And I would love a GG rework of Hurler in the near future. RMC'ing it would be cool, but it's been done a lot, and I think the Hurler already does things differently enough from a lot of woodies that I think just smoothing and amplifying it would be great.

@@maincoasters would be a good idea, maybe vekoma could experiment with s&s to build a 4d, freefly x or axis tilt coaster (this will not happen but still) realistically, I don't think a tilt coaster would be a good idea bc GP will think it's dangerous and not safe, and with what had happened with fury Cedar Fair probably won't want to install any coasters that look dangerous, since the GP will overreact as per usual.
i sure do love a video involving Carowinds! I love both predictions including the power splash because the Carolina weather can be described in one word: P A I N. Keep up the amazing work in these awesome videos!
Here’s what I’m thinking. 2025: Mack Power Splash in Rip Roaring Rapids Area. 2026: Massive GCI wooden coaster bigger than Mystic Timbers in the Dino’s Alive plot. 2029: Hurler gets converted into an RMC Hybrid with a beyond vertical drop that can rival Maverick (with the lift structure used on Wildcats Revenge) and has a similar layout to Wildcat’s Revenge and Twisted Timbers with mixed elements from both of them but will also have a stall, a wave turn, and a quad down.
Please just give Carowinds a log flume. I don't want a MACK Power Splash or anything else that basically just moves in a forward and backward direction and giving a single splash down. Either build a serious water ride or a serious coaster, not a phoned in version of both. Give the park a dedicated water ride. The park gets WAY too hot to not have water rides. Might I recommend a log flume with a show building with some sets and practical effects that build off of the Copperhead Strike story. Just imagine how popular that would be at Carowinds. They'd almost HAVE to add a second water ride just because it would be too popular for its own good.
I think the reason why Carowinds isn’t getting anything next year is because Fury was down for a while (when fury was down,I heard the attendance was really low)
I finally visited Carowinds for the first time a little over a week ago and absolutely loved it! It is absolutely my favorite Amusement park now. I haven't been to Dorney park since I was a kid growing up in NE PA, still can't believe anybody outside of that area has even heard of that park. I don't do big coasters, so I LOVED the Woodstock Express, which I expected to be rough, but wasn't. The new Aeronautica Landing looks amazing, and makes me think the park is going to continue to be upgraded. you talk about needing a water ride as if the water park was separate admission, but you can always just walk in to that area. It's a nice water park, but a bit scattered due to the way it has grown, 2 wave pools is odd, and it needs path sprayers! A water coaster would be nice too. They sure like their B&Ms, do you think a highly themed themed Intamin like Hagrid's or Velocicoaster could be possible?
Actually, if Snoopy's Soap Box Racers at Kings Island becomes a success, I think that will be Carowinds' replacement for Dinosaurs Alive. That land is technically located in the Camp Snoopy section, after all.
I agree Brandon on the dive for Carowinds. Regardless of how we feel about them, that coaster type simply works for the park and the GP. As a matter of fact, I believe every CF park will eventually have one. If a water coaster is going on the rapids site, I could also see them taking out the palladium and placing a dive on that end. It would make for great visuals entering the park.
As a coaster enthusiasts, I absolutely love a new fresh and creative Dive Coaster, and BM's new Flying Coaster would be amazing!! Every time I get off a dive coaster, I'm just smiling from ear to ear.
