I’ve tried other builds for my mag sorc but I keep going back to crafty and grace with chudan + DDF or markyn. Wretched and RC are good sets but they just don’t fit magsorc the way I want them to. 53k mag with 20k+ stam just feels right for all circumstances in my opinion.
I use the same , Ancient Grace , Crafty Alfiq, mighty chudan, Markyn ring of majesty , 1 trainee . I also tried other builds but find this is so sweet my shields make me literally un killable since you get major resolve from chudan and minor resolve from vigour . Very tanky and still have hella max mag and spell damage

I would suggest working out something with master ice staff on the backbar. It's a lot of DMG and DMG reduction. You could pair way of fire with draugrkin or vateshran inferno.

Thanks! It depends on the setup your friend has. If he's a melee brawler kind of player and has an aoe ult and you two coordinate ults well, it's a good idea to try negate. If your friend is a kite spec as well (like rollerblade or sorc) it's best to stick with overload. If you don't use overload weapons expert is not worth it, better go for master at arms, deadly aim, fighting finesse, ironclad or duelist's rebuff.
Question could I use balorgh or kjalnar instead of chudan? Then use boundless storm and alliance spell pots as my source of major sorcery and prophecy? It also gives major intellect so I can use a damage bb set like rally instead of wretched. Or is crit surge too much of a big heal? Does Crit surge make a difference in survivability in magsorc. Is it a game changing heal?

The build is updated on the website, very similar to this video. Noting much changed for sorc. Currently I run rallying cry Vitality ddf chudan, with crushing weapon as spammable instead of crushing shock, but it's preference.
im trying out imperium wrath 3 jewelry "(2 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage (3 items) Adds 325 Weapon and Spell Damage to your ranged direct damage abilities" with wretched and maybe balorgs to pump out more spell damage and pen maybe vate sharan resto back bar for more recovery. what do you think?
Vateshran resto is not worth it, it's better to backbar vitality. Imperium wrath is ok and I've tried it out as well, so if you want to make a build with that it should work.
I haven't noticed, aside from the occasional shield and streak bugs where the input happens but there's a random 1s delay before casting, it's nothing consistent but it can be annoying if it's at the wrong time

2x Monster set - Head/Shoulder 1x Trainee - Chest 5x set 1 - 2x Frontbar Weapons + Leg/Boot/Glove 5x set 2 - 2x Backbar Weapons + Necklace/Ring/Ring 1x Mythic - Belt You can swap your mythic into any other body armor or jewelry slot, then move the 5 piece around, it doesn't need to be a belt. Just an example. There is a total of 14 slots. 7 armor, 3 jewelry, 2 front weapon, 2 back weapon.
For the builds in this guide you can replace it by a second Trainee piece if stacking max Magicka or a 1 piece druids braid if stacking max health. More info here: eso-pvp-builds.com/faq/
Alfiq and wretched Vitality are both very accessible then. You can run the max mag build in this video with some changes: You can replace chudan by 1pc baron thirsk and 1pc swarm mother. Replace the mythic by 2nd piece trainee. Put some more attribute points in health so you get 28k+. Replace elemental drain by hurricane.
Wretched Vitality is a good set for magsorc so you can't go wrong there. I don't like nmg on magsorc because it's just for barspace but I need my sets to carry DMG, sustain or healing since magsorc toolkit is mid. Plus elemental drain gives a nice bit of extra sustain and procs wretched Vitality. I'm not sure what you mean with ice shield.

I Play draugrkins grip combined with rallying cry and gaze of sithis mythic this hits like a truck when you got the vateshran staff

the skills on the frone barkgh and the bactchkh barkgh coupled with the gearkgh make for a really good build

What about Spell Strategist over Dragurkin for the Max Health build?
Draugrkin is more damage, but if you don't have it then ye spell strategist is an option, as well as clever alchemist.
How about engine guardian on the health sorc for some extra healing/sustain?

Yeah just sustain, both are good though so use what you like.

Vateshran resto is not worth it, it's better to backbar vitality. Imperium wrath is ok and I've tried it out as well, so if you want to make a build with that it should work.

you can do this but you'll be squishier. I advise saving a vamp bite on the armory station.
