Hey, this video was very helpful. I am however still kind of stumped in how to choose two sets that work well together. I'm playing a stamblade and want to run something alongside a master's bow and balorgh's.
On roller builds like that the most commonly chosen sets are rallying cry, night mother's gaze and wretched vitality. You can check out my website to get an idea of how nb builds look: eso-pvp-builds.com . Night mother's gaze works well on roller nb because if you have to apply major breach with a skill beforehand, it's a big warning sign to your enemy. Plus it gives you an extra skillslot. True, I should've mentioned Dragon's Appetite as well! I would put it in A tier, as indeed it's a good damage buff though I don't particularly care about the heal much and generally I haven't used it in years, hence why I didn't think of it.

Hi MalcolM saw your vid and written builds on your sorc also watched this video through. You use Draugkin grip on your sorc but im struggling to see how that works as i assumed its only good with dots lots of instances. Does crushing shock make it worth using
Yes, crushing shock makes it worth using because it has 3 damage instances + up to 6 damage instances from the status effects you can proc with the charged trait.
Till I saw the video i thought that crit isnt the best main option for pvp. Hetr are a few sets in your list that boost crit. So is crit worth it in pvp?
@steroitzz stats with these sets, 5medium 2 heavy. Plus bloodthirstyx3 it's extremely strong. You can use x3 weapon spell glyphs due to dk passives on ult. It's just strong. Very very strong. And I don't even use corrosive because most die to leaps anyway.
I also have seen it being run on other specs than ganking, but I never found it worth it myself. I'd rather look for "safer" offensive sets or just some of the many stacked defensive sets with offensive enchants/traits/mundus etc.
@@MalcolM. yh everything can work for sure, for titan to work it's good to run 33k min health and stage 3 vampire, I loved it with vampire claw as a spammable on magden or magplar 🔥

Well we already discussed the support sets before, things like rallying cry, phoenix moth thurge, olorime/spc, transmutation ... With the mara's balm nerf you might want to look at another selfish set such as pariah (someone hinted you to that in my discord as well if I recall correctly) or you can just run an arcanist and then you should be safe running two support sets instead of a selfish set and a support set. As usual if you're in a very organised group it's probably better to avoid selfish sets alltogether on any class.
I know crimson twilight was nerfed but at 31k HP the tooltip is 4,337 DMG, if you’re outnumbered and that proc hits healing you for 100% of dmg done, doesn’t sound too bad still
Can i substitute titanborn for Stun favor set? I like pvp so much, and im search for a strong option because i dont have Dlcs. And If stuns is good, what set is great to combo with
I would advise against running defensive sets on an arcanist (outside of some really good ones like rallying cry), because it already has a lot of survivability.
Thoughts on ashen grip? You mentioned Way of Fire whick is whats compared to Ashen Grip usually. It is a bigger burst and craftable. Also another question: does the change made multiple damaging proc sets to proc all at once reverted? I came back to the game after about a year and people seem to use multiple of these kind of sets together like deadlands assassin and caluurion on nightblades
Way of Fire has a completely different function to Ashen Grip. Ashen is melee only. The whole point of Way of Fire is that you pair it with a weapon damage DOT like poison injection or rending slashes and get the constant extra fire damage hitting enemy on top of the DOT damage from the skill. So you end up with way more pressure damage with Fire than with Ashen. Fire was meta on Stamsorc DOT build for a very long time. Paired with Poison injection, Master Duel Wield, Rending slashes, Draugrkin and Marselook - its a very popular build. Ashen itself isn't too bad - there's just harder hitting burst procs out there. Red Mountain for instance hits about 4 times as hard.
If you run crushing shock with a poison enchant (or double dot poison) and the charged trait, it's always worth combining that with draugrkin no matter the class.
kind of both? I mean crafty alfiq for example is very class specific (only magsorc) but when you compare it to sets in general for other classes (rallying cry, wretched vitality, daedric trickery, dragon's appetite etc) it's also not stat dense at all.
Thanks! As I mentioned in the list, it's one of the most commonly used and best crit sets for both crit chance and damage. So if you have a build that focuses on that it's 100% worth considering.
Hi Malcom, if I using on dk rally, acuity, markyn, Bloodspawn it's good gear? Or swap anything? I looking you website but not understand what better for gear on dk for pvp, thanks for you answer
Hi there, those sets should work well for dk. Combining acuity with corrosive is a good way to make burst on dk, and rallying cry (or daedric trickery) will give you the defense you need for open world pvp.
