In this video we will visit the Old Market in Siem Reap, Cambodia to do another market tour like the Thailand Market tour we did last month in Phuket, Thailand. So cool Chris. I laughed my ass off through the whole video. Im from Cambodia and never been back since I was 3yo. All the extra money you gave to the sellers at the ends is such a big +++ for them. Esch little extra dollars for them can change their life. What is a dollar or teo for us honestly. Those people are humble and real. Such a big heart peeps, proud of my culture.
About 15 years ago I purchased the same style of imitation Rolex in Thailand and it is still running. The "gold" plating has worn off but still a nice watch.

The fake rolex was bad replica the fake Oyster bracelet shouldn't have lines thru the middle links the 2 tone one he didn't like was a more accurate copy they have some fakes these days that look identical to the real rolex

Chris you always have to negotiate in Asia or they think less of you as a shopper. It is expected and fun. They sell a lot of product and it is part of the experience, like eating different foods or seeing different sights. Just relax and enjoy the ride. I have bought so many copies for fun and for myself. Thanks for sharing.

that seller is one of the better guys in old market,i live in siem reap for 10 years and if i have a device that the battery runs out of i always go to him,he is not the cheapest but he adjust size for free where the others are just sellers and leave you with your bought item

I am a watch collector. If you’re curious, that is a replica of a non-existent Rolex. Almost looks like a datejust, mixed with a presidential, and submariner clasp. Pretty funny. I’d say, it’s worth around $5 if it tells the time. Hey, you made a guy happy! I do not support the fake Rolex market, but it’s amusing haha.

I shopped at Old Market a couple times for shirts.... Been to Siem Reap 3 times from the U.S.A. for a total of 15 weeks and enjoyed it....thanks for the video
I've been to Asia multiple times and definitely the first price is always negotiable. It's not disrespectful at all. Sometimes they'll initiate the bargaining themselves once you change your mind and then the game is on. The calculator is great for bargaining so numbers don't get confusing. This guy handled it the same way my wife and I have. Id feel bad if I purposely tried to rip off the locals. But you can easily compare prices by walking around and get a baseline and go from there. It's fun and challenging but fair.
Cambodia is awesome because the people there is awesome.

I'm with you, and as it should be almost everywhere in market, like swap meet, downtown Santee alley in los angeles. So, sure they hit you with tourist price, and if you don't bargain, then you pay full asking price. Plain and simple, like most people go and buying a car at a dealership, you will try to negotiate the price..
Cambodian cobra vodka is actually real. Jus looks cool and dangerous to drink but overall would be a conversation piece to have in your bar collection

You can buy all those watches and more from Central Market in Phnom Penh. I always offer half of what they ask for, and get near that price in the end. Sometimes you need to walk away twice or more, show all confidence possible when bargaining prices.

If you buy too much stuff to pack, simply send it home in a box by mail. While living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, I sent two boxes of stuff home to Canada by postal service. I'm a western...my home is Canada.
As far as small Buddha statues, I was easily able to take a couple out of both Thailand and Cambodia. They are more concerned about removal of actual antique statues. Perhaps my being Buddhist and respecting Buddhism, made a difference, I don't know.

@@geoteun1562 I can’t remember what I paid. But it was not much. I sent two boxes to Canada when I was living in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I used a postal delivery service just off the street by the food courtyard at the night market. Not far from the Ping River. It was nine years ago. I’m sure the cost has risen since then.
But in future travels, that’s what I will do also. Traveling minimalist, one bag carry on….I don’t have room to carry lots of stuff. So I ship stuff to my home country if I want it that bad, or buy stuff for family back home.

A legit Rolex can be serviced and have all scratches removed to look like new at any official rolex centre. Why buy if you’re worried about scratching it?
@@Travelwithchris Yes I have other nice watches that are much cheaper and don't get scratched as easily. I usually just wear those for normal outings and that for special occasions so I'm not always at my dealer getting it maintained. I'm the same way with cars, but I can wrap those in protective film. I'm only keeping them as something to pass down to my son.
