Paul I try & pour my pints without making sure the top gets dipped into the drink. Easy said than done when you have had a few then thinking goes a different direction Now I use a wet cotton Bud & go round inside occasionally
Peter, I brought a set of bottle brushes from eBay for under a fiver, and they're brilliant cleaning this part plus the other nooks and crannies on the tap attachment!
Great timing. I was thinking about this yesterday. I hadn't had a pint since last week and there was a blob of solid yeasty gunk that came out at first. It's all well and good the keg staying fresh for 30 days but the beer inside the line can't.
@@ratemybeer1 yeah but you can take as much care as you want, beer left in the line is gonna go dodgy in my opinion. Only thing to do is pour a bit out and bin it if you've not had any for a while.
My PDPro broke a few weeks back, annoying but they agreed to replace it so all good. I tend to find mould only appears if I leave the machine off after removing a keg and turning it off for a few days. Also just things like making sure you don’t dip the line/metal tap bit under the water line. The inside of the line will probably gunk up if you leave it between pours for a while (I tend to finish a keg in 2/3 days so never had that problem).
Never come across mould myself, always give my pro machine a dust blow once a month and wipe inside and give the tap a good clean each keg change..only me using it so takes me about a month to get through a keg.
I wonder if the machine suffers more if it's in an outside bar instead of say the living room or kitchen I'm just guessing really.i used to sterilize my old one

I clean my machine after each keg
Probably the best option tbh mate.
I always rinse mine with boiling hot water after every use before i put the new tube in and re connect it.
@@SimmoSups yeah did u see the mess of that 3rd machine tap... Not nice 😭
@@ratemybeer1 As you know i had the mould issue once so everytime now I rinse the tap until with boiling water cos it's rank.
@@SimmoSups yep makes sense mate...
This is what I do.

I'm going to clean that metal nozzle part after every use. That bit was gross 😝 😂
Yep that makes sense problem we have is changing half drunk and forgetting what's what with them. Definitely gonna be more careful looking forward...
