WOW!! I have just discovered your channel today and I have just sat here for 6 hours addicted to it. Your videos are incredible. The old Fry house blew me away, devastated its gone. I can see I now have hundreds of hours to catch up on. Keep up the great work. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hi thanks for another great explore all great the butcher shop was an interesting change. Keep up the great videos and stay safe while exploring Regards Anne
😂😂😂 I cracked up when I saw the poster on the loo 🚽 “Piss off.” They obviously had a sense of humour. 😂 I loved that home. ❤️ Thanks for another great explore. 👍✌️
Love the combination explores always a surprise, the first place was interesting 🤔, really loved the second place nice facade on the outside, loved the character inside to definitely would make a great Reno project, aww you found a kitty 🐈⬛ love kitty’s. The third place quite interesting nice character on the outside and the grill work always gets me love it. Pitty about the trashing. Thank you 😊:-) :-)
Thank you Paul for an interesting contrast of three explores, all from different eras and used for particular purposes. The second property was typical of a 1930s build with the rendered facade, internal air vents, generous size rooms, sash windows and pine flooring, instead of the hardwood within earlier period homes.
The second house I loved. The tiger ring tied to the light pull string. Those old round brass doorknobs I think could be 20s. I'd love to discover abandoned homes too.....Adelaide here.
I got an unpleasant feeling from the hostel, like it wasn't a happy place. The house would be nice with a whole lot of cleaning, and new floors. The butcher's was interesting. Thanks, Paul
What a cool place that second one could be! Aside from the bathtub was braced up because it was about to fall through the floor. The place itself and the yard though, amazing!
The second would have been quite a lovely home at some point. The wall paper gives almost a shabby sheeck feel❤ but still original through out. Cheers for the walk through 👌👍
Great video! Love the second home. Maybe the huge room was a dining room and living room. There are lots of homes here in the USA like that. Thanks for sharing your explore!
Good morning Paul,I was looking forward to your notification and as usual great video, the second house was beautiful I love to have that huge backyard loved that tree we Europeans love to eat Al fresco under a beautiful tree like that and also loved the striped wallpaper, the last one was a bit eerie with the meat storeroom 😱 I'm a girl and if I could find someone to go exploring I would love to do it is really interesting, thank you Paul for a good start of our Sunday . have a great day big 🤗 from a Frenchy in Australia 🇫🇷🇦🇺👍👍👍👍
First place was huge but a bit bleak looking. Second house was a beauty once and with some TLC could be restored. What a awesome size yard too. Third place was interesting how it morphed into a pretty big small business.
Stunning property💓. I love the opening song of your videos Paul, so well done. Thank you for all your work, so interesting to watch and there are moments i am so lost in that which I am watching I actually feel like I'm there too, which goes to your filming😊 Love the grill work in 3rd property💓
On the first home I thought 'traveler hostel' until I saw Katrina the Monday 'guardian' posted. A youth hostel, for sure. Very spartan accommodations at that! The second, CREEPY 21:14, maybe a boarding house or re-purposed for office space before it went abandoned? The third, a major meat supplier for the neighborhood and surrounding area? That place has prodigious square footage and A LOCKER ROOM. Meaning a crew of butchers and meat-cutters were employed. Good use of repurposed buildings, that doesn't happen any more. Thanks for the explore, Paul!
love the big stove in the hostel 2nd place I would say a combine lounge/dinning and the third place they just wrecked a beautiful house to use as a business
I’m sure all of the homes where beautiful back in the day the second one I’m gonna say maybe 40’s and that last one they really messed that up thank you for sharing a awesome video take care have a great day 😊
Wow! Another great video Paul. The Karinga Hostel probably could be restored and used again. It did give me the creeps. The blood on the floor looked like a body had laid there. It’s amazing how many places you go to are up for development. You never know what lurks in tall grass! Lol. I recently have seen pic of huge spider webs covering huge areas outside in Australia. Spider season? Is this a fact? Hopefully harmless.😳 Cheers!
Thank you for another amazing episode Paul !! Yes you always do find the most difficult point of entry. I felt the 2nd house maybe 1940s judging by the windows. Thought I was watching a Hitchcock movie when you were walking towards the back of the property and the bird calls kept getting louder. How awesome would it have been if the cat then jumped on you and was captured slo-mo on camera, lol
I'm thinking that the 1st place due to its age (1950's) may have been a small private hospital or RSL type home. The 2nd place looks early 40's. It would be great renovated and cleaned up, the sizeable backyard and sheds would be a bonus. The final site looks to have been the classic 1910-20's small store with attached residence that simply expanded and took over the adjoining properties over the years, back in the days when local shops - especially butchers made good money. Thanks for the explores and sharing the vids.👍