Brandon, it was great riding Fury with you the day it re-opened. I got some thoughts on what Carowinds could do especially after seeing the attendance drop from Fury being down. They are realizing as we speak that they NEED another attendance boosting, crowd pleasing, big, thrilling ride. I doubt it will happen but here goes. First: Hurler is only going to be good 1 more time in it's life and that's when Carowinds ignites it and has a huge bonfire. So any woodie to replace it or go somewhere else in the park is fine with me. That Mack Power Splash would fit there perfectly. Put a 100-120ft GCI in Dino Alive plot. Next: Get Nighthawk outta here. That ride was crap on paper and Vekoma still chose to build 3 of them. Replace it with a Gerstlauer Infinity with the light package. Make it 120ft and its now the third tallest coaster right in the center of the park, it would gleam with those lights. Last: But certainly not least and this is the new attendance draw. Vortex....GONE. Rapid ride....GONE. Paladium....GONE. Now with all those gone, imagine Aire Force One on steroids. The tallest ground-up RMC with a 220ft lift-hill. Use vortex land for a station, brake run, and pre-lift section. The lift-hill rises up over the midway with the canopy. Now the drop and all of the coaster elements take up the rapids ride and paladium land bringing the coaster right up against the entrance just toying with your emotions as you enter the park. Then a low top-hat back over the midway, kind of like Fury going over the entrance, into the break run. Tell me that seeing Fury and this new RMC running together right as your coming into the park wouldn't send your adrenaline into overload. Carowinds has some opportunities that don't come around to amusement parks often if ever. They have some crap rides that would create prime real estate right in the middle of the park. I keep hearing that Carowinds is on its way to becoming the Cedar Point of the South. If that's the case and only the best comes to Cedar Point, then I guess the best better start coming to Carowinds.
A B&M Dive coaster is the perfect next coaster especially for that big coaster to put in Carowinds skyline because they really need it. Also a Power Splash coaster is must need water ride for Carowinds because it gets hot in the Carolinas then it’s perfect for those mild cold months not to used the water element (in the Rip Roarin’ Rapids old plot of land. It will have something to help for theme to go with Fury theme for the Thrill Zone area)
went to carrowinds for first time last thurs/fri and was looking to see if Brandon was there and I could find him, I didnt. Was so happy Fury was opened and had been watching this channel for updates the last two months. Funny enough our 1st ride on Fury we had 3 of us and some guy jumps in with us and turns out it was the Fury guy who has over 10k rides on it. Anyway great park, front row on Fury was so good, Copperhead was awesome, No lines, park was clean, food was solid, overall very good. loved Afterburn cause I'm a bigger guy and havent been able to ride one of those rides since Great adventure did batman backwards years ago so having a big man seat was great. I liked nighthawk cause its something unique and last few times went to maryland six flags theres wasnt open.
A dive coaster where Vortex is would fit better and perfect, a GCI in the dinosaur crap area. I remember when they put that crap there, I was so upset 😅. The disrespect to Afterburn 😂😂
I would love to see either a B&M Dive or Wing coaster. Both offer something that are needed at Carowinds. My preference would be a launched wing coaster like Thunderbird at Holiday World, but a dive like Valravn would be great too.
How about them putting Gravity Group on Hurler? It was by far the best coaster there when I visited in '98 and there's no reason for it to suck except the constant $$$.
If they did a log flume as the new water ride i'd like to see it be one of Intamin's new launched log flumes so it stands out a little bit more than just your average log flume.
Hot take: Carowinds is a better park than CP (without fast lane). Id love to see a gci for sure! Also, maybe a water ride, it was hot when we were there.
I think a B&M dive would fit this park very well! Although I know it won't happen, an RMC hurler (even a TT clone) would make for one of the best one-two punches in the country with Fury 325, right next to each other in the same plaza! That would be amazing.
I think everyone is missing the fact that BGW is just a few hours to the north and has a good one, AND is the nicer of the 2 parks. Also with CF getting 2 recently and one coming to dorney I just don’t see that. I do see it being a woodie though as the only one BGW has kinda sucks and the 2 KD have are old and really rough rides.
@@Huddle_House56 BGW is 5 hours away from Carowinds, whereas Kings Island and Cedar Point are almost half of that distance, and look, they both have B&M inverts! I wouldn't really use that argument here where I would use that for kings dominion, SFA, and BGW. Plus Cedar Fair LOVES B&M (rightfully so, they're probably the best manufacturer) so I wouldn't put it past them at all.
@@A-aronTI yeah but if you’re like me and live in the central va area you can literally take your pick to Carowinds BGW or KD. Either one can be done in a day and you’ll ride everything. If they’re going to do anything by B&M they should do a wing. Only one even considerably close is at Dollywood.
