If the hair loss seems stabilised I don’t see a problem filling the hair line to make it look as natural as possible as this part of the head looks the most aesthetically pleasing. Minoxidil is highly over rated because as soon as you stop Minoxidil you hair will start to fall again even more than before. Minoxidil has side effects that force people to stop using for some time like few months, and then it doesn't work the same way once you start using again.
@@Dan-ul1sf I think you misunderstood my point. First-time Minoxidil works fine but as soon as you stop for a short break(even few weeks) and restart, Minoxidil won't work the same and you will have excessive hairloss problem because it triggers excessive hair shedding
@@YourTherapySessionJustStarted Obviously your hair will fall out after stopping it but it does take a while. I stopped for a month and didn't lose anything.
I’ve got to push back on the overharvesting of donor point…I’d MUCH rather have the sides and back donor region look shitty and a bit spotty if it meant better crown/top/frontal third coverage. You can smp the donor and alleviate much of that.
My son went to Turkey for a hair transplant it looks great. And it was cheap. I'd go to Istanbul for a transplant before I'd do one in the US. Besides being cheaper they are more experienced in Turkey. Edit: I went to Istanbul now too for a transplant and so far I'm impressed. I can't wait for it to grow out. Very nice clinic and had 4850 grafts
I find your videos very informing. Question - If the majority of these procedures are being made by technicians, and they practice day after day, and in comparison the doctors are more involved in the consultations, hair design, and other areas of the work, wouldn't it be plausible that they would be more experienced? I think Dr. Gary Linkov also mentioned that i believe. Thank you
Exactly, it's like nurses and doctors, the nurses are dealing with all types of patients and symptoms all day everyday day while the doctors do their rounds once a day. I'd take the advice of an experienced nurse over younger doctor any day.
I was considering this but with the US exchange rate (I'm in Canada) and airfare, it will end up being $8000. Also, there is a huge risk finding the right place to do it in Turkey, it's a huge gamble because it's saturated with clinics offering cheap procedures. You just don't know who to trust and might look worse than when you started. Also I couldn't imagine the looks I get when I need to walk my dogs as I heal after the procedure because you can't cover your head for the first couple or more weeks. The head would look butchered.
I'm 30 and I went to Turkish clinic Vatanmed in Bosnia. It cost 1500euros (+360e for 4sets of shampoos, sprays and pills). They decided to split transplant into two sessions: I had hight temples and potential to keep loosing hair on the front part of a scalp, so they extracted 4500 graphs and covered temples but also the whole front part for volume effect. I wanted to cover a crown, but they said this is more important for first tranplant. They did "zig-zag" hairline (imagine heartbeat graph) so it wouldn't look straight. I'm afraid for my donor area. I had density there but it seems my whole back head and sided are full of holes. Even though initial meeting and drawing of hairline was preformed by a doctor, the operation was performed by very young turkish tech (not doctors!), while there were another 4 surgeries at the same time. I was done in less than 6 hours. Everything was so fast. I asked for minixidil, but they say "no", just prp and vitamins are ok even though whole internet is advising minoxidil. And the second day when they were washing scalp, they "forced" me to buy expensive "vitamin mix" products even though that wasn't discussed before. They were extremly polite, but they seemed like they didn't care, didn't give me check (only lifetime guarantee). The written instructions they gave afterwards were extremely poor, short and confusing. Operation was 2 days ago but I already feel depressed...
can u keep us updated man? I'm seriously debating getting a HT and turkey seems affordable. I'm not in rush to get tt done since i still have hair... so im willing to wait few months.
Your concerns are exactly why I decided to stay in my own country for surgery. I found a good place with a 26 years of experiences Turkish doctor and a long time team that performs just one per day. They were extremely careful and practical with the plan. The more I learn, the more I understand the things he told me. I went with just 2030 grafts for 7000 hairs, building me about halfway back with a reasonable hairline. I have a thinning crown, but it’s still there. They don’t like to do much more due to blood supply concerns. The cost was reasonable, about double what a good clinic in Turkey would charge which if you subtract airfare, it wasn’t anything but a couple thousand more. It’s a life altering decision that could destroy the prospect of having hair if it gets messed up. I’ll sacrifice a few thousand extra to play it safe. Turkey is a crapshoot because they aren’t regulated at all. At 4500 grafts, you probably don’t have much donor hair left Id think. I hear cap is 4-6000 and that’s it.
@@kevingatebridge3656His advices aren't wrong, however he seems to overestimate most of the risks when it comes to cheap transplants abroad and has quite a strong bias against them. Even if the job is done by interns, Turkey is the busiest country right now for hair ops. They do at least 60 a month. Even if you take me as an intern, by the 30th transplant I'll have mastered the thing. Most doctors started as interns anyway. The doctor must supervise the thing, but it's not necessarily meant that the doctor should do every single thing himself. That'd make them do more mistakes than interns would. However, in this guy's defense, Turkey is a Balkanic country. As a guy living in Balkan, you should really be wary of people promising you paradise for cheap. Ask clinics about documented proof from the hospital of the grafts extracted, warn them several times to not overharvest an area and to use even beard hair if possible. And spit the procedure on 2 sessions at least. If you let yourself completely in the hands of turks or Balkan folks in general, you can bet they'll fck you somehow.
Im gonna say something this dude didn't even mention, which is everything. Aftercare!!! Yes! That matters! Aftercare is going to play a HUGE roll in your results.
Thinking about it just the people I spoke to is always over sampling. The corners and a bit of the crown, they see a photo and then start saying 5-6k which is odd because people who did 50-60% of there head was way less.
I just got mine a couple days ago from smile hair clinic and they unfortunately told me that I wouldn’t have enouph for my crown just the front half of my head. Wish I pushed back and said it doesn’t matter what my sides look like since I get a skin fade anyway. But still excited for the front and hope the finasteride and minoxidil helps with the crown area. The process did feel a little rushed and I just felt like another cattle they needed to operate on 😂

