      I appreciate your observation about the absence of people in the neighborhoods I film. It aligns with what I've seen living across the US. Many choose suburban areas for peace and tranquility, a sentiment I aim to capture in my relaxing walks and drives. It's common for residents to enjoy their private spaces, like backyards, or engage in activities away from the main streets, such as visiting parks or utilizing the greenways common in cities like Raleigh and Austin. My wife, originally from the UK, has also noted similar characteristics in suburban neighborhoods there.
      It intrigues me that many are unfamiliar with this suburban culture in the USA. The comments of "where are the people" always make me wonder what viewers expect to see. Similarly, the contrasting queries about the absence of sidewalks are fascinating. It seems some anticipate crowded streets, which typically isn't the essence of suburbia.

    Great video. Where did you mount the camera for this?
    I have so many videos that I want to publish, but I can't because HDR is not kicking in for any of my recent videos.

    • @RelaxingWalks
      @RelaxingWalks  Год назад +1

      I've noticed inconsistent processing times for HDR, ranging from 2 days to weeks, even months, and sometimes never. I recall we touched on this topic on Reddit. While I currently use Davinci Resolve, I've encountered the same issue with FCPX in the past.
      I've reached out to RUclips support multiple times, but they seem to have difficulty grasping the issue. For now, my workaround involves uploading each video five times.
      I hope you find a solution for your videos as well. ❤️

    • @VeeDriving
      @VeeDriving Год назад

      @RelaxingWalks I reached out to RUclips support via live chat yesterday. It seemed that the person knew what I was talking about and requested for links of the videos in question.
      As of now, only 2/30 of my outstanding videos are now available in HDR.
      I am very curious on whether you mounted the camera on the outside of your car for this video by the way.

    • @RelaxingWalks
      @RelaxingWalks  Год назад

      @@VeeDriving Understanding varies based on who responds to the chat.
      They typically update me every other day, mentioning their internal team is on it. After weeks, the videos might transition to HDR.
      The case often switches hands, and it's a toss-up if the next support person grasps the issue. With each change, there's potential for re-explaining the situation.
      Despite their assurances, the videos might eventually become HDR on their own, if I'm fortunate.
      I hope continuous outreach prompts action, but I'm skeptical since few publish in HDR.
      I would never record from inside a vehicle. The glare destroys the video.

    • @VeeDriving
      @VeeDriving Год назад

      @@RelaxingWalks how do you mount your camera from the outside?
      As for the glare, my best solution is to use a polarizer for my lens.

    • @RelaxingWalks
      @RelaxingWalks  Год назад +1

      @veedriving6210 oh, I meant glare from the car windows. The mounting, it just depends. I created custom mounts. Too many details to really get into here. Feel free to ping me on the side and we can collaborate if you’d like.

    I love the scenery, it's just beautiful but, I would appreciate some sounds as well. I don't like the dead quiet. I'd even appreciate the sound of the car. There is no place on earth that is totally without sound like this. I feel like I'm lost in space, total sensory deprivation. It's even a relief when another car passes and I can hear the sound of that. I'm still subscribing though because of the beauty. Please get a bell, or a whistle or something. LOL I hate all of this quiet. 🙂

    • @RelaxingWalks
      @RelaxingWalks  Год назад +5

      Thank you for subscribing and offering your thoughts. I appreciate your input! To clarify, the audio you hear (or don’t hear) is directly captured from the drive in real-time using high-end binaural mics. This isn’t an omission - it's the authentic sound of the drive, with the air conditioner on, from the perspective of the driver.
      You might find this walking video interesting, which uses the same recording setup and process: ruclips.net/video/9jknCFrDR-A/видео.html.
      Here's a list of the equipment used:
      Audio Recorder: Zoom F6: a.co/d/6WMq7Sd
      Mic: MS-EHB-2-MKII: soundprofessionals.com/product...
      Mic Windscreen: WindTech WSF-1: a.co/d/eAYaoMT
      Audio Cleaning: Izotope RX: www.izotope.com/en/products/r...
      It's possible the audio’s high dynamic range made it seem quieter than expected. I always suggest adjusting the volume for a natural feel, as normalizing during production might affect the binaural experience.

      @elainewilliams3846 Год назад +4

      Well these are wealthy areas and people prefer their privacy and don't usually mingle around with neighbors. As a matter of fact, that's how it is in a lot of the country. The US in general is an individualistic society where people more or less prefer being by themselves or with their close family. That's why you don't usually see many people out and about in their neighborhood.

    • @Er-sv5tn

      What many non US people don't realize is these houses have very large backyards, often with patios, pools, tennis court and Jacuzzi. There is no need to be in the street or in front of the house. Family activities occur inside the home or in the backyard. There is also no commercial activities as these areas are zoned exclusively residential
