      I think the opposite. It’s confusing. You can’t be *from* a place you weren’t born in and never lived in. Most of these people were clearly born after 1948, so they were not born in these villages referred to and never lived there. How can you be *from* a place you were not born in and didn’t live in? Your parents can be from there, but you can’t be from a place you never lived.

    I feel sorry for these people, who've never seen the villages their parents or grandparents came from (except the old man), but what's really sad is the false hope that some day they will go back there. Of course many Jews were expelled from their homes in Jerusalem & Hebron & still can't get their property back.

    I am also from one of the villages mentioned in the video, Dayr Aban. It's an old village, dating back thousands of years, and is present in ottoman registers and the Bible. It was a large village of the subdistrict of jerusalem. It wasn't paved over but is near Beit Shemesh and has ruins since it was struck by artillery in 1948. The name is aramiac and the population has one of the oldest Christian and semitic bloodlines. 🇵🇸

    • @ya987
      @ya987 3 года назад +4

      @Ant B That's actually not true since there was an Operation associated with the depopulation of most if not all depopulated villages. The operation for this village was called 'Ha'ar' and the first strike was Israeli. The village was demolished via artillery despite not being a military installment against international law.

    • @YotamAlbalach
      @YotamAlbalach 10 месяцев назад

      @@ya987 The village dating back thousands of years is an old Jewish/Israelite village called Abenezer. You are talking about a territory that is a piece of Jewish history.
      And no, the first strike wasn't Israeli. It looks like you can read and understand the concept of "dates" so, just take a look yourself, the internet is free and full of information. Your leaders back in 48' thought it is a good idea, after they rejected any form of peace and negotiations, to blockade Jewish settlements with about 100,000 civilians in the very same area of Jerusalem and other parts of Judea and Samaria, and also Jewish settlements in the south of Israel. All Israeli operations where Arabs were displaced, took place well after that blockade and were a direct response to that act of war. Blockading 100,000 civilians is a universally accepted casus beli, a legitimate cause to go to war, defensively. The person you need to thank for starting this whole conflict, war and displacement is Al-Hussayni and the Arab League that made the foolish mistake of going to a war they ended up losing. Your leaders made the mistake, and the common people paid the price.
      The arab denial of the partition plan (as well as any negotiations) was in November 29th 1947.
      The blockade started in December 31st 1947.
      The displacements occured in:
      Operation Ha-Har started in October 1948.
      Operation Dalet March 10th 1948.

    Next week Corey Gil-Schuster is headed to Germany to ask the descendants of Sudeten and Silesian and Danzig and East Prussian refugees what they know about the towns and farm villages they "came from". ....We mustn't let bygones be bygones for the sake of peace! Yes, let's start a campaign among former Volksdeutsch to recall the places they were expelled from as a result of Germany's wars of aggression against their neighbors! Maybe they should campaign for a "right of return" to their former residences and farmland.
    After he is done in Germany, Gil-Schuster will then head to France and meet with some former Pied-Noir and their descendants to ask THEM what they know about the towns and farms they were ethnically cleansed from, fifty to sixty years ago, after Algerian independence. Many of them had lived for generations in Algeria and Tunisia and had developed commercial farms and towns there.
    800,000 Jews were living in peace (and at peace with most of their neighbors) in Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, etc. until the 1940s and '50s when they were DRIVEN out by the Arab and Muslim fanatics that Mr. Gil-Schuster currently serves. Will he ask any of them if they remember the life they had there, after having lived centuries there? Will he ask THEM if they wish THEIR plight to be mentioned every time people mention the Arab so-called "refugees"?
    I'm an American, so can those of you who live there -- and speak either Hebrew or Arabic -- please tell me if their is a Hebrew word (or an Arabic word) for CONTEXT?!? (As in, historical context for the way things are now?)
    If you wish to live in peace with your neighbors, try not killing them (or plotting with others to kill them)! ....People can only live in peace with others if they agree that religion and state (and general education and state, as well) are SEPARATED; if they learn that the SOLE PURPOSE of a civil state is to keep the peace -- and NOT to foster culture, religion, art, "morals", or even the economic welfare of the people (those matters are PRIVATE concerns to be handled by VOLUNTARY cooperative efforts.); but simply to keep the peace and adjudicate disputes that arise even among honest men, THEN peace can be had among Sunni, Shiites, Jews, Christians, Druze, Buddhists, atheists, everyone!
    People must accept that public government is, in its essence, FORCE. And that force should only be wielded against those who initiate force or fraud (which is an indirect form of force) against others (including matters of contractual dispute and "tort" injury). If you want peace among men, learn to live and let live and forego any endeavor to FORCE the "improvement" of others' lives -- whether morally or materially.

