@@LoveleshKalonia The crucial one has only 4 chips on one side of the ram. So it should mean it is a 1rx16 ram. I have crucial 1rx8 ram and it has 4 chips on each side of the ram. And if you check, even the Samsung ram in your laptop might have 4 on each side.

I've got a Geek Squad appointment under my warranty to upgrade this exact laptop and ram. If they claim it'll take longer than a day to install an extra 8gb stick, I'm going to be annoyed. Would you know how to test if both sticks are running dual channel once the installation is complete?
I bought the same product on amazon but the last time I bought it the back side was in black color board type and micron logo but this time back no any thing i don't know original or fake
Packaging may change over time. You can match the Specs, Serial Number & Part/Model Number that is on the plastic packaging with the values shown on the RAM itself and in the CPU-Z program. If it is a fake product those values won't match. Hope this helps.

Try to swap your RAM sticks between the 2 slots. Try using 1 RAM stick at a time and check the speed in CPU-Z. Also try cleaning the contact pads on the RAM sticks carefully. I do not think BIOS would have any particular option to check the RAM speed but you can check that too. Apart from that, I do not think there is much you can do yourself. Better to take it to HP Service Center and them take a look. If it is under warranty period, you will get a replacement. If you can share your RAM model I can verify if it can run at 3200MHz or not.
This crucial ram, I think it is 1rx16. The one in your laptop was 1rx8.
Yes I can confirm that the SAMSUNG one in laptop is 1Rx8. But the Crucial one I am not sure. Datasheet is not available on Crucial website.

Yes you can check CPU-Z or AIDA64 or even Task Manager for that info.
If you are using dedicated gpu than there will be no performance difference but if you have Igpu aur apu then you will get 10-15 Fps boost