@@A-aronTI also inverts are probably their staple model and easiest to clone so it’s not out of the realm to have one. Hell, BGW and Carowinds both have good ones as well. If they’re going to do a dive they’d have to go the kings island route like they did with banshee and inverts right up the road and go all out since one of the OG and still best dives griffon is 5 hours away, as you say. I believe that could be debated as well. Its almost the same trip time wise to either park from where I am.
@@Huddle_House56 I live in VA too, and I rarely drive to carowinds I can't lie. As an enthusiast who barely feels the need to go down there, I highly highly doubt a GP (98% of ppl who go to a park) are going to go to or care about another park 5 hours away with a dive coaster. be real for a second
I have not been silent about what I think Carowinds should do. 1. Get a modern GCI woodie. 2. RMC Hurler 3. Replace nighthawk &vortex with a B&M dive In that order over next 6-10 years
I like Valryn but I'm not a huge fan of dives. That being said it's always packed. I absolutely see one in the runnings for Carowinds. I like the idea of a GCI..... But we need that more at Cedar Point lol.
I think they should build an rmc hybrid and go for a new height record. Maybe even make it a dueling coaster like six flags magic mountain, but with even more insane elements to the layout.
I could also see the possibility of Kings Island receiving a dive coaster in the old Vortex spot. I'm glad you renamed your channel as it's very fitting.
@@seanmce8132 , I'm not saying it's what I want, but it's a real possibility. Also, not a lot of the general public go to both parks, so having one 3 hours away isn't a consideration
They use the amphitheater one time a year sometimes not at all. They could demo the amphitheater and assemble with the old rip roaring rapids ride to double the ride or theme area.
my home park too, i would tear down nighthawk and either build a b&m flying, wing, or dive coaster. but id prefer a wing coaster over that water. next i’d turn hurler into twisted timbers clone. but what i see nobody saying is they could do a rmc hybrid dueling coaster with a nod to thunder road with a similar out and back layout
For 2024 I'm hoping they announce that Gravity Group will be restoring Hurler, similar to Grizzly at Kings Dominion. That would be a nice surprise (steeper drop, remove the trim, fix the airtime hills and rough turns), but also not holding my breath. Otherwise I agree that a water ride is definitely coming based on the survey - either 2025 or 2026. In terms of the next coaster, I think a B&M dive coaster is possible. Carowinds doesn't really compete with BGW - we also have a B&M hyper and Invert so adding a dive would not be out of the question. In terms of location, I would prefer they remove Nighthawk and Vortex and replace both with a large B&M dive coaster. That would look amazing at the front of the park and even out the skyline. In terms of flat rides, the park could really use something like a Zamperla giga discovery and/or Screamin' Swing by S&S. I could see all or part of the old dino plot being used for a future Camp Snoopy expansion.
I’ll say it once an I’ll say it again, CAROWINDS needs to add a A tier GCI and name it Thunder Road (to pay homage to the wooden racing coaster that was there until 2015).
The fact there are no water rides is a big reason visiting Carowinds hasn’t been all that appealing to me. Parks aren’t just coasters for me…it’s the complete package…and without water rides it feels like the park is seriously lacking.
I'd love a wing coaster instead of a dive coaster in that plot of land if they were doing an inversion steel coaster. I know there's copperhead strike already for a launch coaster but with the success of velocicoaster and pantheon I'd love an Intamin multi launch coaster like that.
IF Carowinds, Wants to get back through through creative nature, like it used to be when it was family owned, would bring back ThunderRoad and in norm-as way, like classical huge and compete to Magic Mountain colossal, (RMC Coaster ) will be fantastic and again the whole thing of White Lightning theme was great to create fun wild experience.
I think a launched log flume would be perfect for 2025. It would be the first of Its kind in that area and would fit perfectly in the dinosaurs alive spot!
After the cost to fix Fury, its probably going to be a Tumbili clone. A power splash would be the most likely. When was the last time anybody built a log flume? Or a rapids ride? Parks are getting rid of those because the cost a fortune to run and maintain plus require a lot of staff.
