- Hey explorers and house lovers!
Ok this video I plucked out 3 random explores I have had on file which are all from around the suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia.
A huge gentleman`s bunglaow/A creepy pottery/plant former home based shop and another old bungalow which has had some cool things left behind.
I have heaps of these videos still stored away so I will throw in some random`s like this more often.
Also as mentioned a few times I still have many history filled documentary style ones on the way which take more time and more research.
Hope you guys enjoy these explores Cheers for watching :-)
Always enjoy the respect you have for these abandoned properties!
Yes, thank you Zozo, I do try not to disturb too much in the pursuit :-) Cheers for watching :-)
Hahaha hahaha hahaha 😆 😂 🤣 awesome entry urbex your a cool 😎 dude cheers 🍻 to you man always awesome 👌 👏 videos stay safe and stay cool 😎
It nearly brings you to tears the first two houses where lovely they have style and they are to be gone forever except for you great videos
I honestly get happy when you post a new video. It's nice to explore with you. 😊
Glad you enjoy it Misty, glad I can bring you along in these explores! :-)
The two Bungalow style homes had beautiful lime stone facades. Such a pity so many houses are left to ruin and go to waste. Again really interesting explores thanks Paul.
Hi Julz! Only just getting back through the comments now! Hopefully that first home gets restored!! Shame they divided it in to two though. Cheers for watching again :-)
Thanks again for exploring.
Very cool explores. Thought the first bungalow was gonna be a no go.The Metallica poster in the second one was a nice discovery. Look forward to the next explore. Stay safe
Glad you enjoyed Bryan, yeah shame the first one was divided in to 2 , cheers for watching :-)
Beautiful homes. I love the hardwood floors, and the windows.
Glad you like them, cheers for watching feathercatcher2 :-)

Love you guys! From Georgia USA
Hi Sherry :-) thanks for the support and for watching :-)
Thanks for the explores
Very generous helping of urbex today mate ,, couple of lovely old girls. Too far gone to save I guess. Big thanks for an evening’s entertainment while out in the truck. Cheers mate.
Glad you enjoyed it again mate! Yeah the first one hopefully can get a restoration. Shame they divided it though. Cheers mate! :-)
I love to watch your videos and all the very different styles of homes in Australia. Especially, the very old and forgotten ones, all original with original furnishings. The homes out in the country. Those are my favorite.
Be safe!!! I truly admire you are definitely one of the more intelligent explorers out there knowing you need to use a mask to protect your lungs. I wish other explorers would just get it!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing. You are awesome!!!!
LOL "Hello, anybody home"? I sure hope not. 😅
I love the porch on the first one.
Very varied group of homes. Another interesting explore, Paul! Be careful. Glad you had your mask on. Stay safe!! ☮️♥️
Cheers Diane :-) Thanks for watching
Thank you for taking us along on your tour. ALWAYS enjoy your videos. Love the outside stone wall on the first house, and loved that leather chair. Am happy you wear your dust mask; stay safe, take care, God bless you. Have a nice evening, Paul.
I look forward to your explores
Thanks Terri :-) Glad you like them! :-)
I love your housing adventure :) The first Bungalow was built solid .....i bet it was a beautiful home at it,s time :) I always love to watch you explore ....Thank u so much for the walking tour.... i love what you do ....Thank u for taking me with you
Hi Ricardo :-) So glad you are enjoying these explores, many more to come, thanks for watching :-)
Is the first bungalow on Anzac highway??
Great video mate thanks.
Love the stone work on the outside of this home.
My heart stops when I see you gaining access like this. Not for the feint hearted!
Hi Jo :-) A calculated risk 🙂
Thanks mate, really interesting trifecta!
😎👍
Glad you enjoyed it mate, thanks for watching :-)
Appreciate these videos! Love old local history.
Glad you like them Gabriella :-) Thanks for your support
I hope the first house is saved and renovated, it would make for a huge house once opened up, and the veranda is a great undercover area for kids to play and have as a work shop. The other 2 houses aren't so special. Thanks for sharing.
The garden of the first house with cut gras - seems somebody is caring of the property.
Thanks again for sharing your videos. I love the work on the first two houses the stonework is beautiful. The big cracks, you can tell that the days are numbered. The third house has been through a lot.
Thank you very much for watching Brenda :-)
Hi Paul! Really loved the first two houses they were in very good condition loved all the features and the facades. The third house was very sad to see such trashing no respect for others people’s property but still an interesting adventure. Hope you were wearing your snake gaters! Thank you soo much again.! :-) :-) ☺️❤️
Glad you enjoyed it again Megan :-) Yeah the first one would have been a very prestigious home back in the day. Adelaide was renown for those big bungalows. Cheers for watching :-)
Wow what a beautiful front porch, that house looks awesome 💖
These bungalows had some beautiful stonework. Loved the old leather chair. Yes Metallicas one of my top faves on my music list!! Other than the cracks these homes would have been really nice at some point.
