Thank you for sharing the history on these properties and historic photos. It is so sad to see these neighbourhoods lost to development. Families being uprooted from their homes which are now only memories. It's heartbreaking! And the church that was accommodation... how awful when there are so many people living on the streets. I really appreciate all the time that you put into your videos. Thanks so much
I'm really glad that you are getting a chance to explore this place especially the churches before they demolish it all for the tunnel and look around in them take care and until next week Thank You. 👍🏘🇦🇺
Great video...Just another victim of the South road upgrade, sad seeing all those houses and buildings getting pulled down for the sake of a road...Tim tams how un' Australian to leave them behind once opened they don't last long haha.....Thanks for sharing Cheers MM :)
Paul, you are so brave, I was spooked! Sure hope the lead windows an stain glass are saved. The mini fridges can be recycled an the wood looks good. Thanks for the tour.
These were once loved and precious homes that people owned and its sad to see everything go to expand the road ways dam mate. But you covered this well mate. Im glad we got a chance to head out and visit the old church before it was gone for good. Cant wait for the follow up video mate cheers.
Thank you for uncovering and sharing the timeless beautiful history and stories behind these fascinating places being unfortunately lost to time and development...so many times have i driven past many of the locations you cover, and wonder about the past that is hidden behind their walls and people that have walked through their doors. You're an Adelaide gem Paul, thank you as always!
urbex Indigo thanks for sharing this video with it was a good Explore i really enjoyed it it was to bad that this Baptist church has been lost to demolished to make way for a road upgrade and thanks for sharing it i am from the U.S.A. and God Bless.
Thank you for sharing this. I live just down the road and have watched the upgrades to South Road over the years. My family owned a fish & chip shop just over the overpass of Cross Rd. I knew of a girl who actually lived in one of the houses many years ago. I guess its progress but sad to see these buildings & homes being demolished.
Thank You Paul for taking me along on this tour of a beautiful church. You are so inspiring with your knowledge on finding out all you can for us.I can't wait for more follow up videos on these gems.
Very sad, how can the government condemn a beautiful old church and a place that was so obviously needed. Absolutely shameful. I really hope the squatters are ok. Thank you Paul for sharing this with us. The drone footage at the end shows the absolute destruction. How many homes were lost? I am in Perth and we almost had similar here but we protested and it was stopped ( for now )
Hi paul, great episode, so sad that these churches are getting demolished. And houses as well. We where recently traveling around, came across Gulnare near Clare. As l heard there church may get demolished as well. I did notice that the foundation was needed to be looked at. The rest of the building looked good. Keep up the great work paul. Cheers deb
Well this proves that throughout life they'll be many changes -- in our lives-- and in our surroundings. That's why it's nice to take pics & be abit of an explorer. One day someone might take pictures of 'your' pictures & wonder what it was like 'way back'... (& the furture folks are talking about 'OUR' time period ! Folks of the future: " Oh look Martha -- Here's some guy named Paul-- Would ya just look at those old house's --" (And the 'old houses' would be from 2024 ! If the ladies could be from way in the future.) Hey, look at the '60 Min. Book' from what-- the 1970's or something. Look at those beautiful stain glass window's -- & the remembering of those who've past on. In this world-- one thing is true-- they'll always be life changing things happening -- Sad to see folks loosening their beautiful homes where they've made so many memories. The churches-🙏- where whorship service's were held, lunches, dinner's, bingo, weddings, funerals -- Fun times for kids at Christmas & the pagents -- & so on. Now it's just empty lots-- BUT THANKS TO PAUL & folks like him 'we' can look back and remember the past -- as it once was. Change is good -- without it how would we continue to learn & grow. Thank you Paul -- Please stay safe. Dang ! I'd volunteer to be quiet & play 'bodyguard'-- so many times it seemed like someone was on a bed, or behind the ding dang door-- looked like someone died on that bottom bunk-- my goodness --- Please wear a belt and have a combo 🔦 torch/StunGun --- I might come in handy one day
I had to laugh when you were at the broken window and said you weren't walking through there because of the still attached glass. I thought, "oh, you've seen that movie too"? 🤣
The timber beds look like they are in good condition and can be reperposed. Maybe the mattress and the other stuff in the room could have been done by someone with a mental illness that they thought someone was trying to get them.
Im about half way through the vid, there is still abit of stuff you could sell out of that place the sinks the beds the fridges and theyve been left behindand we havent gone up stairs yet. LOL
The vehicle number plate on the door S671BRP was from an unregistered Ivecco van with reg expired on 27/09/2021. The lead light windows were amazing. Especially with the deceased peoples names on them. I wonder what was up in the attic manhole where the ladder went at the start ?? I guess because you’re alone it’s not worth the risk climbing ladders with your camera. You definitely do a good job because I watched your whole video and only fast forwarded bits in the beginning after the manhole until it got interesting around where the hanging mattress was. I’m guessing drunk peeps were jumping off the banister onto the mattress or with the mattress using the rope to break their fall for fun.
Towards the end when you entered a small room with what looked like a patio gas heater and wondered if it had been used I hope not because I've heard of people dying from carbon monoxide poisoning when they've done that.
All these abandoned houses in South Australia or all over the country of Australia? It's really sad that people don't restore them back to their Originals because these are Heritage basically and vintage. And they're very sturdy you look at their houses these days they just been slapped together and it's like yeah that would do. I would really love to buy a country home and restore it back to his Village Way.
I thought Adelaide is a city of home demolitions .About every video I watch it's about demolition. You know the owners didn't get what they needed for another home. The goverment only cares about themselves and getting pay raises for nothing they do.

It's very sad to see the church has been torn down it made me cry
It was nice to see some original features especially the stained glass windows so beautiful. Cheers Paul bye
Do enjoy when you include the history.
I'm really glad that you are getting a chance to explore this place

Thanks for documenting this area before demolition.
More abandoned church? ❤i love your video❤

Hi Paul, another epic adventure lots of history behind it. Great shame that all those beautiful homes were lost forever. Thank you for the tour. ❤️😊🌟x
I understand in these hard time to squat where you can but why leave such a mess and do damage thanks for sharing with us Paul

I reckon somebody was using the mattress at 21:00 to drop things onto from the floor above. Easier than trying to move items down the stairs.
Thank You Paul for taking me along on this tour of a beautiful church. You are so inspiring with your knowledge on finding out all you can for us.I can't wait for more follow up videos on these gems.
Great vidéo I LOVE 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️😺😺😺👋👋👋👋
This is awesome, I hope you do the properties north of Anzac Highway too.

It’s such a shame that that whole area is going to be gone for the bloody infrastructure project sa government sucks
Any one know the songs name he plays at the intro ?
Hi Ian here it is :-) Cheers for watching ruclips.net/video/-YyQqU08SDI/видео.html
@@urbexindigo5164 Thank you mate :) dang song haunted me like your intro hehe..
The BUNK BEDS are still usable. Will they be sold or donated to another church??? And why would there be a "BAR" in a church?
Probably for soda and snacks!!
Whoever owns it obviously could not be bothered to pay someone to remove anything, easier to leave it all behind.
What are your thoughts on the business sign at 4:02 ? It's giving off Freemason vibes to me; especially with the letter A ...
Omg there is always one religious conspiracy theorist in every bloody feed isn’t there.
"Eve of destruction"

Disgraceful, typical government WASTE!
Bet they never build that tunnel!!!🤣🤬🤡
another waste of a good building. i did find the lack of bathrooms for so many people kind of strange.
That rego was for an IVECO Van last registered 2021