Unpopular opinion, but I don't think Carowinds' next coaster will be huge. A Mack PowerSplash **did** make sense...until Over Georgia announced the Intamin Ultra Surf. Cedar Fair has *never* given Carowinds a family coaster - the most recent ones are Kitty Hawk and Ricochet. (The Disk'O added to Aeronautica Landing doesn't count). Wouldn't be surprised to see a mid-sized Mack water coaster replace Rip Roarin' Rapids or a spinning family coaster on the Dinos Alive plot.
Seriously, this is the biggest gap in the park's ride line up. They desperately need a water ride. I haven't seen a lot of interest by Cedar Fair in water rides recently and they seem to almost exclusively focus on coasters and that's a shame. Carowinds ought to have several water rides with how hot they it gets and they have none. And I don't want them defaulting to a MACK Rides Power Splash or Intamin water coaster that only exist so that parks can claim they have a new coaster while offering only a single splash down. I'd love for Carowinds to get a log flume with a section inside a show building. They could add a section that builds off of the story from Copperhead Strike. That would become incredibly popular.
How about instead of a power splash, Carowinds could build a Mack water coaster with a lift hill and a coaster layout with a splash down ending like Krampus Expedition at Nigoland. They could theme it around the sliding rock in Asheville, NC if they wanted since the rapids ride plot is in the NC side. Here's a POV of one: ruclips.net/video/i1KG6NxBVQc/видео.html
I'd also rather not see a B&M Dive at Carowinds. They already have 3 great, custom B&Ms and don't need another hyper. I'd argue Over Georgia needs a *mini Dive* more to compete with ArieForce and as a replacement for Dare Devil Dive (which should be relocated to Six Flags America). Once Carowinds is ready to close both Nighthawk and Vortex, I'd love to see a *Vekoma Tilt* coaster's drop straddle the NC-SC border instead.
I don’t think the new name is fitting, think it would be better to just be Theme Park Predictions. Keep Ridin’ Coasters is a great Tagline, but I don’t think it fits with the channel name
Let me start off by saying saying a lot of people need to be more realistic and stop saying that a coaster is on the way. Nobody knows what the park is going to get until they announce it. So stop feeding false information. I know a lot of people have high hopes. But don't put them up high. Trust me.
As a coaster enthusiasts, I absolutely love a new fresh and creative Dive Coaster, and BM's new Flying Coaster would be amazing!! Every time I get off a dive coaster, I'm just smiling from ear to ear.
Afterburn def deserves more love. My favorite B&M invert - dials up the intensity and never lets go
And I would love a GG rework of Hurler in the near future. RMC'ing it would be cool, but it's been done a lot, and I think the Hurler already does things differently enough from a lot of woodies that I think just smoothing and amplifying it would be great.
It’s my fav as well!
Conpletly agree! Afterburn is phenomenal!

I love that RUclips's autogenerated subtitle thing hears "Copperhead Strike" as "Copyright Strike" lol
Lol
Have you seen the video for the new vekoma interactive water ride video?
It looks great
I’ll be at Carowinds 9/17 would love to get some rides on fury with you!
I could definitely see Cedar Fair investing in a wooden coaster for Carowinds. They just got Worlds Of Fun 2 GCI's in a row.
I think they should build an rmc hybrid and go for a new height record. Maybe even make it a dueling coaster like six flags magic mountain, but with even more insane elements to the layout.
With 245 ft, a dive coaster like a yukon stricker?
I could also see the possibility of Kings Island receiving a dive coaster in the old Vortex spot.
I'm glad you renamed your channel as it's very fitting.
I hope not, Valravan is only 3 hours away. I'd love to see a vekoma flyer or thrill coaster or a Mack extreme spinner.
@@seanmce8132 , I'm not saying it's what I want, but it's a real possibility. Also, not a lot of the general public go to both parks, so having one 3 hours away isn't a consideration
@@brianborstein8456 I wish it was a consideration, they are perfectly fine coasters but I'm hoping they get almost literally anything but a dive.
