    I went and got a hair transplant in Turkey in October 2023 at smile hair clinic I payed for the ultimate package which means the doctors do the work and not trainees, they were perfect I actually suggested could they make my hair line a little lower and they tried to pull me away from having it to low so I decided to go with and trust what they were saying. I was looking to get the “aggressive” hair style look and I’m so glad they sat me down and went through why a more natural hair look would be far better for me now and in the future so I went with what they had said and to be honest Im well over the moon with the outcome it looks very natural and they were able to bring my hairline forward slightly without taking the natural look away while filling in my receded areas and my temples slightly very please with them and I would highly recommend them to anyone that has an interest in getting a hair transplant in Turkey, im 2 months in and im enjoying seeing my hair and hairline coming back to life 😊

    I had an early hair transplant 12 years ago mid 20's. I didn't go to turkey but they took a strip from the back of my head, not i have a scar, the doctor cut that & made the holes in my head & the helpers/nurses did the actual grafting & transplanting. It lasted 4 years then thinned out again. Transplants are temporary and or don't last long at all. the head doesn't always accept them. I've made a few videos about my hair loss journey. If I could advise anyone. wait until you're older like 30's. shave your hair off & see how you feel for a few weeks or months. if you aren't happen get it done. if you are fine, save your money and be a happy bald guy the ladies love.

    I think people always have to take Finasteride & Minoxidil if they want to have a fighting chance against hair loss, especially if they opt for a transplant.
    If the hair loss seems stabilised I don’t see a problem filling the hair line to make it look as natural as possible as this part of the head looks the most aesthetically pleasing.
    Even in the future if the rest of the hair thins out a little, you can use the rest of the donor area and use hair fibres. I’ve been using hair fibres for four years now, mainly around the hairline and mid scalp, if I was to get a good transplant and fill in these areas well I will have no problem using fibres on the crown where it wouldn’t be as noticeable.

    • @awh4272

That's already 5K. Then factor another 2K for a round trip ticket from Australia to Turkey. That's already 7-8 K. I'm 30 and I went to Turkish clinic Vatanmed in Bosnia. It cost 1500euros (+360e for 4sets of shampoos, sprays and pills).
    They decided to split transplant into two sessions: I had hight temples and potential to keep loosing hair on the front part of a scalp, so they extracted 4500 graphs and covered temples but also the whole front part for volume effect. I wanted to cover a crown, but they said this is more important for first tranplant. They did "zig-zag" hairline (imagine heartbeat graph) so it wouldn't look straight.
    I'm afraid for my donor area. I had density there but it seems my whole back head and sided are full of holes.
    Even though initial meeting and drawing of hairline was preformed by a doctor, the operation was performed by very young turkish tech (not doctors!), while there were another 4 surgeries at the same time. I was done in less than 6 hours. Everything was so fast.
    I asked for minixidil, but they say "no", just prp and vitamins are ok even though whole internet is advising minoxidil.
    And the second day when they were washing scalp, they "forced" me to buy expensive "vitamin mix" products even though that wasn't discussed before.
    They were extremly polite, but they seemed like they didn't care, didn't give me check (only lifetime guarantee). The written instructions they gave afterwards were extremely poor, short and confusing.
    Operation was 2 days ago but I already feel depressed...

      Your concerns are exactly why I decided to stay in my own country for surgery. I found a good place with a 26 years of experiences Turkish doctor and a long time team that performs just one per day. They were extremely careful and practical with the plan. The more I learn, the more I understand the things he told me. I went with just 2030 grafts for 7000 hairs, building me about halfway back with a reasonable hairline. I have a thinning crown, but it’s still there. They don’t like to do much more due to blood supply concerns. The cost was reasonable, about double what a good clinic in Turkey would charge which if you subtract airfare, it wasn’t anything but a couple thousand more. It’s a life altering decision that could destroy the prospect of having hair if it gets messed up. I’ll sacrifice a few thousand extra to play it safe. Turkey is a crapshoot because they aren’t regulated at all. At 4500 grafts, you probably don’t have much donor hair left Id think. I hear cap is 4-6000 and that’s it.

      @@kevingatebridge3656His advices aren't wrong, however he seems to overestimate most of the risks when it comes to cheap transplants abroad and has quite a strong bias against them.
      Even if the job is done by interns, Turkey is the busiest country right now for hair ops. They do at least 60 a month. Even if you take me as an intern, by the 30th transplant I'll have mastered the thing. Most doctors started as interns anyway. The doctor must supervise the thing, but it's not necessarily meant that the doctor should do every single thing himself. That'd make them do more mistakes than interns would.
      However, in this guy's defense, Turkey is a Balkanic country. As a guy living in Balkan, you should really be wary of people promising you paradise for cheap. Ask clinics about documented proof from the hospital of the grafts extracted, warn them several times to not overharvest an area and to use even beard hair if possible. And spit the procedure on 2 sessions at least. If you let yourself completely in the hands of turks or Balkan folks in general, you can bet they'll fck you somehow.

    I was considering this but with the US exchange rate (I'm in Canada) and airfare, it will end up being $8000. Also, there is a huge risk finding the right place to do it in Turkey, it's a huge gamble because it's saturated with clinics offering cheap procedures. You just don't know who to trust and might look worse than when you started. Also I couldn't imagine the looks I get when I need to walk my dogs as I heal after the procedure because you can't cover your head for the first couple or more weeks. The head would look butchered.

