What do you think about this turbo on a 400ci sbc to run 12-14 psi in a street car? Would backpressure be reasonable at this level? I'm leaning toward just doing a billet t6 s480 but that will be a lot of rework.
Good job Matt! I was thinking the same thing about that T4 turbo covering that higher HP range, and how not that long ago a T4 doing that was unheard of. I am glad you did an honest side by side comparison, that helps a lot. Do you feel it had a little more left with some more fuel?
Would never make more than a cheap genuine s475 ... will spool earlier , but will just blow tires off ... good for 5-700 rwhp cars , beyond that it will make more but is out of turbine and not efficient
@@batdad187 like i said not efficient , diminishing returns and pushes motor harder with the backpressure. good to operate the turbo in its efficiency range. much easier on motor
I'm getting ready to do a gen 2.5 billet on my piston and rod LS1 w/a small blower cam. I'm hoping cam isn't going to be a restriction, and the car will make enough power to get into mid 9's, with a/c still. Really looking forward to this, hopefully I'll be able to get it tuned... do you guys recommend anyone? I do have hp Tuners.. also, how's that fuel system setup? I'm trying to not have to run a external regulator, if I don't have to, but already being on e85, my pump will probably be limiting my power, until I upgrade. Thanks guys!
Why is there such a power drop towards the ends of the graph? (Almost losing close to 90whp at 140MPH? What’s the boost curve looking like? Is it due to cam? Manifold? Turbo running out of stem?

I went from an on3 7875 to the vs 7875 v2 and the exhaust is a different size(you will need the flange and to build a new dump) and it moved the outlet to the intercooler over like an inch. I still have to make another elbow from the outlet to the intercooler because of that. Hope that helps