Great video!! I do wonder why you left Ice Furnace out tho? Maybe you mentioned it and i didnt catch. Or do i feel like thay is a better set then i think?????? I also running mag warden
I didn't mention it. It's specific to magdens, who then specifically have to run a frost build. Too niche to include in this tier list. It's a good sets if you have a lot of aoe frost damage though!
@@MalcolM. I have a masters Ice staff and Ice reach is my main span. I have Frostbite as my 2nd set so they play well eachother. Not meta but it's a fun build
You can go with a brawler (convergence+ master 2h + plaguebreak) like any other class can, I haven't tried bombing on it yet though. It's perhaps interesting to use the stationary morph of tide kings gaze as it procs convergence
Probably in B tier when it comes to effectiveness if you have a right build with it. But it's very rarely used since you need a gapcloser, which limits it to sorc (streak) and templar (toppling) and some other nice setups.
I like the concept a lot and I ran it every now and then in the past, but nowadays I generally avoid it due to the drawback (having to run after the pool in case it spawns somewhere you don't want to go) compared to other sets like those mentioned in S tier. I'll do a tier list for those other sets as well later on, I avoided those now because the video would be too long in my opinion.
Great video! Thank you 🙏 Wanted to ask - what you think about these sets: - dragon's appetite (on dw stamsorc for example) - shadow of the red mountain (decent proc burst damage or nah?) - poisonous serpent (similar tooltip as the way of fire but other condition for proc)
All three are good so A tier sets I think. Someone else asked about dragons appetite as well, it's a good DMG buff but I have always preferred other things over it (for instance procs like way of fire or maras balm on DW stamsorc, maybe it's better than maras balm now idk). Shadow of the mountain is as far as I know mostly run in duels and is a strong set there, can be good for open world too but again I've always preferred other sets over it because of the unreliability there. Poisonous serpent I did think about adding as well, but I see it used too little and the poison dot requirement is a little too niche to add in the already long list of generally applicable sets.
@@MalcolM. Thx for reply! I'm playing bow sorc now, stam spec: rele, rallying, magma, markyn or coil, vdsa bow Have you tried bow sorc? I’m watching this in hopes to see you mention what some of these arcs have been wearing. I’ve been told it’s Hrothgar, but I have my doubts. Lf the arc secret sauce 🌝
Why does everyone sleep on Ancient Dragonguard it definitely belongs somewhere on this list doublebarring it for a starter craftable set it’s a good set
I dont understand what everyone sees in daedric trickery. Not being able to depend on what buffs youre getting is suicide. The health bonus is the only good thing about the set.
I’ve run DT a substantial amount on Stam DK. It’s probably my favorite back bar, as it is very strong, but mainly because it has a unique feel to it. If you don’t know, the buffs stack, so you’ll always have 2 buffs and very briefly, 3 buffs (2-3 seconds). Major protection carrying across both bars is a huge survival uptick. Major heroism is one of the best buffs in PvP, let alone for DK. Having ultimate means more damage and more survivability. Both of the healing buffs are huge. When they stack, healing is insanely strong. And lastly, the expedition. It may look “meh” on paper, but in practice it’s probably my favorite buff. Having that speed consistently, makes everything feel very fluid. All in all, DT is a great set in my option.
I was a bit on the fence on where to put this set. I mentioned it on A tier as it is a good set, just unsure if it held up to the impact that rallying cry or vitality have on a build for example. I suppose we could call it S tier for nocp cyro for sure if it would work there, but ZOS forgor 💀
I think there's value in showing B and A tier first too, because many people already know the sets in S tier as they are widely used. The more interesting ideas might come from the lower tiers.
You need to hire someone to talk in your videos or at least add subtitles, I swear sometimes I heard "arqwweqwdoqhwdhsad" instead of actual words. Otherwise decent video
gotta love when someone thinks they know what sets out of 1000 possibilities are best lol - truth is that there is no best set there are only best set for you and your playstyle
An encouraging, yet incorrect take… There are meta sets that outperform lesser sets in shear numbers. If your play style is to have worse stats than your counterparts, than you may have a point.

I'm playing bow sorc now, stam spec: rele, rallying, magma, markyn or coil, vdsa bow
Have you tried bow sorc?