Glad you enjoyed it Prue :-) Hopefully the first home can be restored. Glad you love Metallica too! :-)
Hello the chair in the passage of the second house are like ones they use in old peoples homes. Do a lot of houses in and around Adelaide suffer from cracks in the walls from movement in the ground. Thanks for another great explore Anne
Hi Ann, yes Adelaide sits on reactive clay soil that contracts with the seasons causing foundation problems in the older homes built before the 60`s. Cheers for watching :-)
Sunday again love it sorry was late today but I made it 😂
Great videos once again
Love it. I'm about 2 hrs away from here.the gentleman's Bungalow looks like it's near urbrae
Great video mate 👍. As a fellow Adelaidian it’s so interesting to see and explore abandoned places like these which are local and also right under our noses. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it SadChimp :-) Many more to come, thanks for youe support :-)
Oh that first home was big beautiful sandstone
It sure was Cat :-) Cheers for watching
It’s sad to think at one time the houses were neat and pretty with families making memories! Now they are gone.
Hi Paul, thank you for this episode and putting your health at risk for us to enjoy these houses.
I loved everything about the second house except for that ugly ugly extension. Really hope they save the glass doors and windows. First house I could easily live in it as is with a little tidy up.
Great old houses, would have had plenty of charm in their day, now just a a run down old place, bit of a shame there, Cheers for vids MM :)
Glad you enjoyed it MM :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 Always do mate love your format :)
That gentleman's bungalow is stunning I have always wanted to live in a house like this, absolutely beautiful
You and me both Nicole! :-) Cheers for watching
2nd house…chair with wheels, in the US are g-chairs (geriatric chairs) mostly used in nursing homes. And the couch was behind the 2nd chair along the fence. ❤️ from south Louisana
The second home has a beautiful design on the ceiling, and I really like the front door with that glass.
I’ve always loved that gentleman’s bungalow, keeping a eye on it since the early 90’s when I first noticed it being so out of place, considering it’s location, hoping one day it wouldn’t be engulfed by its surroundings, rather it forever being the last bastion of times gone by, but as I drove past it last I noticed the boards on everything, thank you for the tour and a record of its existence, as I’m not very optimistic about its future!
Great comments Crofty Kx :-) You are spot on about it being the last along there as that stretch was filled with these huge statement homes. I will def be keeping an eye on it, maybe end up getting a peak in the other side :-) Thanks for watching
That first house would have been amazing!
Agreed Mari, a home of statement in any period :-)
I love the front porches if i could move one of those homes to a big piece of land man what find! Course i live in the US so that wouldn't happen! HA HA
Especially that first home Pam, what a statement home :-)
I really liked the big stone house. 😀🇺🇸
The black and white tile reminds me of a fifties diner. That had to have been a beautiful home it's day. I hope a happy family lived there. HELLO! From Miami Beach, Florida
Goodonya, Paul. 48 min & 10 sec of fascination of Aussie history. Wondering if the 3rd house was a transportable which is similar to my daughters first house ... untrashed of course! Perhaps a person in that house was a tv repairer. Cheers, Ken
Hi Ken :-) Thanks for watching and support again mate !:-)
Just viewed 2017 ABC News in-depth report on Australia’s Apartment building crisis regarding systemic failures over 20 years in building high rise tower blocks with defects. RUclips Title: Cracking Up | investigating Australia’s apartment building crisis | Four Corners.
These older structures you’re exploring outlasted the modern constructions!
Have fun and thanks.
Hi William :-) Yep it is mind boggling the standards we have been forced to accept due the the mighty dollar....Give me one of these old homes any day! Cheers for watching and the comments mate :-)
Wow, 60 Minutes Australia has a 2019 segment on Sidney Opel tower fiasco, horrible for owners!
Oh I just came across this !! I love this kind of stuff 😁
Nice job mate!👍👍
Cheers mate! Thanks for stopping bye! Hope you guys are well over there! :-)
the last house looks like one of the old transportable houses from the old Leigh Creek township that was put in place in the early 60's or so to provide additional housing as the coal mining operation expanded. All the transportable houses were sold off in the early 80's when the coal field encroached on the old township and a new town was built about 20K's south of the old township so the old township area could be mined. There's plenty of old town transportables all over SA and you still see a few on the Nthrn fringe of Adelaide where this house probably is.
