Nestled in the beautiful Sumter National Forest and the Tyger-Enoree River, this quaint small town of Whitmire, SC, is dubbed “The Pearl of Piedmont” . Whitmire offers hunting, hiking trails, fishing, camping and rafting along with some beautiful homes. A town once thought to be going down, is on the way up and becoming sought after. Come walk with me through the neighborhoods and enjoy the tranquility of it views.

Your town was founded by my family who came there from Stuttgart Germany, his name was George Frederick Whitmire. Thank you for showing your beautiful town ❤

Beautiful town! I grew up in a very small town in Arkansas, but I've lived in Houston for the past forty plus years so it's home now. Very different vibe, but pros and cons to both.
Indeed they do, my son is in the Houston area (Fulshear) and I look forward to visiting him.
I rode through Whitemire a few months ago. Really cute, well kept town. I ended up near where what looks like a huge mill used to be. On my days off, I always fill up my mid- life crisis toy and head towards SC and explore the small towns. I have been trying to talk my wife into moving to a small SC town like Pageland or Florence. But she's not ready yet. Lol.

Hello. This is my father's hometown. He left there around 1940's. I still have family there, whom I never met. My grandfather was Pres Williams and my grandmother was Brosia. I would love to meet my cousins. Someone please comment to help me. I believe the name Chick may help.
