It is so sad that the cheap eats on the strip are just national fast food chains. I miss the old school Vegas with good deals.
Not all of them, there are several in miracle mile that are single location. Also some people don’t have in and out or whataburger as they were traditionally regional.
@@GambleSmart good point! I live in AZ so most of the restaurants are local to me. My favorite chain is Hattie B's at the Cosmopolitan.
Ooh. A Whataburger! Only had it once in San Antonio. Will be great to explore their menu more on my next trip. Lots of deals off strip as you know...Ellis Island, Downtown Grand just to name a couple.
I agree, so much for the old $5 Steak and egg with bacon and orange juice days at the casino or the $10 dollar buffet
Tacos el Gordo!!! I don’t go to Vegas to save money. I save to go a couple of times a year and enjoy all the fine dining options
available. Tacos from Tacos el Gordo are of exceptional quality and affordable.
Great place for sure, i forgot totally about them as i did not make it that far. But a good spot for sure!
It’s all about happy hour, too. Some places I could never afford have great cheap happy hour food, usually from about 4-6 but not always.
Ellis Island has “real” food in the pub, just a bit off the strip. They also have Metro Pizza selling pizza slices for under 5
Hash house a go go used to have a $7 happy hour that included many apps and drinks
Tacos El Gordo is also a yummy place to eat on the strip.
Good one for sure, totally missed it, I did not make it down that far unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion!
There a tons of good and cheap places to eat in Vegas. You just got to look! Personally, we come to Vegas to gamble and experience the best dining (yes expensive) places.
very true just have to look!
Thank you Dave! Yes be wise and there are plenty of places to eat cheap. In fact if you’re with family or friends you could even split a meal and save that way. The last time I was in Vegas my husband and I split our breakfast and lunches and spent some money on our dinners. Good video. 😊👍🏻🎰
That’s a good tip right there, most of the portions are very big and easy split.
Thanks for the great info! My first Vegas trip was last month for a work conference. My wife and I are planning a return trip this summer, and I was nervous about budgeting for food based on the prices I saw for everything where I was staying. This gives us a ton of options to look at without having to go very far!
There so many good affordable places. Hope it helps make your next trip stay on food budget.
Great video! I go to ABC Stores @ Miracle Mile. Good for yogurt, salad, chopped fruit and I also get a bag of unsalted nuts. Good price and filling.
Thanks robert, totally forgot that AbC has some food stuff and they are so many places.
One of my favorite cheap spots is the Excalibur food court. It’s not under $15, but I got a very filling 9 inch pizza + 3 breadsticks with sauce + drink combo for $18 after tax at the Pizza Hut Express. Definitely enough to share, but plenty for a nice meal for one.
I was not able to find prices in many casinos what were low. But i did not get to excalibur. Great bit of advice!
Great video Dave! Thank you for letting us know about these places
Thank you for watching ! hope it helps on your next trip
Dave u created an awesome food video. Giving, cost, location and a great variety. Loved the tour.
This will be one of yr most watched videos bec when someone goes to Vegas, they can pull it up and decide where they want to go.
A word to Marc on White Castle, I grew up in NY, raised on what we called " belly bombers". Ha.
A group of us wld go there and order at least 100 bec there was no eating just a few. 😅
thank you janet!’ belly bombers sounds accurate :)
Good video. We always try to spend as less as possible on breakfast and lunch so we can splurge more on dinner and cocktails.
That’s a good plan, so many great places for dinner and lunch is not getting you there :)
One time I challenged myself to eat as cheap as possible for the first 3 days I went to Vegas I got a large special pizza from gios had that for dinner 3 nights and once for breakfast used my $50 comp meals for breakfast the 2 other nights and 1 lunch. 3 days grand total out of pocket $30. But at the same time I got an offer for additional $50 of food due to my game play. So you could say it was free. The rest of my stay I went all out.
That’s smart traveling right there, great way to stretch the dollar further!