You could be right on there kendokunti :-) Def looked like that to me. Cheers for watching :-)
I actually drove past this place three days ago and wondered to myself if you were soon to explore this as I’d love to see it inside! Thank you
I love watching these homes documented from my home town it’s sad to see them slowly go due to development
Thank you from a fellow Adelaidian
Hi Taryn :-) Cheers for not giving the location. Back in the day that stretch was filled with those big bungalows :-) Yep they just keep vanishing . Cheers for watching :-)
The first one....loved the rock/brick work and the front porch. Shame they made duplex out if it but aside the cracks it was a nice home. The second one....again the porch was great and the house (aside from cracks) was nice. Wonder if the owners removed stuff from there to add to their new home. Hope they save the ceiling work. The third home....wow I feel like I need a shower 😁. You definately were a busy fella....stay safe 💗🕊️
I'm from Adelaide, it's amazing just how many homes are vacant and in a state of disrepair. That's actually a nice home.
The first place looks like it may be in Ashford near Anzac hwy/south rd
Great filming as always, UI. I had a horrible feeling the water leak in the first house was coming from the toilet, but I won't dwell on that. The second and third houses looked like bomb sites. I think the owners might have taken the tiles and mantle for reuse in their new place. I can't remember when I last saw a stack of encyclopedias like that. The last house looks like an early post-WWII prefab.
As soon as I saw those units I knew exactly where you were. Sadly, I'm thinking this beauty will bite the dust soon 😓
Before this video started I gave it a thumbs up.
First house was a shame to lose, second had a couple of interesting wing back chairs, look like they came out of a closed library reading room, big money for those in decent shape here. A friend of mine bought two leather examples at auction, and made a packet on them.Third house looked to be an early pre-fab, maybe early 50's there were a load of those done post war for the veterans. cheers!
Omg....it's gorgeous
loved the first place I hope its going to be all fixed up looked in pretty good nic that second one yes those cracks went very good at all and the third one maybe was some kind of business ran from there
Yep the first one at least it looks like there care enough to try preserve it, hopefully that means a restoration! :-)
Love your music!! Cheers!! Bye!!
good exploration
Thanks for watching Elmin82 :-)
I do like it
Do you ever feel anybody's presence in the houses you go into? Great video's by the way. The only Aussie who has these video's. Love it.
Hi Jen :-) Yes sometimes I have definitely felt I am not alone, and one time I heard a man cough and clear his through in a hallway while I was taking photos! No one else around anywhere! Cheers for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 freaky.
First house was my fav. Would have been nice to see the house in its original form and not a duplex. Thanks as always for sharing your exploration.
Yep shame they divided that beauty Julie :-)
Love this man.
Love, love, love your music..do you know who is singing?
Here it is JoAnne :-) I slowed it down for my intro :-) ruclips.net/video/-YyQqU08SDI/видео.html
Beautiful home all the sandstone
I like those brick fireplaces in the first home.
I really enjoy watching your videos, your enthusiastic explanations of the houses and places you visit as well as your desire to disturb as little as possible, it makes your videos worth watching.
Any chance you'd visit Victoria after Covid?
Thank you so much Lukas :-) Yes hoping to get back to Victoria in October! Cheers for watching :-)
G'day Paul , great to see you left the Metallica posters there , I'm sure it was tempting tho , good man !!! I wonder if the tiles missing in the bathroom was asbestos removal . . 🤔
Probably beautiful in the day sad to see 👀 these homes destroyed cheers 🍻 urbex
Hi Paul! As always, kudos to you for a great video and narration of several abandoned residences. I enjoyed a late breakfast while watching it. I am hopeful that all is well in your world, and that you have been able to avoid the Covid virus. As far as I know, I haven't caught it, and I have been vaccinated. Well keep the videos coming, take care, and stay safe... Chuck
Glad you enjoyed it Chuck! :-) Yeah avoiding all the flu stuff :-) Glad you are still enjoying these videos mate, many more to come :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 I think you create the best abandoned videos on RUclips, Paul. You keep-um coming, and I'll keep watching. Stay safe my "down-under" friend... Chuck
The first home was sweet! The second? Tore up from the floor up! The third? Well that one bought the proverbial farm...literally! LoL
Yes mate the first one winner for sure! Hopefully it gets a full restoration! :-)
Do you ever worry about an owner coming upon you while you are in a property? Hello from Arizona USA!
Hi Kara :-) It has happened a few times and you need to be prepared to talk your way out of it. Luckily the times I have been approached they have been cooperative with permission and further info on the house. Although one developer tried to make me delete the photos but they did not want to call the police either because he thought I was from a media company haha :-)
We don't shoot trespassers in Australia,
@@dolts1234 no not in the cities ya dont but here in the country we do haha
@@cheyennenoble4502haha I'll remember that next time I go car hunting in the country, 👍
@@dolts1234 lol just not the ones who have signs about claming the will shoot on site 🥴 good luck
When you looked out that side door icould swear a car was visible half parked in a shed.