They were never do a dive coaster and King island because the one in Cedar point
@@coasterpath negative
They use the amphitheater one time a year sometimes not at all. They could demo the amphitheater and assemble with the old rip roaring rapids ride to double the ride or theme area.
my home park too, i would tear down nighthawk and either build a b&m flying, wing, or dive coaster. but id prefer a wing coaster over that water.
next i’d turn hurler into twisted timbers clone.
but what i see nobody saying is they could do a rmc hybrid dueling coaster with a nod to thunder road with a similar out and back layout
And if memory serves, Copperhead Strike sits on the land once occupied by Whitewater Falls, so it makes sense…
Hey Brandon I’m going to Silver Dollar city next week any suggestions with riding there rmc I can’t remember the name of it I think it’s outlaw run
Outlaw run! Back row!!! Woohoo
@@KeepRidinCoasters thank you
Another good video Brandon!
Thank you
For 2024 I'm hoping they announce that Gravity Group will be restoring Hurler, similar to Grizzly at Kings Dominion.
Great ideas!
I’ll say it once an I’ll say it again, CAROWINDS needs to add a A tier GCI and name it Thunder Road (to pay homage to the wooden racing coaster that was there until 2015).
Carowinds needs a great RMC and a great woodie...in that order.
As long as it runs... unlike nighthawk...
After the cost to fix Fury, its probably going to be a Tumbili clone. A power splash would be the most likely. When was the last time anybody built a log flume? Or a rapids ride? Parks are getting rid of those because the cost a fortune to run and maintain plus require a lot of staff.
amazing video
Thanks! 🎢🎢
ooo im in this video again
Unpopular opinion, but I don't think Carowinds' next coaster will be huge. A Mack PowerSplash **did** make sense...until Over Georgia announced the Intamin Ultra Surf. Cedar Fair has *never* given Carowinds a family coaster - the most recent ones are Kitty Hawk and Ricochet. (The Disk'O added to Aeronautica Landing doesn't count). Wouldn't be surprised to see a mid-sized Mack water coaster replace Rip Roarin' Rapids or a spinning family coaster on the Dinos Alive plot.
Great ideas!!!
I'd like to see a Tilt coaster in Carowinds
Hope Carowinds adds a water ride to the dry park next year
Seriously, this is the biggest gap in the park's ride line up.
I think Canada's Wonderland has the best prospects for the future... with respect to thrill rides.
Bro Bro Bro, hurler has its back turn completely torn up, something going on?? Also from the cams, flying cobras got repainted black I think
They don’t need another hyper they need dive or surf coaster
Could gold striker get moved here?
Maybe someday :)
They should build the biggest wing coaster
How about instead of a power splash, Carowinds could build a Mack water coaster with a lift hill and a coaster layout with a splash down ending like Krampus Expedition at Nigoland. They could theme it around the sliding rock in Asheville, NC if they wanted since the rapids ride plot is in the NC side. Here's a POV of one: ruclips.net/video/i1KG6NxBVQc/видео.html
They need something like the new catapult falls at sea world SA.
I really like themed log flumes. The idea lives on in Europe not so much in the US.
They need a gci or gg woodie most imo.
I would love to see a GCI in 2026/27 then RMC hurler but I just think that's very likely
I wish they would bring back Southern Star for 2024.
Since it's under six flags management now they will probably rmc hurler
I bet their next coaster is a family coaster. It seems to be CF's thing these days.
Just imagine the options we would have if Cedar Fair would stop being petty .Long term CF holding grudges against intiman,RMC is going to hurt them.
here me out! instead of a b&m dive coaster… a vekoma TILT COASTER!
Boom love it
Record Breaking world tallest and fastest and longest B&M Dive machine in the world?
I lost my uncle today he passed away
I’m sorry to hear! Hang in there! Tomorrow will be better
They need a gci Beacus hurler is painful
Smart move to keep the old name on the channel for now…🤓🤘
Thank you :)
I don’t think the new name is fitting, think it would be better to just be Theme Park Predictions.
Keep Ridin’ Coasters is a great Tagline, but I don’t think it fits with the channel name
The should get a gci
Agreed
They desperately need to RMC Hurler and and a water ride. Shutting both big water rides sucked.

Hello
HEY HEY!