Ah , The land of Meat pies and Foster's. The lack of defacement in the Hostel is amazing, we could learn a thing or two from your system. It does ramble a bit. The second home was indeed, older. Must be closing on 100 years. When business take on a building, function is king. I haven't seen a time punch clock in a video before Old School certtainly.. Cheers!
Thanks UI for another great explore. The heavy-duty locks on nearly every door of that first place gave me a bad feeling. I doubt that all was ever well under that roof. The outline of the Aboriginal flag appears in the graffiti in the cupboard. The second house had an early 1930s look about it with minimal updating. As for Schapel's, while the interior looks a bit sinister the street frontage has an interesting old-time appeal.
Hostel looked nice no damage from the previous occupants, second one was very well lived it perhaps it had 2 owners hence the very old wallpaper, the meat works did not have maney meat hooks hanging from the ceiling, so perhaps they onley prepare it for shops i guess.
Wondering how much the owner paid for the conversion of his home and all those coolers and freezer units and all they lost leaving it all behind. I know it's a whole lot. Thanks for the tour.
I would have loved to get my hands on the tins in one of the sheds at the second property. I hope someone selvages them & that they don't just get destroyed!
The Hostel had an RFID (not magnetic) door system. A mix of SALTO and something else (probably a cheaper but compatible alternative). Would have just allowed for easy management of door access for staff and those living there. Saves having doors keyed differently and keys cut / changed.
Hi, Paul!!! Great explores. What is an Aboriginal Hostel? It looked like a lock-down for troubled youth. So, the 2nd house would be amazing if someone totally renovated it, and kept the entire lot intact, with landscaping. of course, no video is complete without your comments about cobwebs, and now your upsetting the local birds, and now the poor innocent cats, lol. It os interesting to me to note that you all seem to have the same thing with the 30's era homes that we do here in the States, with that weird Aqua Green paint. It is on every single home of that era, somewhere. Do you know why? Like it was the cheapest paint they had, or something, or the only one the could get during the war? The 3rd place, I just hope they save the Victorian Grillwork, and doorknobs and things like that. I could smell the meat when you made that comment, my stomach dropped. I hope you're well, I understand you are back in lockdown? Stay safe- SDK
Hi SDK :-) Yes Indigenous hostel for troubled youth. Haha I have come across many cats and rescued a couple. I will being uploading a video of them :-)
what is the song in the intro "singing along finding the long way home, we didn't mind the time or place or weather..." I Googled the lyrics but keep getting a modern song by Super Tramp
That hospice is in restorable condition. Why isn't being used as a homeless shelter, or something else that could be useful to the public ( community center, medical clinic etc.) ? Does it have asbestos insulation, or what?
At 37:53 I hear a woman’s voice can’t quite make what she saying.sounds maybe she said dead or damn. Not sure if there was a female with you but that was freaky
I always feel angry and sad at the same time when I see all the beautiful homes and properties you show us . Once loved family homes which would of cost a pretty penny to build in their day . All these homes whiteness many happy , sad events and where once all filled with love ( ok maybe the institution was not , however the homes where . Now the buildings with all their memories all either lay neglected with nature taking over or they are slated to meet the wreaking ball and bulldozers so modern day cookie cutter trash can replace them . Especially when homeless is at crisis levels .
@@urbexindigo5164 Yes so sad about homelessness and several of the homeless are children either with or without their families. Many wildfires destroying and displacing people as well . Here it is City , Provincial and Federal Government as the government structure and I really really feel all levels of government should not be allowing any dwelling to sit vacant or be knocked down . Here now in my province the provincial government has implemented a vacancy tax and the government local , provincial and federal do have the authority to seize properties. The local government here just seized the downtown property of a commercial rental agency after the historic building was destroyed partially by fire leaving the remaining structure on the site , which takes up approximately 1/2 a city block as a large gaping pit on the corner of the main street . City is now in the process of figuring out how best to utilize the property which has some challenges from the site once actually being a filled in part of a bay which once came from the Ocean downtown to the material used to fill in the lagoon being junk .

That 2nd place had a really huge yard. Just imagine how many ticky-tacky boxes a developer could put in there. Great explores Paul, as always.

Such a waste the well built homes are being replaced with cheap fire traps.
I do enjoy the different bird calls.

Thanks again Michelle for watching and your support :-)
I bet the kitchen alcove you filmed at 23:30 with the red hanging light was a built-in banquet originally.
Good call Andy :-)
Thanks again for some great properties. loved the second home with all the outbuildings. Appreciate the Closed Captions (CC)
I can’t believe that last one use to be a house, amazing. Another great video thanks Paul. 😀