      In 1948 the Arab armies were besieging Jerusalem and the nascent state was desperate to relieve the Jewish inhabitants of the city from starvation. This involved clearing some of the villages which had been used as bases to attack the convoys.
      All the Jewish inhabitants of the part of Jerusalem held by the Arabs were expelled from their homes. This gave birth to the idea of an "Arab" East Jerusalem.

    I have Palestinian friends who are right now live in Hebron but both of their Parents actually live in Beersheba for generations until they being expelled in 1948. I heard their stories on how did their Parents being expelled. They said one day in the morning, their Parents had a breakfast & suddenly a family of Ukrainian Jewish refugees came accompanied by 5 Israeli soldiers & give them two words which are either leave or die. And then they asked them why are they want to steal their own house, guess what the Ukrainian Jewish refugees answered? “God said this house are ours & he allowed me to steal it!”

    Definition of a refugee according to UNRWA - “persons whose normal place of residence was Palestine (which was ONLY a geographical region and not a sovereign state) during lst June 1946 to 15th May 1948; and who lost homes and livelihoods because of the 1948 conflict WHICH WAS STARTED BY SIX ARAB ARMIES WHO CHOSE TO ATTACK ISRAEL IN 1948.
    UNRWA: “A person IS NOT A REFUGEE if he or she has acquired a new nationality” for instance, these “refugees” are citizens under the Palestinian Authority, under Hamas in Gaza, or are citizens of any country in Europe, Middle East, USA, Africa, Asia and so on…..
    The greatest damage the world is doing to the Palestinians is accepting the lie about their ancient and historic homeland which never existed in any recorded history as a sovereign Palestinian state, country, or nation.
    Arab refugees who escaped to the West Bank of Jordan (in reality JUDEA AND SAMARIA) and Gaza were approximately 800,000 in 1948 and 1967.
    Please don’t talk about ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Arabs aka 1964 Palestinians; numbers don’t lie; people do…..
    Palestinian census: 4.7 million in West Bank and Gaza ...
    www.timesofisrael.com/palestinian-census- 2020
    The number of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip has risen from 2,895,683 in 1997 to 4,780,978 in 2017, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday.

      One might well argue that Palestinians have a stronger cultural identity now than they did back in 1948. Admittedly, it is still hard to draw a distinction between them and citizens of the surrounding Arab states. The refugee status is probably the most defining national characteristic.

      also before israel got built, most palestinian were linked more to their own city, than their "palestinian identity"
      some weren't even part of specific clan/family.
      they still aspire to come back to their land they got expulsed from, those why they won't accept the nakbah, I believe you can understand that if you were expelled from your home, you would not accept it if it was because of a war. its their right to not accept it.
      some did move on, but its hard for them as they are not in a recognized state (west bank) so they have no reason to remove their refugee status.(even if they do, they will still be under occupation in an unrecognized state.)

    No blacksmiths, merchants, landlords among their ancestors? I think this might be why Corey pushed the farming question. If people are living in camps in Israel this is not right. I don't know the reason why some seem to live reasonably well in the West Bank and others are stuck in camps, but there should be a solution. Will the Palestinians still want all the lands back? Surely, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't take humanitarian actions and give them the best conditions you can.

