do FUT and it is really not a good idea at all to do an FUT after already doing and FUE. Now , if a person went to do an FUT for their 1st procedure and later on did an FUE then there would be no issue.
Yeah Steve! True, good clinic I know them. They are known for doing large FUT sessions as Vic has already mentioned.
@@stevephillips3619 Can you remember the name of the video? The one where Joe reviews them
Great video Matt, although I might disagree with you on Manuel vs motorized extraction only if a surgeon himself does the extraction and is skilled, it doesn’t matter they both yield similar results from what I’ve seen, even the top Ht surgeons like Dr Couto uses motorized now, it’s only a problem when it’s cheaply-paid young tech who are in a rush because they do several patients a day.
MATTDOMINANCE All good points Matt. Keep up the good work!
@@victurner4057 I agree and even with a good doctor there is the issue of manual fatigue which could effect extraction after many hours.
The really good guys that do transplants in here don't advertise
They are booked solid months in advance and usually charge more than 15k euros
There are some good results from the "package zone" but the technicians that are good are scouted for the more expensive clinics or they raise their prices over time
Actual doctor from Turkey (all thou I am a neurophisiologist, I have quite a few friends that are plastic surgeons)
how do you feel about Dr. Serkan Aygin's clinic???
Matt are you always concerned about your hair?
Can you share some pictures of 'how over harvested donor zones looks like'. I mean some donor area seems to be look ok but actually they are not.
Can you provide the names of clinics that are in the safe zone or at least ISHRS/ISHRS certified?
HLC clinic for sure.
Thank you for the detailed information.

Dk you know some good clinic then?
I wish I watched this video before having my hair transplant 2 weeks ago. You're right.in the certificate they indicated 3050 grafts...but I took a pic and counted everything more or less 2000 grafts only...they wanted me to come back for another session..wtf..it's all money
The doctor showed up for 10-15 mins only...Everything was done by a technician they don't even know how to speak in English. Transfer hotel, food was good...but the procedure very low quality
How happy are you with your transplant and clinic you went to?
Watch my 2nd year update on RUclips for a more detailed opinion on this question =)
If anyone plans to go to Turkey to get this done in the next 1-3 months and lives in the US and wants someone to go with, message me.
Did you go already?
thats why im getting mine done at eugenix in india .they quoted 6k but these guys are proffesionals rather than alot of cowboys in turkey.
where did you get your hair transplant the location can you tell me the name please?

Micromotor is not dangerous if it's done by a good surgeon... or am I wrong?
You are right Zoltan.
This is a great video. Do you have any suggestions on clinics in the safe zone?
I’m looking at MedArt Hair or Smile Hair Clinic .. any recommendations?
When you take a good mikromotor like waw or trivellini, you will have the same result as with manual.
Literally this is the most helpful Video I have ever seen. Thanks so much 👍🏼👏🏻

Hello how you rate Doctor Serkan Aygin clinic?
What do you think about Dr cinik ? in november i go for DHI transplat not FUE, i think DHI is better than FUE
how is the result? made mine before 2 years. the hairline not so natural
My cousin went to Dr. Cinik and has Very Good result...beautiful and natural hairline
For the price in the third category you don't actually have to go to Turkey :D
Still rather have it done in Turkey even at that price bracket. They have some of the best clinics and experience there. The clinics here start at £8k+ for decent quality.
Do u have an idea abouth health care rules and clinics in Turkey? Believe me much more safer and better than other countries.
Matt, I'm in Istanbul right now. I have visited a clinic call Este Favor, I didn't really like the consultation. Apparently, there is no doctor there during the surgery which would cost 1,350 euros. What clinic do you suggest here?
thnx men , this helped me out a lot !!
What do you think about Cosmedica?
The photo you used for the “cheap Turkish clinic.” At 3:34 was incorrect. This is actually a photo of a hair transplant result of a tv reality star from the uk. This hair transplant was actually done at a clinic in Liverpool, not turkey. Do your research.
Dan 3 he just said that’s what you should expect from a cheap clinic..

@7:11 Hey Matt, do you have any names of these particular clinics where doctors do the work and there is more manual extraction? I can’t seem to find the pdf file you used to sell at your older website. Also, I think this is one of your best videos!
The question than becomes for 6-10k is it worth going to Turkey?
Seems like a roll of the dice no matter how much you pay

book a consulting session with me to find out!
@@letsgethair Hi, how do i book consultation with you Matt?
Excellent. Saved me a lot of problems.

Hi Matt,
Nice report, and pretty accurate overall.
Thanks,

Hi Dr Bridges. Appreciate for your feedback! Always glad to see HT doctors/surgeons engaging on RUclips and providing some valuable inputs. Yeah, inexperience is much more likely to cause a bad result than using a motorized tool of course.I probably gave motorized devices a "bad name" in this video because I was talking about about them in conjunction with Turkish clinics... This of course doesn´t make these devices evil. I am sure there are skilled doctors like you, who use these devices in a proper way because of many years of experience.
@@letsgethair
Right, Matt, very accurate reply indeed.

Nolan Rayner i talk to cosmedica and ask them If i can fly to turkey and have Face to face konsultation with Dr acar and they said no... the women i talk to from cosmedica was very unprofessional she just wanted to sell a pakage to me!
Thank you matt. sharing us invaluable information.
glad you liked it!

How inconvenient is it to use Minoxidil on a regular basis?
