My 22 2SS has never had the AFM squeak. Almost immediately after I bought it I pulled the NPP fuse, and installed a Range Device. This is probably why I’ve never had a squeak, but I’ve share your video to a friend who has this issue. Keep it up!
@@JCSCUSTOMS well I haven’t pulled the fuse at all I got the CEL the next morning after the exhaust install & im trying to figure out how to get rid of it without having to get a whole new exhaust that comes with the valves 😞
@@2ssCT you can take your actuators off the exhaust you cut off, and plug them back into the harness you unplugged, make sure the code goes away, then pull the fuse. Then disconnect them. The fuse has to be pulled before unplugging the valves
I though I bout removing the section of the AFM and welding a pipe in its place and zip tying the AFM valve up and away, But any updates as of right now?
Hey I’m having same exact thing going on my ss , can this AFM valves be replaced with new ones since I have factory exhaust?… btw your car sounds so good bro..
I hate to bust chops but you cant just turn off or delete DOD. While you can turn off AFM, you still have the weak afm lifters and cam in it and unless those are swapped, its not gone. All Camaros have afm/dod, even the manual trans models 2016 to 2024, its just turned off from factory in the manual models. It is in the V8 and V6 camaros amd trucks/suv's.
Just bought the range afm disabler!!! MY SQUEAK IS GONE!! 10/10 recommend.
This video explaining how to fix the issue starts after 3:45 "you're welcome"
Great info. I have a 2020 LT1 that has the annoying squeak/chirp sound. I am taking notes. Thanks!!

Came for the info, found it! Now I just have to do it. Thanks man
No problem!
I have a 2019 2ss & just got the corsa extreme Axle back put on but the next morning I got a CEL code was P2605 - Exhaust flow control valve circuit
If it’s for your active exhaust, did you pull the fuse before unplugging?

Good info on this. I have a 2021 LT1 and doesn't squeak (knock on wood) would it be beneficial to do this to prevent it?
If it’s not doing it I wouldn’t touch it. Some guys never have issues with theirs
@@JCSCUSTOMS thank you! I hope this fixes yours for good.
@@ericpalmer3664 hopefully so!

Cool man, its holding up pretty well so far
Hey I’m having same exact thing going on my ss , can this AFM valves be replaced with new ones since I have factory exhaust?… btw your car sounds so good bro..
Typically they will apply a lube or replace the entire exhaust. Never heard or seen any replace just the valves. Thanks man!
Can I ask a dealership to do this since i have the same noise coming from my LT1 ? I don’t got jacks/jackstands or even those little lifts you got :(
There is a service bulletin where they can apply a dry slide lube. I’ve had that done as well before this
@@JCSCUSTOMS thank you !

Is there anyway I can send u the video of the noise my car is making?
You can try to send through email if the file is small enough, joshuaschjott@yahoo.com

Has this given you anymore problems ?
Squeak came back about 2 months ago, so it lasted about 5 months, which is a lot longer than the GM dry slide lube they try to apply
Why the hell would they need to replace the ENTIRE exhaust system?
It’s all welded together, instead of cutting it and putting piece of another, GM replaces everything
