Looks to be a worldwide curse! You may think you’re a homeowner or business owner and own a piece of land, but if your government wants it for whatever reason you can kiss it good-bye😡. So very sad and madly infuriating !! Paul, thank you for getting these places documented.👍🏻
hence why I rent. The term Homeowner is the biggest fraudulent lie ever. Nobody actually owns anything. It’s more like you pay a bank for a 99year lease unless you sell or mindless governments do like above.
This is sad and maddening! Absolutely beautiful homes now gone- so sorry for the families that have gone through this experience. As always, great video Sir!
One of my memories of living in Adelaide as a child and later travelling back to the city to visit family, was driving 🚙along Magill and Portrush Road, lined with charming old homes 🏡with stone facades and beautiful gardens. My heart sinks that so many of the grand homes are being demolished, including the grand old Federation Bungalow 🏚and Victorian Villa, 🏡that you have fortunately been able to capture in this video, before being lost forever.
How sad...."paved paradise and put up a parking lot".... Excellent documentation. The floors in the last one were stunning!! It appears that they were told they had to leave AFTER a refresh & remodel. 😢
The absolute tragedy of losing the first two buildings is only tempered by the internal changes made for a business enterprise. Thanks for your earlier videos, Paul.
Urbex Indigo thanks my friend for sharing this video with me i really enjoy it about Abandoned- Huge federation Bungalow "Kozy Kids" lost in a 47 property demolition/Adelaide it was very interesting and i amm from the U.S.A and i will always show support tou your channel and God Bless and thanks.
Wow, thank you Karina! :-) So glad you are enjoying still and yes travelling back in time even just for a little taste via these old homes is awesome I agree! :-)
I do like it when you give the history of a place. I am glad that all the child care stuff, got a new home. Those toys are expensive to buy. I am sure, that the parents were not very happy. Having to move their kids. It's not easy, good places at least where I live. Have a good week.
This is so sad for the families that lost their homes. Disgustingly this is another case of the government not being for the people. How much money will they make selling the excess land to developers. They all have their hands in each others pockets. I just don't understand why people keep thinking that government even cares about the Australian people....with anything. They only care about power, money and ruining lives. Thanks for another great video
A very sad video of so many families losing their homes to make way for a 'Road' also a shame about the "Kozy kids" centre getting knocked down and after all the reno's it had.. Damnnnnn. Thanks for sharing Cheers MM :)
The behaviour of government is reprehensible at all levels as is being exposed in the past few months,, I really feel for those shafted by them . So thanks again for your efforts mate to document and provide the history and information on these places. I’ve said it time n time before but it is greatly appreciated. Well done.
Hello Paul I think it's crazy that they make those families that work hard all their lives for those beautiful homes and just take them like they did like it didn't matter and The Business of the daycare I hope all those families have Better Homes now and are very happy love from upstate New York
Another great explore thank you Paul. The old homes with character, are destroyed to be replaced by cookie cutter no character houses.Such a shame.I guess anything is disposable,in the name of Progress😡👍❤️🇺🇸
🌟Hi Paul, wow awesome place bonus you got to explore in the dark! Love it beautiful history gone forever such a shame. Thank you so much again ☺️🌟❤️:-)
"Hey, that looks like a holding pen for kids"! LOL!! It really does! :-D It is absolutely saddening and maddening that these beautiful homes have been cleared away! :-( Hi Paul! It's so great to see you again this is Mary Clark the cop from Texas, if you may remember. :-) Do you still have your darling cat? :-) I remember the one place you explored a few years ago that had those wood floors that looked like glass. :-) I hope that you're doing well and am enjoying the cinematography as you present the video.😀👍
Living in Adelaide, I'm saddened by this. My in-laws refused to sell back in 90,s in area West Croydon, they were on local current affairs show's and it's our family's version of the Castle,as Dad in-law was only resident to not give in! Hence, they won and still there! This was superb 👍
Wondering who had prior knowledge of the area’s development before Kozy Kids bought the place. State/Territory Government Land Valuations Department’s have up to at least 7 years prior notice of major infrastructure changes, though you need to be connected in some way to gain knowledge of these changes. I feel sorry for both the effected families and owners.
Thanks for the walk thru, always wondered about this place I used to work behind the shell petrol station (formerly Kmart tyre & auto) before I moved. Cheers.