I wonder if way of fire will work better than rele in bgs on console (harder to tap target) or not? Or some other set like venomous smite idk
Cons of way of fire: gotta run 3 heavy pieces and I'll need to drop vdsa bow (or run 2 heavy 2 light 2 med) and run engine guardian or 2 piece recovery probably
On paper rele is better - dmg, med armor, but idk how good it is actually in my case. However rele can't crit and I sit on 40%+ crit and I'm khajiit, will be more crit with minor force from dark deal as well when update comes to console
@@summerbrezNot who you asked, but I play bowsorc on console, and I've found Relequen to be vastly superior to Way of Fire. Rallying Cry and Rele synergize nicely because all the crit. I'm sitting at ~ 50% crit chance, and over 5K dmg before some of my other buffs. If you can focus on one person, the damage becomes overwhelming
@@k-3402 thx for the info
Well maybe you right
For my playstyle though I found way of fire much better
I played for quite a while with both of them and way of fire is a clear winner at least for me personally
informative. Thanks!
Eternal Vigor 5 piece doesn't work in no cp cyrodiil.
Are you sure? I haven't used in nocp cyro myself (I usually go with amber plasm if I want a double bar sustain set), but this source mentions that eternal vigor works there: forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/580810/no-proc-no-cp-set-list/p1
@@MalcolM. yes I'm 100% sure it doesn't work. 4 pieces work, the 5th piece bonus sustain doesn't work.
@@exoib all right thanks for letting me know!
@@MalcolM. Thanks for the amazing video ❤️
Does Draugrkin work in no CP? Does anyone know?
Draugrkin does not work in nocp.
great vid appreciation and that
I thought he said "scavenging the mice". 😆
EDIT: Omg he actually wrote it in the time stamp...
I love parioh and cryodell Crest for tankieness in pvp and I like twice born with deadly strike OK. both sets of sets lol I don't use the meta and I still whoop in pvp
I apricate b tier for ancient dragonguard, also using he
I dont understand what everyone sees in daedric trickery.
Draugerkin Relequen sorc is sooo much fun
Mechanical Acuity can be cheesed/procced with Essence of gradual ravage health. And two points in snakeblood.
Shattered fate isn't S tier?
I was a bit on the fence on where to put this set. I mentioned it on A tier as it is a good set, just unsure if it held up to the impact that rallying cry or vitality have on a build for example. I suppose we could call it S tier for nocp cyro for sure if it would work there, but ZOS forgor 💀
Ravaged is about to sore in price. Bis back on a certain build
gg dude
Good list, crimson oath is another one that was missed, easy S tier for small scale.
I was actually completely unaware this set was used in smallscales at all.
@@MalcolM. yea it's a hidden gem set. basically back bar spriggans for your entire group that ignores LOS, height, and stealth, but can be purged.
Stuhns wit bsw 🔥
Dk d swings?
I have a dumb silly cheap sorc set up, using knight slayer. Its op asf in pvp peoole just sleep on it.
Trickery more of an A tier
Top
You forgot dragons appetite
that I did
Love this, but would have preferred S tier first (nobody benefits from seeing these in reverse order).
I think there's value in showing B and A tier first too, because many people already know the sets in S tier as they are widely used. The more interesting ideas might come from the lower tiers.
Yo
Yo
You missed a few good sets.
very informative thank you
This is rather a top pvp sets nobody use lmao bro tf
do you have any suggestions to improve this list?
Spinners/spriggans, war maiden, dagon, in B tier but briarheart and armor of truth in A tier. bad list
Based take
You need to hire someone to talk in your videos or at least add subtitles, I swear sometimes I heard "arqwweqwdoqhwdhsad" instead of actual words. Otherwise decent video
gotta love when someone thinks they know what sets out of 1000 possibilities are best lol - truth is that there is no best set there are only best set for you and your playstyle
All right have fun running vampire lord and trinimac
pull up to cyrodial in adept rider and netch's touch
An encouraging, yet incorrect take… There are meta sets that outperform lesser sets in shear numbers. If your play style is to have worse stats than your counterparts, than you may have a point.
@@NotoriousPJG only matters is ya a sweaty run v xaaaaaa lol while the rest of us run in groups and or a zerg and can run whatever we like and have fun doing it
@@MalcolM. keep trying cause ya know i am right - playstyle is king and a great player can wear any set in the game and work most fools
Im New in the game but u maybe forget Medusa Set ore what you guys think ?