From 17:00 is my uncles house mate, not abandoned their getting a town house built on there instead and sub divided it and sold the other half. House was very old got alot of memories in that place.
Wow really ? That is cool to have a rellie see the video! :-)Yes the neighbor said another home was to be built after a subdivision. Love these old bungalows! They do suffer from the shallow foundations an wall cracking though. Cheers for watching and commenting :-)
Nice old farm house and barn yard to every thing was gone
Amazing video 📷 thou
Sad to see perfectly good furniture left behind, surely could have donated to charity.
Love your videos and Metallica too!
It’s so sad that people’s lives end up like this..!
Love sand stone on that house it so pretty really nice place to bad get in sec part
Good morning Paul,I couldn't believe they left that Chesterfield lounge sweet, they always been my favourite n I bought one when I come here , they're so expensive and the tired leather makes look more nice ,I think one of those Metallica posters should be saved by you ,I know don't suppose to touch or take anything but that's going to the rubbish ☹️ N I always wondered is there a need for people to trash a place that much? ok Paul,I enjoyed this video thankyou till the next one 🤗From a Frenchy in Australia 🇫🇷🇦🇺
That place with the poster is long gone but it would have been nice to have the Metallica poster :-) The lounge im not sure what happened it it in the end. Cheers for watching again Frenchy! :-)
I am in the United Sates and there are a TON of abandoned properties here too. I always wonder why they are just left to stand there for years and years. Kind of sad
Great finds! What was the foil/blue paper? that was all over the yard in home #2?
Hi Sandra, I think it was roof insulation? Cheers for watching :-)
Excellent...
Now for a silly question, why does it seem alot of houses in SA have cracks?
Hi Kerrie :-) A very valid and common question and Adelaide sits on very reactive clay soil which contracts as the seasons pass which causes subsidence in the foundations resulting in those cracks. Adelaide is known for having the highest rate of wall cracking in Australia and building codes were changed in the 60`s to help counter the clay soil. :-)
Ok now l know Thank you 👍
The first house was interesting was to bad you could not get to the other side . A little sad though as I could imagine an old brothers sharing the duplex .You did kind of rush through the place so we didn’t quite get to see if there was any art deco left on the ceiling of the place . The flooring was quite interesting.
Second home was way more interesting though as you really spent the time looking at the details the ceilings , wood work , a quick blip about the floors and those fire places and where there where obviously other wood burning heaters. I guess the cracks on the walls is what encouraged the owner to tear down and build new . I do hope they realize they will not be able to have a home with as much character as they just do not build them like that anymore . That antique furniture left behind or even the other pieces of furniture should be salvaged to be recovered and or donated to charity. They have chairs like that one on wheels at the hospital in my city for people recovering from surgery or for people to sit in while they receive treatment or give blood ( shivers ) .
The last place wow must of been a nice and quaint home , but I do see sadness in the place as well . Imagine a small family living in this home running a small business. There was not a whole lot of character, however the home still felt like a nice place .
I really hope the little shit vandals who did all this destruction and damage karma finds them as adults and their own homes are broken into and destroyed while they are out of town on a vacay or even just out for the day . I mean there is absolutely no reason to destroy someone else belongings or home like this .
The good thing is the house is still not destroyed to the extent where nature has really taken over . If someone bought this property they could fix this place up again and live there .
Thank you for filming all these places and documenting their existence. It would be kind of cool though if like the second place you could get a back story on what happened to the owner/s and the last people who lived in these places .
Hi Charlene :-) Yeah usually those big bungalows like the first one are more elaborate and I think that one was stripped of its charm when they made it a duplex. :-( I did like the second one too, classic Adelaide home. I will try get some info on that second one :-) Thanks for watching
Master of puppets I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master...
Great album! Metallica is the band that got me into metal at 15, 31 yrs ago! And Justice For All was the album.
Second place had very good lighting for a place that has had the power cut...
Thought i was clever for a second there. Upon further thought, i guess there's no roof on the add-on (hence scrap metal in yard) and light is coming straight through the light fittings?
At 41:07, were those more egg cartons stacked in the lower left corner?
Hey love the videos man, where is the first house located? Wouldn’t mind having a look
Sometimes where I live in the United States. They are supposed to board up the windows. Your idea of people getting in, sounds better.
I'd be a gentleman for a bungalow like that!!!💖💖💖
Haha good call Jackie :-) Cheers for watching

Hey Paul I just happen on the interview with the odd young man who said he like playing the piano for people, you used clips of it in one of your videos. I wondered where that came from
Hi WIlliam, here it is here- ruclips.net/video/IehtMYlOuIk/видео.html
holes in the floor could mean house will be chopped in to pieces and moved to new site