    Most of the clinics in Turkey will be disappointed. Based on my research, 99% don't restore the temple point. For me a no go. The fact that Turkey has the most clinics, doesn't mean that they master the art of hair restoration. The best clinic I've seen so far is Eugenix India.

    I just got mine a couple days ago from smile hair clinic and they unfortunately told me that I wouldn’t have enouph for my crown just the front half of my head. Wish I pushed back and said it doesn’t matter what my sides look like since I get a skin fade anyway. But still excited for the front and hope the finasteride and minoxidil helps with the crown area. The process did feel a little rushed and I just felt like another cattle they needed to operate on 😂

    I had 2 transplants one in usa for $8500 and they used a lot of hairs from an unsafe donor and some parts looked light almost over harvested and talked to some other clinics in Turkey some said tbey couldn’t extract more then 750 cause of light donor some said 4500 grafts ( i stayed aways from those). I found FUECAPILAR AND they quoted me for 2,000 grafts for $3400. When i got there they said they could do 2,204 grafts. I am only 1.5 months post but they did an amazing job extracting from the donor. My donor area looks like it wasn’t even touched and im no where near 6 months post which is when u can tell if u over harvested or not. I know i have to wait a full yr for final results. But im confident it will be great and i did a lot of research and talked to well over 10 patients who got theirs done there and saw even more on reddit and face book.

      Time flies! It’s been a year and half and I’ll tell you it’s not perfect but much much better. It’s thinner in front but many circumstances to consider. 1 you need to plan on taking drugs like finasteride or dutasteride to keep from continued balding. There are risks to consider there but I been on them 15 years and I’m fine, I think haha. Also consider the quality of your donnor hair. My donnor is ok. But thinner and very curly so I need to play with it to get the style I want. I have thin spots behind the hairline at times and question the amount of grafts I actually got. It’s hard to dispute since I’m in a foreign country. I went to Vera. They were good to me. But I did feel a bit rushed through as they want to make lots of money. But as a Canadian I paid with flights around 6000$ Canadian dollar sucks. The sales guy I initially had was great but his replacement leave. A lot to be desired. Overall I’m happy with the result but there might be better. Do your research.

      @@mysteryuser7062 No. $2500-$3000 is still way too low. The quality in Turkey at these places is awful. They build hairlines way too strong and unrealistic. Then when the person balds even more inevitably with time, they gave no more grafts left. I'd rather spend a few thousand more when it's such an important procedure. This isn't a dental filling.

    • @mysteryuser7062
      @mysteryuser7062 2 года назад

      @@kmichael1850 I’ve seen quality hair transplants performed at 1,000 Euros before. Looked as good as $30K ones in the US. Cheaper clinics have increased their quality greatly in the past few years and Turkey’s economy still isn’t very good. So, you still can find good doctors at a cheap price, but be careful chasing cheapness. Matt says about 3K, but after speaking to many hair transplant clinics, 2K seems to be a fairer “danger zone”.
      Provided there is adequate doctor involvement and it is done at a reputable medical facility with a team of trained technicians, you can generally expect good results despite the lower prices. Any hair transplant clinic worth anything will do free consultation online, so take advantage of this and ask for as much information to check off little requirements you have (so much doctor involvement, before and after pictures, modern equipment, translator available, etc.). This is a much better method to go off of than just looking at the price tag, because more expensive =\= better

    • @skyDN1974
      @skyDN1974 2 года назад +5

      I’m just a random person. But I’m 33 and got my hairline lowered a tiny tiny bit. My hair loss was relatively stable by my age (mostly due to oral Finasteride for a few years) and the doctor has been doing transplants for 20+ years. It’s not always a bad idea in my opinion. The important thing is, if you lower your hairline, it shouldn’t be as low as it was when you had a full head of hair. It should look like a natural, mature hairline. Not a hairline of an 8 year old haha

    • @mysteryuser7062

      It’s not a very good idea to lower your hairline because hairloss will still progress behind the transplanted areas and require more and more transplants until donor area is depleted. This happens most often with a younger candidate that does not use medical therapy.
      In terms of restoring recessed temples, any age is acceptable, provided hair loss has stabilized with a medical therapy first. A more conservative hair line is likely best advised, because hair loss is degenerative and will continue some even with therapy

      @@skyDN1974 yeah I ask because the shitty clinic I went to lowered mine without me wanting to, and they rounded the corners so the shape looks feminine which is annoying. So far I can style my hair with the fringe down but I'm pissed that they rushed me into this. St the time I was questioning the hairline saying it's too low and I couldn't quite put my finger on what looked off but I later realized it was the rounded corners. Problem is too they went as low as they could so I can't even have a corrective to place single grafts in the front of all the multis they placed, disaster haha. My only consolation is I'm in my thirties and have been medicated for 6+ years now so I feel like my hairloss is stable and hope that I won't need any more transplants

      @@Ytaccount821 By rounding the corners do you mean the temples? Did they round it to meet your sideburn area instead of a more sharp connection? Trying to visualise what you mean!
