My tip is to not purchase online but to spend ones arrival day enjoying a tuktuk ride around and asking the driver to add Angkor ticket office to an afternoon stop off. No line ups and an afternoon purchases also allows free entry for that afternoon to the archaeological site, if one wishes too. 😊
I bought my ticket locally, there is an all inclusive ticket center my regular tuktuk driver took me to. Got me into all the temples, they simply stamp for the days used. I'm so backwards, I can eat all the street food I want... then ate at a "proper" restaurant... and got sick. I only used their money to avoid uncrispness. Find a financial institution with low ATM fees. I personally loved the place and will be returning in a few months. Thanks for the cancel/delay link! Definitely a win.

@@garyclarke9685 I wasn't sure about Cambodia for about the first 2 or 3 days.... I was planning on being there maybe a week. That rule about US currency needing to be in pristine condition has been removed. Any folded bills or slightly damaged torn or stained notes are accepted everywhere. I’ve tested it, and haven’t been refused yet anywhere. It’s because now the banks don’t charge a fee for accepting damaged bills from business deposits.
@@Mikeycambovideos thanks the info! I think another comment mentioned this as well ahah, it’s good to know that this rule has been removed! Are you from Cambodia?
I’m 99% confident that I remember seeing some ATMs there ahah so I think you’ll be fine 🙏 but you can use your card anywhere in the airport, plus you can use the Grab Taxi app which you can pay by card
I didn't know this about booking online & for your ticket to see Angkor wat . I've done much research but this is the first time I've heard about it. Why do I need to book it online? Isn't there a face to face step I can take to book my ticket & have it in a physical form? I'm going there in 8 days time.
I actually paid for mine online a few weeks before I was due to arrive, and printed it off before landing. I think at Siem Reap and Phnom Penh you can get them on arrival (but I flew into Sihanoukville and I read online that this airport didn’t offer visa on arrival ahah)
That's my biggest concern. All the travellers say you must take usd but what's the point if it's going to be refused. Am I not supposed to keep money in my wallet because it is unavoidable not to have folded & creased notes we all have them

Funny how they don't accept torn or old or tatty USD but the place is disgustingly littered with plastic trash. Gross.
This, allegedly, is no longer true. The money, not the litter.
