My quilting friend one day said she quilts by the 15-45 method. She explained, “I set the timer for 45 minutes of sewing, then when it goes off I do 15 minutes of housework)emptying dishwasher, folding laundry, etc). Then I feel good because by the end of the day I get a lot of sewing done and some housework done too!”❤
Those checks do make one feel great don't they. You go girl!! This has motivated me to do the same things to help me get wips and ufo's off my mind! Thanks for the inspiration.... Love, love, love that bag!
Good job of getting so much crossed off your list. I have to make lists too, just so I can feel like I am getting something done and stay focused. My mind seems to never want to shut down thinking about things to make, so lists help me stay focused. I had watched the acorn potholder video and have made some of them, I like the look of them being quilted, but it does make them flat...lol
Wow! Di, you work circles around me! I love ALL of your projects! I am not as organized as you! Wish I was! The leaf runner is perfect for fall and Thanksgiving! Your bag is so big, watch out, if you fill it up, you might not be able to carry it! I have made about 15 of those pillow cases for kids. I like using bright and fun fabrics and the kids are always pleased! Thanks again! Get some rest!
New sub referred by Tracy! I’m sampling a bunch of videos since I can’t sleep. The retreat sounds amazing and I hope it is a huge success. 3M Scotchgard would help get the dust off anything you put in an overhead bin. Spraying the bag after sewing is best according to my friend who worked on the Scotchgard team at 3M. Please spray either outdoors or in an area with excellent ventilation to protect your lungs if you use it.
Making a list is such a Great idea. And then setting a timer for only 20 minutes is super Great. I set mine for 1 hour and I get very board and distracted. I like the quilted acorn.
The acorn potholders are darling! 🩷 Quilt them if you have time. I liked the idea of the towel for the back. Have fun at your retreat. Would you have time to quilt the tablerunner there?
I love a list. It lets me know what I’ve achieved. Your acorn pot holders are really cute. I like the quilted version better. Have a wonderful time at your quilt retreat.
I think I’m going to try the timer! I’ve been struggling to finish up the quilting on a queen size quilt using my domestic machine! Have to get it done by the end of the month because my husband is having shoulder replacement surgery on Dec 2 and I know I will be busy helping him with his recovery and taking care of my 86 year old father who lives with us! I love all of your videos!❤
Watched replay. You got alot accomplished! I’m going to try your method of using a timer. Your chicken timers are so cute . I think the acorn potholders are nice quilted and un quilted and your poppins bag turned out fantastic. I’m sure it’ll be an item of envy at retreat. Have fun and safe travels. I would be keeping it with me under the seat.
Love the pot holder. I like the brown thread. Love the table runner. Is there a pattern for the triangle quilt? I like the quilted one. The bag is so beautiful. I love the fabric and the style. I love hanging out with you. You are so fun. I live in Gilbert Arizona, and we finally have weather in the 70's and not the 100's.

So great to spend time with you! I love all the projects, but that bag is beautiful, fabric is sooo fun! Potholders are cute both ways! Have a great rest of your day! 🥰

I get cold and I haven’t had chemo or take blood thinners AND we don’t have any snow but I have a heater by my sewing machine, my stitching chair, devotional reading desk and my office desk. Yup four heaters in one large room 😅
Love The chicky timers. I’m leave the one set of potholders as is-puffy . Thanks for showing how to make the pillow cases. The bat quilt was adorable . Someone will be so grateful for the quilt to keep him warm. Thanks for your laughter and enjoyment when you checked off the each project. You have beautiful handwriting. Blessings 😊
Your grandsons bat quilt is perfect for a young man. The colors are fabulous. You work extremely well with patterns and fabric choices. I like how you give yourself 20 minutes. ❤🎉😊
Hi Di, I love this video!! Please do more of these and also making quilts from your left over blocks from other projects would also be awesome to watch! You are very inspiring! Even with polyester batting, which sometimes I put in a quilt with cuddle backing, has a little bit of shrinkagefrom the fabrics. thanks for watching Gigi.😊♥️🐥
Love the nice weekend 'work off'. I've sewn for so many years, fashion first and piecing for 30. I've used the 10 20 30 method to get things done since our dearly departed friend Nancy Z shared the process over 30 yrs ago. I truly do need to word up or excel up? a printable listing page, as so very often my head turns to something else, even while I'm telling myself NO! Get this finished. OMG we are only human. BTW Quilted will keep them nicely together after many washings.

My sister lives in Idaho, a small town out of Moscow, and it was her birthday the 4th. She got snow. Uck. Love the use of the timer, I will need to try that. Also I do quilts for all me 1st cousin's. Something my grandma would have loved to have done for all her grandchildren. (31)Only 4 more to go. Thank you for the tutorial.

I really enjoyed this video . I like to use the same type of list and tick off the " finishes" as I go. And on my current list are two pillow cases so I was so happy for the refresh on how to do them.
Good morning Di, I did watch the acorn potholder video, which was great. I like how you showed us how to read colors on your Gobble Gobble quilt( which is adorable). I could not find the link to the acorn template and pattern instructions, is there a separate link I need to copy and paste or click on in bedded in the transcript? Thank you and if I missed the link I apologize. 😆🥰
I like the little round basket on your sewing table, is there a pattern? I guess it's a thread/bitty fabrics holder for your trash bin... it seems to stand up so well!

There is a link for the template under this video. If it’s gone, because it was over 2 years ago, it’s pretty easy to draw your own. The video is helpful. TFW😊♥️🐥
I like the potholders either way. Do they have some sort of insulate in them. Also, although I have made pillowcases, I haven’t used the technique you described. I wish you would have shown how to do it rather than just saying you have all done this and moving on. Nice video.