So the city forced these families to leave their homes so it could widen the streets, and then widened the streets without utilizing any of the families’ property. Whoops! How awful for these former property owners. Nothing could be more frustrating.
Progress....pfft...It's sad & disgusting what is happening to these old stately homes :-( Kudos to you for documenting them all so well. And so many of the lots never even put to use. The Australian government should be ashamed for this destruction!
Hello Paul. What a shame so many properties are being destroyed for an ugly intersection. I realize it's necessary, but still a shame. So, thank you for sharing them with us before they are gone. Take care. 🙂
Why is it necessary Cynthia????? Just so motorists can have an extra 3 1/3 minutes in bed? There is no excuse for this devastation. This world should be slowing down not speeding up. Adelaide used to be a lovely lay back city. Now its just like the rest of Australia...a world gone crazy!!
If more ppl left their F^*KING CARS HOME, THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED, I chucked in driving since 2016 after crashing through a stop sign Trennery St onto Marion Rd, I now ride a fat ebike with trailer
I actually cried at this explore. All those houses just knocked down like they are nothing. Just thought how I would feel if someone came to me and said,we need to knock your house down, so here's some money, get out. How can they get away with doing this, tragic 😫
Thank you so much for such a nice video.im still a collector of 70-90s tabloids and magazines and memorabilia with plans to order more a week from this coming Friday
Thank you for taking me on this explore:)Love all of your videos even tho they are gone:(you shed light on them .Kudos mate and god bless you each day. Love your friend from Fl.Barbara USA:) HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!
hey paul i enjoyed this video very much the homes of what people once owned and now no longer have so very sad to see and the Kozy Kids child minding centre of all the money spend to renovate to how they wanted it to look as their business then to be told not to long after to get out as its going to be demolitished is so very sad and heart breaking to see they were all very beautiful once homes video worth watching paul thank you so much for all you share in your explorations.
I drive through this intersection often and I totally understand the upgrade and widening of Portrush Rd. It's the major arterial road from Melbourne to the North of Adelaide for our transport vehicles. But, since the completion of the majority of the widening I'm struggling to understand what will fill the 5 or so metres currently not used for anything but a strip of dirt. So considering they went to all that effort to demolish such beautiful irreplaceable homes, especially the Kozy Kid's Bungalow. I really hope that space will be used to plant a ton of tree's and shrubs, a bike path and pedestrian footpath. Time will tell... Thanks for the memories, as I lived near that intersection and remember the original bungalow way before it became a childcare centre.
Love your videos! I live close to here and it was so disappointing to see the child care centre and bluestone villa get knocked down. I have heard that an ambulance station will be built in this location which is great but still. The roadworks to widen the intersection were infuriating and seem to have just moved the bottle neck up further.
Hey Paul you documented cozy kids so well mate loved it. I never got a chance to get to these awsome locations im kicking myself as Urbex was not really my thing in 2020 but now things are different im in to urbexing now and loving it mate cheers for these
I haven't watched this yet but my nanna had a beautiful house on Magill Road in Norwood back in the 70s..Us kids stayed there from the country every school holiday...it had fireplaces in many of the rooms....It was demolished in the 80s and they put a lawn mowing shop there ....nnoooooo..........
This is what documenting is all about. Showing future generations how lovely homes were and could still be today. How much of a waste our government is, Just to reduce travel time by a few minutes. The families not only lost their homes their neighborhood, childcare, businesses and vacant land still stands. Soo many wrongs!!
This makes me so angry. Why was the intersection widened. There wasn't enough traffic there to warrant this destruction. The trucks that travel on Portrush road IMO should be diverted to the back of the hills and run down Grand Junction Rd. If it was done for these reasons, it's a travesty and a disgrace.
It's very sad but the government's going to do what they want to do they want your house they'll take it then go all of the parents having to find new daycare probably new jobs I'm going to want to work in the area where the daycare is it's crazy with the government's doing to people thank you guys nice video

Thanks for the very sad video. Cars and roads are so much more important than your history. 😢 If I was the owner of Kozy Kids and didn’t get every dime back that I put into the property, I would kozy up with a very good lawyer. Again, thanks for all your work. ❤
@@urbexindigo5164 Good for Kozy Kids! ❤️ I love following your adventures and I’m not ashamed to say some of your stories coaxes tears from my eyes.