Tip I learned from my mom instead of paying for a soda if you drink soda order water with lemon and make your own lemonade just add sugar to your liking 👍
i remember doing this as a kid , not much money and it got you a tasty drink!
it is kind of crazy how much fast food is on the strip now… in 2008 or so it was only McDonald’s and Del taco that I can remember. There were so many other great little hole in the wall restaurants. But I think they failed because they didn’t have the brand recognition and all the foreign tourists and families didn’t know what to do. The fast food places moved in and cleaned up.
Thanks for sharing. I love Denny's.
moons over my hammy the only thing i ever get :) thank you for watching !
I love these types of videos, thank you. Love White Castle. Grew up with it, but now the closest one to me is a 3+ hour drive. Another place I really like is Greenberg's Deli in NYNY for breakfast. Breakfast sandwich with coffee or tea for $8.95 until 11am (price as of a couple months ago, up from $7.95 last year).
great tip for sure! and in a casino where cheap is rare now. thank you!
Great info, thank you!!!!
glad you liked it.
Thanks for this video! I didn’t realize there were so many fast food options now on the Strip, especially on the south end.
lots of options in fast food and sit down
Thanks!
In and Out usually has a line way out the door. It does move fast, but it's crazy busy. I think the point about food being expensive is valid. You can find less expensive places to eat, but eating at them day after day gets old real fast.
Just like in a regular day, gotta moderate the fast food, plus if it’s just for breakfast or lunch and you splurge on dinner or a nice meal, anything helps stretch that food budget.
Now this is definitely need to know info lol I love to eat but love to do it cheap as well thanks Dave and the 100 dollar challenge video you guys did was great as well
Thank you! glad you enjoyed!! i like a good cheap meal to get me to the nice meal for dinner.
Wow! That’s some serious walking….thanks so much from us thrifty gamblers!
Happy to do it! Enjoy giving all the info i can and help others. Thank you for watching!
Circus Circus counts as a strip casino the same way Hoboken counts as New York City.
Dave...you sure do get around! Kudos on Raising Cane's. Enjoyed the 2nd floor dining area with a view too. Whataburger not so much. I guess we gotta go to Texas to the legit version.
I will admit i have not eaten at whataburger since they are back home. But there are usually good.
Come on over!!! An "In-n-Out" opened near Houston. I tried a burger combo. I was not impressed.
I get the kid's meal at Raising Canes!
@@margaretgraham5880 it’s box combo for me , extra fries instead of slaw, extra crispy all the way and 4 extra sauces :)
I try to eat at Blondies each trip. Moco Loco for breakfast and then come back for beers at happy hour.
that’s a good plan and good choice!
Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit is 🔥
I will fight anyone who disagrees 🤣🤣 it’s so good they sell it in the big bottle.
@@GambleSmart I'll die drinking a bottle and smile doing so lol
You stayed on the east side of the Strip, but if you cross over to the west side to the Fashion Show mall there are typical places inside the mall to eat. It's still best to venture just off-Strip to find some real gems with good prices though. People don't know places like the Chinatown Plaza just past Valley View on Spring Mountain Rd. Not far and good food and prices to boot. A lot better than chain restaurants.
I did not make it down that far, will add it to the next trip, but this is only on the strip , while
chinatown does have amazing food, it’s a drive for sure.
Hi guys love your videos and I’ve forwarded them on to friends I love them that much. I live in Liverpool uk and I’ve been to vegas 17 times over the years. Love it. I also play slots here, we call them fruit machines. I have a question for you that I really hope you can answer. Are vegas slots set up differently to uk machines. I ask this because I’ve played our machines for 40yrs and they will ALWAYS take money after a small win say £30 they seem to play different to vegas slots. I hope you can clarify this for me
Unfortunely I am not familiar enough with the UK laws and regulations, I know several manufactures deal in the UK and europe but I just don’t have that info on set up to answer.