@@RoxusRemo 4 months and I’m doing pretty good I think. I was a Norwood 4 so my hair line was almost gone. It’s back but hoping for more density. Takes a year for full results but I think I’m ok so far
Time flies! It’s been a year and half and I’ll tell you it’s not perfect but much much better. It’s thinner in front but many circumstances to consider. 1 you need to plan on taking drugs like finasteride or dutasteride to keep from continued balding. There are risks to consider there but I been on them 15 years and I’m fine, I think haha. Also consider the quality of your donnor hair. My donnor is ok. But thinner and very curly so I need to play with it to get the style I want. I have thin spots behind the hairline at times and question the amount of grafts I actually got. It’s hard to dispute since I’m in a foreign country. I went to Vera. They were good to me. But I did feel a bit rushed through as they want to make lots of money. But as a Canadian I paid with flights around 6000$ Canadian dollar sucks. The sales guy I initially had was great but his replacement leave. A lot to be desired. Overall I’m happy with the result but there might be better. Do your research.

I had 6000 grafts extracted in one session. The technicians did such a good job you can’t even see a single scar in the donor area. Maybe I got lucky 🤷🏼♂️
I got a lot of grafts done 4500, apparently that’s the max, and I have thick density donor hair. 6k sounds like aggressive marketing…I can definitely notice where hair has been removed from the sides, still though… I’m delighted to once again have a decent amount of hair on top of my head again (over 2 years post opp).
I had 2 transplants one in usa for $8500 and they used a lot of hairs from an unsafe donor and some parts looked light almost over harvested and talked to some other clinics in Turkey some said tbey couldn’t extract more then 750 cause of light donor some said 4500 grafts ( i stayed aways from those). I found FUECAPILAR AND they quoted me for 2,000 grafts for $3400. When i got there they said they could do 2,204 grafts. I am only 1.5 months post but they did an amazing job extracting from the donor. My donor area looks like it wasn’t even touched and im no where near 6 months post which is when u can tell if u over harvested or not. I know i have to wait a full yr for final results. But im confident it will be great and i did a lot of research and talked to well over 10 patients who got theirs done there and saw even more on reddit and face book.

@@mysteryuser7062 No. $2500-$3000 is still way too low. The quality in Turkey at these places is awful. They build hairlines way too strong and unrealistic. @@kmichael1850 I’ve seen quality hair transplants performed at 1,000 Euros before. Looked as good as $30K ones in the US. Cheaper clinics have increased their quality greatly in the past few years and Turkey’s economy still isn’t very good. So, you still can find good doctors at a cheap price, but be careful chasing cheapness. Matt says about 3K, but after speaking to many hair transplant clinics, 2K seems to be a fairer “danger zone”. Provided there is adequate doctor involvement and it is done at a reputable medical facility with a team of trained technicians, you can generally expect good results despite the lower prices. Any hair transplant clinic worth anything will do free consultation online, so take advantage of this and ask for as much information to check off little requirements you have (so much doctor involvement, before and after pictures, modern equipment, translator available, etc.). This is a much better method to go off of than just looking at the price tag, because more expensive =\= better

Yeah same here...
Makes sense
Same i was thinking of having them purposely over harvest from bottom up so i can just rock a fade smp where a fresh shave would occur …

@@neo5973you must be joking. Read the real reviews
What is the clinic that you think is good? Any idea our suggestions? Where to get a good clinic? Thank you
My son went to Turkey for a hair transplant it looks great.
Which clinic did you use???
I can spot your HT from a mile away. Im worried about this for myself
Best results I've seen are from USA doctors. I don't know where this guy is from.
yea not good. know where he had his done?
I find your videos very informing. Question - If the majority of these procedures are being made by technicians, and they practice day after day, and in comparison the doctors are more involved in the consultations, hair design, and other areas of the work, wouldn't it be plausible that they would be more experienced? I think Dr. Gary Linkov also mentioned that i believe. Thank you
Exactly, it's like nurses and doctors, the nurses are dealing with all types of patients and symptoms all day everyday day while the doctors do their rounds once a day.
I'd take the advice of an experienced nurse over younger doctor any day.
Doctors dont do stuff normally. Cannulas are almost always done by nurses for instance
You can wear a big loose hat. They recommend that to protect you grafts from the sun
Imagine going to work like that 😂

Is Cosmedica in turkey a good company ?
You shouldn’t worry, at the end of the day it’s the transplant that matters.
can u keep us updated man? I'm seriously debating getting a HT and turkey seems affordable. I'm not in rush to get tt done since i still have hair... so im willing to wait few months.
Wow. Keep updating us pls. Because i have in plans to go to the same clinic in Sarajevo. Pricas li neku od nasih jezika? 😅
How are you know?
Which Clinic you recommend in Turkey? For instance like Cosmedica, Blue magic, Vera clinic and so on??
He doest put his money where his mouth is...doest recommend clinics...which makes me wonder about his advices
Just Bluemagic😘
@kevingatebridge3656 yea he wants people to pay for that info lol

@@PrinceOFpaiN1a year has passed how do u feel. If ur happy with the results, do u mind sharing the clinic u went to?

It is a completely fair assumption to consider shaving the sides because that has been a popular hairstyle for over 30 years.
