Hi Skylar! Thank you for sharing your findings. The F1 looks pretty amazing! I’m quite happy with my XTool D1 but I see how this would be a great addition. I’m amazed at how fast it is! Another great video Skylar. Well done!
@@woodworkingwithSkyler thank you, my friend! I appreciate your input. The S1 looks impressive and with laser technology changing as fast as it is, maybe I’ll wait for a bit to see what XTool has up their sleeve.
Hi Skyler a very interesting and informative video. This is an impressive engraver for small objects and as you say great for craft shows. Also because of the short learning curve you could start an engraving business immediately with the right products. Thank you for the video looking forward to the next one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You are a very good reviewer. I am interested in this because of the size and ease of use. Thanks so much for your time in making such interesting videos which are amazingly helpful and detailed. I am becoming your number one fan, I guess there is competition though! 😊
Hi Skyler, it's Grover. My comment is slightly off topic. I tested the all 3 of your homemade products, the Beeswax wood finish, the Board Butter and the Carnauba Wood finish & Polish they are amazing. I'll be ordering more before you run out. Do you have a Chemistry degree , how did you come up with this formula ? Keep smiling and Happy Easter to you and your family
Very nice work, Your video is super helpful only one question does this work indoor without a external filter? Or do I need to purchase a air filter for indoor work, Thank you.
Skyler, Richard here. I have a quick question I make boxes like you do. I do some charcuterie boards and cutting boards and other small wood projects. I really want to buy a laser and I’m trying to figure out which would be best the F1 or the S2 right now I don’t think I have a need to cut out wood, I am also a scroll saw lover. you have so many lasers. What do you think would be my best choice?
Thanks for yet another informative video :) I just started doing research a few days ago and I wonder, can you engrave / cut more small items (e.g. more pens laying next to each other) in one go without the slide extension? Thanks and happy Easter
Click on the link in the description to go to Xtool page ( if you use my link I get a small commission, if you don’t, I don’t) then once on Xtool page go to menu on top left and choose trade in. Claim your reward. I am glad you like the coin, you are very welcome. The coins go a little slow on this machine as is only 2w for infrared and you need pretty high power and low speed for this particular material. The new F1 ultra Xtool announced will have 20W fiber laser which engrave metal way faster
Nice little engraver. Wonder how deep it is from vocal point to back of laser? For engraving the bottom of bowls, need to know max size bowl would fit? Thanks and stay safe.
you can set the machine on spacers above the bowl and laser the bottom.....not sure about the maximum depth capabilities of the bowl. I just tested....you can only go about 1" deep beyond the bottom of the machine taking out the metal plate, if you placed it on top of the bowl, so that won't work. If the bowl is a big one, you probably could set the machine inside the bowl and do it. Otherwise, if the bowl is set inside the area (where she placed all of the items in this video), the maximum diameter of the bowl would be approximately six inches and the maximum depth of the bowl would be around four inches. Hope I explained that well enough.
:) hi Richard. I didn’t think I needed one. Then one day I went to meet a buyer that bought my wecreat laser on Facebook marketplace. We met at a grocery store parking lot. When I gave him the laser I asked him if he ever used a laser before . He said he has a CO2 laser and the Xtool F1. Then he couldn’t stop talking about how good and fast the F1 is, how he takes it to craft shows… etc. in my mind I was thinking if he has a cO2 laser ( bigger, faster machine) how that he likes this F1 so much? It made me want one. When I got back to my car ( still in grocery store parking lot) I immediately went on my phone and emailed Xtool to see if they would send one in exchange for a review. 3 days later I had a new laser on my front porch:)
Sorry if I am asking something stupid, I am a relatively recent subscriber and love your channel. You did not talk about the software, did you cover that in another post? Also, you seem to know by heat the best settings, how do you get there?
Hi Jose. I made other videos showing the Xtool software. The software is free and very intuitive. The last software update ( I made a video about it) it gives you every setting you need for all Xtool machines for over 300 materials. Really easy
Nice engraving. Love the tree coaster.

Hi Derek. If you have the D1 you definitely don’t need the F1. S1 would be a big improvement or wait for the upcoming laser….

Great job. Thank you
Thank you too!
Great video! I was wondering the settings you used to cut 3mm basswood? I can’t find a good one.
Nice work, the machine is really amazing
It really is! Thank you
@@woodworkingwithSkyler I have recently started using mine for Glass, really nice simple kit, Great Video also.
Awesome little machine!
Sure is!
Can’t afford one, but it was interesting and a neat tool. Thanks for sharing Skyler.
You are most welcome
that's amazing, can the p2 do this?

Glad you enjoyed it
I love it; how do I invert the business card image? This is the F1.
It’s under adjustments right bottom corner
Great video, what is the biggest size it can engrave
4x4 in . With table extension 4x16

Yes you can....if you search the internet you will find source to buy a "tray" that will allow you to do multiple pens and hold them in position.
Nice great info
Thank you
Hello, if you use the 2W module on the S1 you should get exactly this kind of quality, or am I wrong?
Yes. Same result the difference is speed. F1 is WAY faster
@@woodworkingwithSkylerthank you ver6 much for your kind reply.
You sold me. Do you have a discount code? How can you get a credit for my purchase? P.S. - I love your challenge coin you sen me. Thank you.