Is there an online site where you can buy vegas machines? Would absolutely love one for my mancave
Whataburger!!! 🙌
that’s right! i knew you would understand :)
I ate that Dennys in 1999😂❤😂
Wanted to go to Ocean 1 but line was 1.5 hours long on a Wed morning for breakfast & lunch was worst. Will have to try again. Had food credits for Bellagio so had great bfast there- French toast to die for but pricey!
Ocean one is good food, prices are very good and they are not small portions
I have a question. Do some slot machines have motion sensors because I think they sometimes make noise when I get near them.
the sounds and screens just come
on at random times.
@@GambleSmart ...when idle!!!

Kinda weird that most of those places had their signs printed backwards. They look fine in your rear view mirror. 🤓
Not weird , front camera vs rear and mirror only working when it wants to on the iphone 12. Technical issue that i am working on but the setting refuses to stick.
So far most of the places are yunk food. Not a real meal, that's what he was talking about, that u can't eat a real meal in Vegas for less then $40
Blondies , la salsa, dennys would give you a real meal that is not fast food meal. Sure there are a lot of fast food options, and you don’t have to eat there. As there are many places that are not fast food.
Dont understand why you would go on vacation and eat at places you could eat back home. I go to Vegas for the gambling, eating, and shopping all things that I cant get in Hawaii
in and out burger, whataburger, blondies, ocean one, la salsa, and ketchup are not in hawaii. Give them a try for new places you can’t get back home.
Blondies has the bomb cobb salad!
Blondies is that well hidden place, where more locals go than out of towners it seems
@@GambleSmart absolutely! I told you 2 locals know where to get the best eats!!
Im off today, guess im gonna have to make an appearance…Thanks man 😋
7:54 I cannot believe you’re in the casino Royale without a gas mask on. I was there last week and I couldn’t breathe for more than a second without the wretched smell of human poop filling my nostrils even outside it smells like a broken septic system completely utterly putrid. Those hotdogs are in the very back where it’s been sitting in the smell of a septic system.
That was not the case when i was there , not shocked but it’s usually a good place.
😂
Why go to Vegas to eat bad cheap food?
Vegas has gotten to the point where they have to have videos to show you the locations of fast food joints. How pathetic. you pay for parking, and resort fees and no more free drinks and now you have to Cruise around hunting down a big mac..??
Which locations have no free drinks? not many people are driving around the strip. most are on foot.
@@GambleSmart the last time I was there the slots monitored how much you played and a green light came on when they thought you deserved a drink. I enjoy playing slots. But it sure cheapened the whole event. Not a big drinker but it's part of the fun of Vegas to have a friendly cocktail waitress cheerfully give you a drink. I always made a point to tip the price of the drink or close to it. I haven't been back since.maybe I'm living in the past. But I'm hoping Vegas will get back to what it used to be or close to it. Meanwhile I will continue taking your guy's advice and make Laughlin Nevada my destination
Never saw that green light anywhere I went this year. The drink servers just came around and ask Were you at Caesars or Bellagio or Wynn maybe the over priced places do that but not normal casinos
Tacos el Gordo!
@@rs3018 your right, was in Vegas just before covid, sat at the bar in Harrahs to play poker and get a drink. Bartender told me I had to put at least $20 in for a complimentary drink and I had to be actively playing. Didn't stay there long. Also in was Laughlin 2 years ago Harrahs did the same thing there.
Why you said food is expensive , is not a casino is expensive? You could lose even 1000bucks for casino but your food worth 20 bucks is expensive for you.
Food is expensive and as i said, saving on food gives more money for entertainment. many people are on a tight budget and if they can safe on food, are more likely to have a better time enjoying the other things.
Want some cheap prime rib and 1.99 cent breakfast dude what's with all this crappy food. The Strip too high Maybe a decent slice of homemade local slice of pizza. Downtown or go to Henderson Skyline, Club Fortune , the Magic Star,The Rainbow you can get some deals casino food . Steak sandwich Shrimp cocktails. Go where the locals go for the deals. Slots pay better, and longer. If you win go for lobster dinner on your winnings🦞😋