      Israel and Palestine are the exact same place. When the Zios invaded from Poland they did not have a name to call Palestine. All the first Zios used the historical name "Palestine". The mandate was named after Palestine because the Zios had not invented the name "Israel" yet. They did not know what to call the new state they were trying to steal from the Palestinians. They could not call Palestine by the old Roman name of "Judea" because then the local non-jews would be called "Jews". They could not call Palestine the "Land Of Zion" which would make the locals "Zionists". The Zios had no choice but to use the ahistorical term "Israel" found in Jewish mythology. Many Zios are totally unaware how the "Land Of Israel" game materialized .The Zios are clueless.

Nobody ever told them they could go back after two weeks. Her mother never left the village in the first place and got gunned down by IDF. You're literally minimizing other peoples trauma to make yourself feel better about benefiting from the human rights abuses that went down in 1948.

    I watched it till about 8:00 and it was enough for me. 1. No body of them are a refugee. A refugee is one who were expelled from his land by force. They are too young to be refugees. Their parents certainly are. In that way I'm also a refugee since my ancestors were expelled by force from their land.
    2. The guy at 8:00 was asked where his parents were born and he answered - deir Rafat. He also was asked where is it and answered that it is located north of Jerusalem. Well, this village is located South-West to Jerusalem. Further more, it still exists till today and its Arab citizens still live there. They and many other Arabs were convinced by Israel in 1948 not to leave among many other Arabs who still live peacefully in their original towns and villages.
    That's the reason that I stopped watching the rest of it. Enough lies for 8 minutes.

    • @samiabe8686
      @samiabe8686 3 года назад

      Or you got tired of hearing the truth after 8 minutes. And yes, if their parents were displaced then they most definitely suffered by being deprived of the land they would have inherited (not to mention the loss of livelihood due to their parents literally needing to rebuild their lives in a new city from the ground up).
      Also this is just one generation of separation from the displaced. Don’t you know that zionists believe the land is rightfully theirs due to a displacement that occurred over 200 generations in the past? Do you think they remembered the city their ancestors grew up in let alone the geographical location? The hypocrisy is laughable man.

      @Starhopper The Zios invented you in a lab in Europe less than 100 years ago to replace the old model Jews who they despised. They were called the Yiddish speaking people and they lived in Eastern Europe. There were millions of them, 80% of world Jewry originate from the old Russian, Hungarian & Austrian empires in Eastern Europe. That is why Bibi looks like Putin. Unlike you, the Palis are like any other national group. The land is who they are, LITERALLY, which is why they are called Palestinians and not Russians, Polish, American, Moroccan, etc like your Jews. Corey did a whole bunch of videos on the ethnicities of Israel which explains the ethnic origins of your Jews. They literally come from everywhere, mainly Slavic and Germanic areas of East Europe like you . Ask your granddaddy. Read a book...... history is not your friend.

    • @chugalongway01
      @chugalongway01 3 года назад +2

      @Mohamed Mostafa Zionism is white, not "Jewish" supremacy. Defining Israeli apartheid as "Jewish supremacy" is a coup not only for Zionists, but for anti-Semites and white supremacists everywhere. Erroneously labelling of zionist white-supremacism as "Jewish supremacism" by JVP and B'Tselem puts wind in the sails of white supremacists like David Duke. The ZZZ = KKK

    • @chugalongway01
      @chugalongway01 3 года назад

      @Starhopper Hey Vancier wannabe.... the first Euro Zios knew that the Palis are indigenous to Palestine. They also knew that there was no exile by the Romans or Babylonians. The Polish father of the Jewish State said that the locals are the original Jews from Judea and that they never left Palestine, all they did was convert to Christianity and later Islam. That is a fact that the Zios ignore. In fact, the Zios have to ignore about 99.99% of the history of Palestine. The first Hebrew occupation of Palestine was only a minute episode in the history of a Arab country and the current Euro/Khazarian occupation does not even count. . Your history is in the Land Of The Yids and the Jews even created the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews which documents over 1000 years of actual Jewish history.....unlike the fairytales the Zios regurgitate, which are only metaphors found in Jewish mythology , not anthropological history. The Zios have to use biology instead of the historical account to create a history in a test tube .......since you have no real history, not one iota, in Palestine. I bet you can't find one historical document, map or artifact which shows a geopolitical area with defined borders called the 'Land Of Israel", not one. There are countless for Palestine. History is not your friend.
