Love Durham. But where we live, schools, lack of parks and sidewalks has us looking to relocate

We love Durham too! The lack of good parks and walkable areas is really tough. I wish we could see Durham invest more in their parks!

Variation in housing prices in this country is ridiculous. I am in the beautiful mountains of Pennsylvania, 1 hour outside a major city and houses are around $250k, not sure I can afford to move to Durham!

Supply and demand for sure! Lots of work opportunities and industry here plus more appealing weather in the south with less winter storms definitely drives people this way! Other spots in NC are less expensive than Durham for sure!

I read Durham is a good destination for allergy-sufferers. Not as many pollen-type triggers???

I am not sure how it ranks compared to where you are coming from, but I know NC is high in pine pollen in early spring.
