I bought the F1with the slide extension and air filter the other day and it was bundled with the RA2 Pro and a 10 watt D1 Pro so I bought your F1 files, as I did when I got my other D1 Pro. Just opened it and I'm setting it up now. These files will get me started nicely - thanks for creating them.
As others have said, double pressing the start button does batch items, immediately re-running the same burn. It has to be a quick double press. If it's too slow, it'll just pause and un-pause the machine. My problem is that it tends to jostle the machine and items on the bed, which won't be an issue using the jigs like you have. They're selling both a button and foot pedal that will move the functions of the button off of the machine so it won't jostle. I've pre-ordered the button, should be shipping in the next few weeks.
I have been doing something similar, a couple of things I think I have discovered, the F1 can cut larger than the metal insert, I have been able to cut templates that are a snug fit using the F1. Second, I bought an assortment of M3 screws on Amazon, I prefer having a couple in place top and left then butting the template up to the screws, I find it easier than popping out the metal tray thing. Great video, really informative!
@@TheClackShack It seems like it. I don't have a business, yet, but watching how much this tech has progressed in the last couple of years, I am surprised at what you all think up to create. When I first got into lasers it was large CO2 and less than 2watt diodes. So I went 3D printing, ha.
They are getting more advanced weekly. Sad to say that my first laser from 3 years ago is now just a "keep sake" hanging on the wall. It does still work though...

Xtool now sells a batch footswitch for the F1. Also, the IR preheat default is “off” and turns back to “off” every time you close XCS. I’ve been caught so many times not turning it back to “on” when opening XCS 😉
great jigs - I have 2 questions, first is you said to use 4.5 or 4.7 mm material, where can I find that? 2nd is how do you ignore the background in CS?

Thanks for the great video. I bought your files and am going to make them this week. I had a major issue with my F1 at my first outdoor craft show. Hello, I recently purchased your jigs from Etsy and I'm very happy with them. Thank you. I do have a question, I have the circle wooden keychains from Amazon and I need a jig for them to use on my Xtool F1, can you help?
Good Morning Sir, I am entertaining starting a side business to make some extra cash to help support my family and wondering if the F1 would be the tool to start with? The print area seems small but like you’ve mentioned in a few other videos it’s the small stuff that sells. I was thinking of starting with engraving as my first offering with the business so that’s what lead me to the F1. I can’t afford the F1 Ultra, do you think the F1 would be THE tool to get to start the business and get my foot in the door? Thank you for your time and video creation I enjoy watching them.
I believe that most any tool can be used to make money with the right approach. I recommend figuring out what you plan to make and then selecting the machine that is best suited for that. I can tell you that there are some bigger diodes out there for similar price that would give you a bit more capacity. They wouldn’t be as portable if you plan on doing shows.
@@TheClackShack thank you for the response. I really think (as much as I wouldn’t want to lol) going to the shows would be the fastest way to get my name out there and make money. Portability at least initially would be a big selling point for me. I’m sure people love seeing the laser do its thing so the fact that it’s enclosed keeping everyone safe is a good thing too. Thank you again for responding. Cheers from Wisconsin.
It will work with either but the multiple canvases is a nice thing when doing events, it makes swapping items much faster. It also will work over WiFi where lightburn can’t.
Down loaded the jig kit this morning. I will have them ready when my new F1 arrived. Thanks. Have a Great weekend.
Enjoy!

I purchased your jigs for the F1 and they were great. I'm now using them to make jigs for other things. They fit perfect. Thanks!!

Are you kidding me🎉 I feel like I’ve now hit the jackpot. Thank you Shack
Thanks... Maybe you have.
Really enjoy watching your videos. You make it feel like I’m right there in the shop too
Thanks, it is a little cramped in here isn’t it…lol.. trying to convince my wife that I need a bigger shop

There are lots of ways.
This is very smart! Thank you for sharing your idea!
Glad it was helpful!
You can batch it out when the job is done just hit the button on the side of the F1 twice and it will run the same job again
I swear I tried that... Have to try again. I would still like a counter like other galvos have.

@@TheClackShack Yep
Those jigs are great. For someone new, it may be helpful to write the specific engraver settings on each jig.
There are lots of colors and preference of looks to consider. It would be a lengthy list.

It varies, learn your local market and get as much as you can.

The foot switch would be cool.
I’m glad you like the F1. It’s been a great learning tool for me. I’m considering an Atomstack 70w now. Would you think that’s overkill?
I like mine so far, it specializes in cutting. It still does a good job engraving also.

It would be really nice if you could create an 3D printer STL for the jigs.
There are some others out there that have. To me, the laser cut are just cheaper and quicker to make for most folks.
Very slick, I like it!
Much appreciated! I like it..
What material did you use to make the jigs, most importantly the thickness. I'm not seeing it here or on your Etsy post.
I use 4.5mm but 3mm works too. The box may need some adjustment
BRILLIANT!
Thanks

I’ve gotten very comfortable using Lightburn with my Roly Lasermatic mk2. Does XCS work better and do you recommend it over Lightburn with the F1?

@@TheClackShack Thanks!
Do you have a video on how to make a jig?
Lots
what thickness of wood are you using to make the jigs? I used 1/8 but the depth looks deeper then yours
I use 4.5mm to cut them. Sometimes I use 3mm spacers in the holes. Just use some thinner material and cut the hole shape from it.
I use Lightburn for my F1. I can't stand XCS! Do you have the files for the jigs for in Lightburn?
The cut files are in lightburn format. It is the same shapes but I haven’t laid them out in the work area.
You should be able to repeat the last jib by pressing the start button on the machine. Unless they too it out in V2?
I called myself trying that. Gonna have to test again.
there is a jig that looks like a cross with rounded ends, what is that for?
Should be named. Bottle opener I believe
Beats the heck out of my lego jigs.
It works pretty well.. thanks
Can the F1 engrave on the blades of pocket knives?
It can mark stainless and remove coatings, the depth is very limited with 2 watts.
well you be making a jig system for the Wecreat?
Just use square material and index in the corner
You can do a batch job by double pressing the button.
I need to bolt it down to keep from moving it though.. Not a fan of the way they set that up.
Just curious…is there another diaode IR laser that you like?
There are a few companies that make them. I have only used the F1. Longer also makes a head for an open gantry.

I purchased this set on etsy. Is there any way i can get the files in svg format?
What software are you using?
how do you power your F1 When you are doing an event
Either wall power or my quiet generator
on my F1 I can just double press the button on the side to repeat the former process
Yea, I now have the button.
