I just purchased this exact Jackery so perfect timing on putting this together. Very nice to know it should last me all day. Love the ornaments as this is really close to what I will be doing. Now to work out pricing for my area. Everyone this that my labor and materials should be free 😂.
I’ve been using a Jackery 1500 to power a 5watt laser, exhaust fan, and a laptop charger. I only charge the laptop when it gets below 20%. I only use the fan while engraving. After a 16 hour weekend we still had 35% left on the power station.
Great video Sam. It’s cool that you put this out just after xtool launched their partnership with Jackery on Wednesday evening. You showed us real world time and I believe they used the smaller 500 model. It’s cool to see these power stations progress in their technology and hope you have more of this on The Juice Box channel
It was purely by coincidence too! I didn’t know about xtool’s plans when I had Jackery reach out asking if I had a creative way to show their unit. :) And yes!! The Juice Box has a new item to dive deep into and review now too! :)
Sam, I am so happy that you featured the Jackery power station I have been looking for something like it to get for my mom who uses a CPAP and oxygen concentrator. She will be moving in with us soon and I have worried because we have frequent power outages in our area. I was able to buy two through your link for the price of one that I was going to buy.
Wonder how quick a Glowforge setup would deplete that battery.. The unit you tested would be ideal for what you're presenting it as, they're quick, and get the job done with minimal power usage.
Hey, I got a question with removing the base plate, can you do bigger things if you lower the laser? Since there's no gantry and as long as it's in focus could you?
Excellent content, love your sense of humor! Do you prefer that laser for speed engraving on coasters over the S1? I might need to invest in the F1 as well to speed up production.
Great video. I like idea of battery inverter. You could economise s bitmore on power dont run air suction during engrave. Just suck 10 seconds at end of job surely enough to clear 1 CuFt air space
another great informative video. I have the 20W xtool D1 Pro and most of my business comes from coasters. I images that can get intricate and take up to 20 minutes to complete 1 coaster. What kind of speed comparision is there on the F1. I want to look into the F1 but only if it can significantly improve the time it takes to do a coaster. Thanks again.
Yes, the air purifier is the main culprit on noise. However you don’t have to keep it on top of the table. The house is long enough to put it under the table and be less of an issue. :)
I've been curious about power needs for a setup like this. I've been thinking about adding an F1 next year. Sounds like that air purifier is pretty loud though. It's that going to be an issue at indoor events?
That is usually dictated by the host or vendor coordinator. Although insurance is always a great thing to have with any business! I use NEXT insurance for my needs. They had the best coverage & rates after doing my research. I pay for it myself -- no kickbacks for sending you to them. :)

I use my Jackery 1000 (original) at craft shows and flea markets. Love it and have no issues ever with running out of power.
I clean houses for a living and most of my orders are for those people, but I love your products and work, thank you so much !

I added a 100w solar panel with my jackery explorer. Adds an extra day and a half when camping and should help with this setup.

Would this work if I was at a craft fair under a tent?
Thank you Sam! Enjoy your videos!

It was quite helpful...thank you for a great video...I know it's a lot of work...but you did a great job!!! Thank you.
You've got some cute ornaments there.
Thanks Sam, that is the kind of setup I’m looking to setup 👍
I see lots of craft fairs with engraving and soap booth.
Where are you venting to at a show? Like only doing outside shows? and venting to the air in your booth?
Great video! I definitely need one to go with my F1. I would like to run a very small fan with it, also.

Cool video! What do you think about running a 60W fiber laser on the Jackery?
What settings did you use to engrave . Thank you in advance
What version of lightburn is best for xtool m1 . Thanks like your videos learn something every time.
lol I liked your little role play scenario 😂
I guess your bestseller item is the Monogrammed Coasters
Can you do this test with the xtool s1??
Nice job Sam. One of these days I will add one of these lasers to my shop.
When will the Christmas ornaments be on your website?
Wonder how quick a Glowforge setup would deplete that battery.. The unit you tested would be ideal for what you're presenting it as, they're quick, and get the job done with minimal power usage.
Great job as usual, thanks Sam.
I especially liked this video 👍 and I want that Christmas ornament 😂
👍😃Danke für das Video.
Sehr interessant

So your saying that if you lasered non stop for 8 hours you could get through a craft fair for 8 hours or more?
Great video. I like idea of battery inverter. You could economise s bitmore on power dont run air suction during engrave. Just suck 10 seconds at end of job surely enough to clear 1 CuFt air space
Great ideas!
you fire up the M4 with this thing ?
Great video 👍👍. Are the Christmas ornaments going to be available on your website?

The main nose comes from the air purifier?
What is so specific for the F1 for me to buy that brand and not others?
Yes, the air purifier is the main culprit on noise. However you don’t have to keep it on top of the table. The house is long enough to put it under the table and be less of an issue. :)
The F1 has a diode and IR laser. Others only have 1 or the other. Having both types allows you to run this on many more types of materials.
on the CNC, do you have to buy separate, the different tool heads? if that made sense.
End mills.. yes, you have to buy different ones based upon the milling profile you want. :)
Very good 👍

The occasional fan noise will be less an issue than the smoke and fumes you would otherwise produce. It’s not as loud as seems in the video.
Do you have to have any kind of insurance to run a laser at a craft show?
That is usually dictated by the host or vendor coordinator. Although insurance is always a great thing to have with any business! I use NEXT insurance for my needs. They had the best coverage & rates after doing my research. I pay for it myself -- no kickbacks for sending you to them. :)
If your makers mark is the same all the time you could burn that before the show on the pieces you bring to the show
Interesting

Why do they call these “generators”? It stores energy but does not generate it.
